I played V2 for 750 hours. All that time i had no interest in playing weaves, for 3 reasons: bad reputation, having to start progress from 0, and complicated rules. Few days ago i tried it with my GF and it was pretty fun. But more than that, it looks like a HUGE missed opportunity by Fatshark. One problem with this game is that there are only about 20 maps, so even with randomized waves it becomes repetetive. Weaves maps are the opposite - they are so different, and with great looking visual effects, that playing them in normal mode would give V2 infinite replayability. If we had maps randomization in normal mode, with all those visual effects (but without modifiers)... add to that V2 Versus and dedicated servers and DAMN, would that be a perfect game.
It was a huge missed oppertunity for sure!! They deffinently screwed up big time... But I found myself actualey enjoying myself and thought id give them a helping hand in hopefully bringing back at least some of the player base. Wether I was succesfull only time will tell :P And yeah it would be much better if it wasn't a seperate game mode. Anways as always thank you for watching and commenting Kuba! :D
My issue with weaves right now is that they still feel separated from the main game. And, looking back on it, maybe that was and is still the intension of the developers, but i still think that they need to be integrated into the main game like modifiers. For example: instead of only choosing the difficulty of the map at random (on regular play) you could also choose a modifier in which the map is the same, but with added modifiers of the specific weave.
I've been playing V2 for 500 hours since Winds of Magic dropped and I've never known about the shortcut to the Arcanum at 0:41. Just for that I'm leaving a like since it's gonna save me tons of time.
Have been waiting for season 3 to start weaves so this was perfect info! Thanks man, you made mine and my friends game like 10 times better with your videos.
Haha xD I can understand that but it honestly doesn't take very long if you just play a few ranked weaves and then go back to playing normal games. A week later you are maxed from just playing normal games! :)
you gave me my motivation back to continue playing this game campaign and chaos wastes became too boring on cataclysm never tried weaves really hard, but now i will :)
I started playing 2 weeks ago ( thanks to a sale ), and i love this game. running champion with Footknight now and i think im ok ( hope so ). And i had some randoms that i playe some time take me into the weave rank 1 so i can get the stuff to upgrad, was vey nice of them. One thing i miss in this Game is some sort of Horde mode, defending a Fort or something with things to upgrade or Barrikade or helping troops like archers. With bigger waves as it goes on and stronger waves, mix bosses in between. Man that would be fun.
I can only agree with that! :) It does have something that's similar to what you are describing although without the siege element called Fortunes of War. This is a map you have to unlock by finding 3 different hidden runes in 3 different maps. In this map you have to survive as you get hit by waves of ever increasing difficulty. It's by far the hardest map in the game and if you survive you unlock a special icon which increases in bling bling for beating higher difficulties. Anyways glad to have you here, hope you enjoy the content, and thank you very much for watching! :)
@@ThePartyKnife Oh yeha i unlocked it today with the help from 2 guys from quickplay, its a similar but not quite the same i miss the upgrading defences part.Im realy glad i found your content on this game i learned a lot from it..and im so waiting on the Footknight Mastery Guide!
@@Kaeldo Kaeldo There is a new kruber class coiming out called the Grail Knight in about a weeks times when season 3 starts. Proabably gonna do him ASAP since it's the first time ever they release a new class! :D But I will get to the footknight eventually!
I can verify that you need to complete a ranked weave to be able to earn essence in standard matchmaking. However, playing quick play weaves will not unlock the ability to earn essence in standard matchmaking. You will have to complete at least the first ranked weave to farm essence in standard matchmaking, and the more ranked weaves you beat the more essence you're able to farm from a standard game. Unfortunately due to their being no bots in ranked weaves, it makes it hard for a lot of people to start farming essence. I currently have 4 quick play weave wins but 0 ranked weave wins, and I currently earn no essence from standard matchmaking. I earned some essence from the quick play weaves but not much at all.
Tried weaves today for the first time. I really enjoy them. I tried them when they came out, although i dont really count that because it pissed me off instantly and drew me away from vermintide. Seems like ive done it all right :)
Death/Amethyst weave doesn't have white hp degen timer/cooldown. It starts to degen instantly the moment you get it and thats why everybody hates it, but they don't know why.
No idea why but ive never played this game. Will receive my deluxe copy tomorrow together with 3 other friends to make a full party. Great video m8ey, thank you.
Why thank you very much friend I'm glad you liked it! :) And if you have the luxury of a full team of friends I would deffinetly try out weaves at some point once you and your friends have mastered the basics!
@@ThePartyKnife only just noticed you have multiple videos on vermintide :)) will be sure to start watching tonight as i never sleep anyways 😂 subbed btw, keep it up 👍🏻

The reason I am not streaming at the moment is because I recently moved to a new apartment in Copenhagen and due to coronavirus they had to postpone the installment of fiberoptic network :( Basically I've been using internet share from my phone for 3-4 months now xDDDD But it should be up and running soon at which point I will be streaming as well! Much appreciate the interest and ill put a link below in case you wanna stop by some time!
Oh boy, ive been waiting for this one. Great vid and i agree, didnt play many weaves in season 1 and didnt enjoy them either. In season 2 i completed 1-120, many of them more than once and i have to say, i enjoyed it ALOT and i really hope they get a better reputation. There were a few weaves that really stuck out compared to the rest but not many. 3rd and 4th totem weaves like you mentioned was probably the worst. The blightreaper map (Warrens?) was almost always a pain to complete for my team, if we did something wrong or if the map is just hard i dunno. Another really big downside (at the moment atleast) that i have no good solutions for is that you need a set party of 4 players good enough for cata+ and willing to do all 120+, took me almost all season to find people willing to do it. I feel like Fatshark did a great job improving them over season 1 and i hope they have improved them even further in season 3. Hopefully people will realise the potential weaves have and start giving Fatshark some love for all that hard work instead of just hate. Great vid as always, will be looking forward to a more advanced weave guide (hopefully?) to reload for season 3!
Yeah admitedly this was a fairly basic guide. But thought id do this first to see if I was capable of increasing the player base to accpetable levels :P Not sure if I will succeed but feel like weaves need a higher player base for an advanced video to truely be worth it. But if Fatshark improve them even further for season 3 and they get an increase player base then I would absolutely love to do a more advanced guide! :) Also thank you very much for watching and commentinngn friend!
Hey! Really like watching your videos; I just have one question, do u think Shade will be playable on higher lvl weaves? I play on ps4 and in most of the cases it is really hard to control bosses, so I play Shade as my main, which helps my team to get rid of bosses really quickly. What is your opinion about that
I think she is most definitely playable and viable on all difficulties of the game. However. As you increase the game difficulty her skill floor, or to put it in another way, her margin for error, decreases rapidly. That is obviously the case for all classes but especially on the higher difficulties for Shade in particular, it's very much a very high risk/high reward situation. Although I haven't tried it with a controller personally, I could very easily imagine this might prove extremely challenging and even more so playing the console version. The problem is often that you need to use your ultimate as much as possible in order to reap the rewards of playing Shade. But at the same time every second you are in combat without having your ulti off cooldown you risk getting annihilated in the blink of an eye simply due to tiny mistakes regarding your positioning with no failsafe to get out of there. Hope that makes sense and thank you for watching!
ThePartyKnife Yeah, I completely agree with what u just said. I currently play with sword and dagger, and feel pretty comfortable by killing on distance from enemies, if I will feel struggle in higher weaves, I will probably switch to dual swords ;))
Aight, you convinced me. I was interested because of the Lore banter is was missing out on. But it actually sounds like it might be fun. Also i probably have 300-400 Million Essence anyways.^^
I guess it would be a lot of fun to figure out how to beat a weave with friends. There are two main reasons why i don't play weaves. 1. I need to level my gear again. I would prefer if i could just focuse on the challenge. 2. My friends don't play vermintide and its a pain to find randoms for weaves. Great video btw :)
Yeah I can totally understand your perspective! Am doing my best to increase their player base and hopefully season 3 from fatshark comes with more improvements to the game mode making it worth it for me to make a more advanced weave guide. Anyways thank you for watching friend! :)
You have to finish less than 10 normal missions in the main game to collect enough essence to max out one weapon. In Weaves it's way easier to get what you would call a Red Item. And it's free of costs to change the stats. The Level-up process is no problem at all. You should join Weave specific groups to find new people.
Starting over from 0 sucks, but the level of customizing you can do to gear will make you never play with out weave gear. I only play weaves becouse the normal game does not give me the customizing of gear.
@@ThePartyKnife From what we observed there is definitely a change in grey health; it starts diminishing immediately at a fast rate compared to regular behavior where the decay slowly accelerates if you don't get any new temporary hp points. This *might* only work when you have no green health, but it needs testing.
Can confirm the issue, at least it was an issue in season 3. It was a sudden spike in difficulty, especially in solo or for a party of two. Tried to play zelot and constantly run out of hp, until realised the problem. Depletion of temp hp was increased when you were hit at least once with a this white ball of hatred, which is almost inievitable. Was not fun at all.
Good question. To be quite honest I don't feel entirely comfortable telling other people how to use their money :P I'm probably quite biased but in case what you wanted is my opioninn then yes! It's worth it. Anyways much appreciate you watching!
Vermintide 2 has 13~21 maps depending on if you bought the dlcs, and let's say they made each map so it could be influenced by the winds of magic, of which there are 8. This would result in 104~168 unique map variations that would add an unbelievable amount of depth and variety to the game and its atmosphere. Add night maps, and maybe a weather variation and the possibilities are incredible. I've seen games like Dota 2 that implement different weather and lighting modifiers on a single map. Although it's technically always the same map, the modifiers give it a different feeling from game to game. This really keeps things from getting stale. I know that technically this doesn't make entire new levels, but this is what I think people were really hoping for with the WOM. Not some completely separate game mode, but instead modifiers that add depth, atmosphere, and replayability.
@@tehman7230 Yeah it's gonna be fcking amazing! Also super hyped for the new class! Especially because this likely means they are working on classes for the other 4 heroes as well! :)
Not a bad idea and duely noted! :) Also thank you very much for watching and like, video suggestions are always appreciated wether on or off topic hehe!
I personally love to use the spear on the mercenary! Gives him that extra bit of mobility on top of good block modifiers for extra survivability! You just gotta make sure you know the attack combos for trash/armored and your good to go! :)
I completed weaves 1-120 and I admit I had fun. But when I was done I didn't touch it anymore and quickly went back to normal mode. The biggest issue that finding competent teammates is often harder than doing the weaves itself. Especially later in the season it got harder because lots of the 'good players' were already done and didn't feel like going back to weaves again. I'm not sure if weaves will get over its reputation problem. It's not only the season 1 mess causing it... it's also the bad reputation of Winds of Magic as DLC. It still has mostly negative reviews on steam and many issues are still there. People don't like having to grind again and apart from weaves the dlc lacks content.
Yeah I get what you are saying and I don't necesarely disagree with it either. Finding a team is deffinetly the hardest part and that's what I'm trying to do something about. But I feel like there is so much unused potential in what they have created but it needs some serious reworking. Anyways much appreciate your thoughts andn thank you or watching! :)
Can anybody help me please? I am playing ranked weaves for the first time with some friends as a guest. I have played many but they dont count in the book of achievements so I cant get the portrait... what should I do? Play all of them again as a host?
They don't register in the book unless you have a continues win on all the maps from 0 - X. As an example if you have done 0-38 and 40-72 then in the book you will only see 0-38 until you finish 39 and then all 0-72 will show! :)
UA-cam notifications smiting you again for me xD But yea, been playing a little bit of weaves with a friend and been loving them, also one more thing I gotta say. I absolutely hate and love the exploding rats :D
hahaha yeah that specific weave is on one hand soooooo much fun. But on the other hand it's sooooooooooo much cancer hahaha xD Anyways much appreciate you sticking around friend and thank you for watching! :)
Just saw it! :D but honestly i haven't tried him in weaves yet so I'm afraid i don't have a good response to your question. thanks for watching though.
@@ThePartyKnife ive been trying it I still dont really know how it would be since I'm only on my tenth weave plus I'm alone. but hey monsters go down pretty fast so I have that plus.
If they had just combined the athanor, using it to enhance the base game weapon system instead of keeping them separate, and had S2 changes and bug fixes right off the bat, then WoM would not have had nearly as rough a launch. In fact if they had many bug fixes right off the bat this game would be way better.
So I've completed a few weaves and I'm getting no essence from normal games. Have I not done something important? EDIT: Nevermind, I figured out I needed to do a RANKED weave, not just quickplays.
Oi, do you have any tips for true solo weaves? Such as which class to avoid/depending of the objective which class you should take and other stuff like that?
I think the only viable options for doing solo weaves is: Shade, Handmaiden and Battle Wizard. Depending on how high up were talking possibly: Witch Hunter Captain, Zealot and Huntsman could also be viable options. Hope that helps and thanks for watching! :)
So, if you play ranked weaves with bots, do you need to upgrade their equipment and talents from the Athanor as well? Or the game uses the regular builds?
Great question! And yes in weave '''Quickplay''' specificly you are entirely spot on. The bots will use whatever you put on that hero. But in terms of ranked weaves there simply are no bots. If you que alone you play alone! :) Hope that makes sense and thanks for watching and asking!
No. dont waste your money on it if you only want the glowing weapons. they are weave only weapons and cannot be used outside of the gamemode, but shadows over boganhafen has purple glowing weapons for 50 shillings each and veteran rank weapons have glows as well.
As for weapons on handmaiden do you think a more defensive, yet mobile weapon like the spear could be good? Seems like her goal is just to live and get objectives, so low killing power isn't much of an issue, and the 180° block angle seems great
I've tried to play the weaves but right now when I try to craft my first weapon in the athanor to progress. My game crashes, anyone with the same problem?
I have a gazillion essence from playing. The only thing that deters me is that I have to start upgrading all that weave stuff to keep doing more weaves.
I spent 6 months trying to convince my friend to play weaves and now he can't progress past Weave 7 (Bright waters) because not enough enemies spawn. Anyone else had this ?
I haven't tried it myself but I have had 1 or 2 comments mentioning a similar issue although this was somewhere around weave 100-110. My best suggestion is to try and do the weave really slowly so that you are absolutely certain that 1: you hit all triggers and 2: not a single minion despawns. Afraid that's the best I got for now :(
yea dude same here I can't get past 12 because I'm running around the map with nothing spawning. There's a reason why most people don't play weaves I think that is it.. it's too buggy.
@@rlock8453 It has been fixed. The issue was that the second essence chunk did not spawn. Not it does, so you can collect enough essence to open the portal
Ironbreaker is decent :) otherwise for very high level weaves... ehh yeah he kinda is :P and yes although purely cosmetic. You do unlock a bunch of frames to show that you are a badass :D
@@ThePartyKnife Thanks for the response.. What about weapon cosmetics? Thanks, also do you know if ps4 will get the free DLC? And how come the currency system is on Pc only? Sorry for all the questions I have maxed characters on ps4 and I am starting fresh on Pc
I've been playing some weaves with the one friend I hella got into Vermintide. (I'm at ~1k h, he's at 200+ and we're currently trying to get the last maps on Cataclysm.) Although we're past the first weaves that were so easy we had to force ourselfs to play since it was so boring. He's always having to decide if he wants to play cataclysm for the fun, achievments and honor, Legend for full book runs to get his full equipment (he has 4/5 red weapons on his main build and practically none besides these. Also: Why is the loot from completing cata not just as good as full book legend runs?) or weaves since I know weaves are going to be fun when we get to that point, sacrificing any progress towards equipment for the rest of the game. Imo that's just a sacrifice that shouldn't be a sacrifice in the first place. I got used to equipment system for the main game and since I got 95% of what I want so I don't have to care (that grind though...). I like the weave equipment system, since it allows you to FREELY USE YOUR EQUIPMENT by switching weapons, traits and properties without grinding for dust, the garbage reroll and so on. So I'm okay with both equipment systems individually (the first only because I already did a LOT of grinding by playing a lot though), but why do we need two systems? The only "downside" to straight up removing the main game system would be that those who did grind hours and hours of full book runs just "lose" that progress, though it's not even lost in the first place, it's just that everyone else also gets it.
I totally agree. It was a somewhat of a mistake to copletely seperate the two rather than combining and improving the overall system. Anyways I much appreciate you sticking around and sharing your thoughts! And thank you very much for watching friend! :)
@@ThePartyKnife Oh I just can't stop running my mouth, or I guess my fingers in this case. I just hope they aren't absolutely over proportioned. :P You do post informative videos, something I've been missing since J_Sat. Always on the edge when it comes to improving at this awesome game!
Oh man, I tried weaves with no clue how anything worked with my brother right after buying the game and all DLC…. And oh boy… aside from our inexperience we had the absolute WORST first try. (From what I now know-) we got the invisible wind on an open map (the one near the orchard and farm) and immediately got about 3 gunner spawns + stormvermin (this was on like either recruit or vet btw). We got crushed so hard and I’ve felt burned ever since. I honestly feel an interest in the other winds….. but I NEVER want to play invisibility AGAIN. 🤷🏼♂️ P.S. there’s no way around the invisibility is there?
Don't play it. You don't get anything out of it for the normal campaign, no weave-based gear, or cosmetics. You basically begin with no power and have to grind it to play higher level weaves. Just do Deeds, they are much more fun and you get something out of them, at least. This gamemode isn't worth your time, just stick to playing normals on Cata to get reds, which you can make better gear with. If we got weave cosmetics and gear with better stats (reds just max out stats) from this gamemode, then it'd be really good.
I respect your opinion but it's really a subjective statement. You are telling people not to play it because you don't find value in the gameplay itself. And like it's totally fine that you feel that way but I personally enjoyed the gameplay itself. Also the fun of deeds really start dropping once you have done 1.500+ and want new modifiers hehe :D Anyways thank you for watching regardless :P
@@ThePartyKnife okay, so my question would be: why did you exploit (warp/skip to end of map) that many deeds instead of actually playing the deeds? I'm sure I would get bored of deeds do if all I was doing is restarting the same map over and over again, having the victory screen pop up and repeating the process for countless hours, just so you can have that shitty frame for however many deeds it was (or whatever else completionist goal you were going for). Also here's a non-subjective take on why you shouldn't play weaves, but instead focus on getting better at the game to have fun in Cata3/Deathwish Onslaught(+) difficulties: Weaves promote absolute fucking degenerate gameplay. You just have to look at the leaderboards or some weave 120+ gameplay. It's just CC or sprinting/dashing through the map with invis, having your shield up as Handmaiden. Why? Because there's "fun mutators" like "enemies are completely invisible unless they're right in melee range". Also, another non-like-super-subjective-not-opinion: if you start your weaves with a 4-man group, you better hope that you found some no-life people that are always available if you want to progress through weaves together. Should one of you fall behind or not be on the same weave anymore, you're going to have to replay however many weave levels that person missed out on all over again and torture yourself through some obnoxious mutators that make the game seem like a shitty party game or force you to cheese the gameplay with spamming CC or good old Handmaiden Shield+Spear boredom. If you find dogshit gameplay fun and you don't want to get better at the game and just have party-game-like mutators and endless frustrations of having to find people to play ranked with (which becomes especially impossible in higher weaves), then weaves are totally for you.
Why should you play weaves? So controversial yet so brave since the community, even I, hate them. I wish Xbox weaves would stop crashing so I can actually get to 120.
I can't speak for Xbox users specificly since I've never tried it on Xbox :P But I do mention in the video why I myself used to HATE weaves hehe :D anyways I much appreciate you watching! ;)
Also being able to customise your gear down to the tee is so wonderful, sadly i cant play normal missions because I'm so used to my weave load out being so customized.
i been turned off weaves cause i went with a group and we did weave like 140 or something, and every weave at like 100+ is literally just going to a cheese spot(yano strategy) and just hoping things go right, its not fucking strategy its just boring and stupid, had WAY more fun playing fortunes of war or modded cata, earlier weaves are challenging and fun, but when u get to those high ones its just bullshit
Yeah at this point Id totally agree... Was trying to breathe some life into the failed game mode since it had a lot of failed potential, hoping FS would do some more drastic changes. By now it's just a long grind for a cosmetic frame :P
@@ThePartyKnife wouldnt it be great if they had somehow "weaved" the winds of magic into adventure mode, and made it optional, like u could activate it in the map for extra rewards or something, and had a whole set of challenges for completing them, thats what i envisioned when i first heard of WOM before it came out
There is some potential in weaves, though i think Fatshark should use some of that weaves stuff in normal mode. Give normal mode those changed maps and great visual effects... and some rewards like allow playerse to use red illusions in normal mode if they finished 120 weaves.
i have a love/hate relationship with the weaves. i like the gameplay in a team of friends, figuring out how to finish each weave. but also everytime we finished one i dont want to ever have to play that again! but thx for the tip with the hero combination
I love this game, really. I have 2000+ hours played and still have so much fun everytime but I can't help it, as soon as I start a weaves map I start constantly yawning and have to stop out of pure boredom.
The biggest problem is there is no carry over to the main game. I like wom. They should have made skins based off the different magics. Not skins per say but effects like lightning crackling or fire effects around the character. The weapons skins should have also been a carry over. That way it would be popular and have incentive to play. Unfortunately it is dead content. You don't wanna grind for nothing.... Sad missed opportunity could have been mega
Yeah I would t end to agree at this point :/ was a last ditch effort to breathe some life into the game mode but with Chaos Wastes I see literally no reason to play it outside of grinding hard for a frame... :P
@@ThePartyKnife I know only a frame. Just not worth the time. They could have made it mega and so many people would have brought it. All they had to do was make special effects for each magic. Then some achievements to unlock weapon skins. Terrible pack of opportunity
Unfortunately you need to find a team first before queingg the ranked weave otherwise your chances are very low. Use the weave quickplay, play a map and ask for help! ::)
@@ThePartyKnife Yeah in Australia every weave quick play lobby I joined is 300+ ping.. only way I can think of is play some normal game and join someone and hope he dont mind try some weave

maybe they changed a lot but its still SHIT! 1. no players(same as in cata, paywall content) 2. gear progress(just annoying for new players) 3. poor map design (let them run backwards they wont notice) 4. no bots in ranked! ... but the worst problem is 1. when u hide content behind a paywall ofc you will have a small player base and everybody is stuck on their own rank which decreases the number of players even further... sometimes i just have to think that game devs have a IQ below room temperature
I’m personally not a fan of weaves. No one ever plays them which to me makes them irrelevant. I can see it being fun with some friends, but most of the wom update was done to appease tryhard type people who complained about the game being too easy. Weaves are by and large untouched by most because fatshark split the player base by making them pay to play. They look gorgeous, but its a mostly wasted effort I think.
but that's exactly what I'm trying to do something about. Most people don't play them because other people don't play them which makes it a viscious cycle that is hard to break. They have a bad rep that I personally don't feel like they deserve anymore and I thought Id atleast give fixing it a shot. Will it work? Probably not xD but I guess only time will tell hehe :D
@@ThePartyKnife I feel you dog I really do. Honestly, I hope people start playing them more because of you. For me the experience was just kind of ruined a long time ago. Splitting the player base for no reason, prioritizing ranked leaderboards in a flippin co-op game, all when everybody just wanted some new maps. These are the critical problems that make weaves stupid to me. I'm glad they run smoother and make more sense from a challenge standpoint, but weaves are just dead to me.
This is possibly the worst extra mode I've seen in any game in my 30 years. In order to get the Essence to advance, you need to beat the first ranked weave. But after the first month, no one in the world is playing the first weave, so you have to do it alone. LITERALLY alone. With no bots. A game designed to have four players/AI at all times suddenly expects you to go it alone. Fatshark should be ashamed, this is pathetic.
Yeah I've since given up on the game mode. I was hoping they would fix the issues if the mode got a bit more traction but at this point we are all just playing chaos wastes anyways xD
Damn, I didn't realize how heated I was when I wrote this. I came off pretty harsh, but my opinion of it stands. Winds of Magic is in an awkward place where the later you buy it, its value decreases exponentially. So if anybody's reading this and hasn't gotten WoM, well... wait until it's on sale so you can get the new weapons, anyway.
"old ass horror movie like the ring" bruv the original came out in 1995 and the remake was 2003. thoughr you were gonna say frankenstein or nosferatu, at least something black and white
so they ripped off D3 but didn't copy any of the mechanics and itemization that makes Rifts so addicting and worthwhile in the first place. how dissapointing. Why would they make it a seperate gameplay mode and alienate the player base? These are like 2004 level mistakes with how gaming is done nowadays.
Yeah unfortunately I do agree... It's like... Once they fixed the most major mistakes the game mode was dead. This was my attempt to breathe some life back into it in the hopes that fatshark would then improve the obvious mistakes... Ohh well I gave it a shot at least xD
YOU NEED TO PLAY RANKED WEAVE 1 IN ORDER TO GAIN ESSENCE FROM NORMAL GAMES!
Does that mean completing or just trying it?
@@sonicxsamc Good question xD ehhm I honestly don't know ... :P But if I had to guess I would think you have to complete it. :)

I totally agree! :)
I only play weaves, if the main game was more like weaves the game would be perfection
I've been playing V2 for 500 hours since Winds of Magic dropped and I've never known about the shortcut to the Arcanum at 0:41. Just for that I'm leaving a like since it's gonna save me tons of time.
haha thannk you very much and you are most welcome my friend! :D
Have been waiting for season 3 to start weaves so this was perfect info! Thanks man, you made mine and my friends game like 10 times better with your videos.
Awww thank you so much man!! That really means a lot!
And the guy who asked you to play weaves because we were 1 guy short was none other than me. Yer welcome, maet
Do I know you? ¯\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯
I love how they look but cant make myself level up all that stuff
Haha xD I can understand that but it honestly doesn't take very long if you just play a few ranked weaves and then go back to playing normal games. A week later you are maxed from just playing normal games! :)
man i do love trying to play ranked weaves fucking alone with shitty spam of specials all the time
Yeah It's kinda horrendous at this point. No one is playing it anymore so this video is kinda outdated.
you gave me my motivation back to continue playing this game
campaign and chaos wastes became too boring on cataclysm
never tried weaves really hard, but now i will :)
Yeah I've since learned you need to play ranked weave 1 in order to unlock this feature from regular games! :)
Oh man I wish people in Brazil played weaves. Playing with 200+ ping is no fun at all.
Yeah 200 ping is ... not optimal haha xD
Eu jogo no Brasil, se você for do xbox, dá um toque aqui que te mando minha gamertag
That is correct!! :)
How did you capture that footage? The flying around part 🤔
very imformative, than u, imma get the dlc soon
No idea why but ive never played this game. Will receive my deluxe copy tomorrow together with 3 other friends to make a full party. Great video m8ey, thank you.
Why thank you very much friend I'm glad you liked it! :) And if you have the luxury of a full team of friends I would deffinetly try out weaves at some point once you and your friends have mastered the basics!

I'll start weaves today with my friend. Never knew about essence, but can confirm I havent gotten them.
YaaaaY video succesfull! :D haha but for real though thank you very much for watching friend!! Much appreciated!
Could you maybe post your Characters Weave setups? Like recommend weapons and their properties and talents?
What do you do if you have no homies that want to play through the ranked weaves? Because these don't allow bots right?
Good video! Time to grind
And so it begins ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Also thanks for watching! :)
Am i crazy or do grey health diminish faster in the amethyst weaves?
Hmm that's a good question. Honestly not 100% sure but it could be the case! Ill have to check that out but regardless thank you for watching! :)
Hey, it's level 23 Anathor that's last giving something. Also, is progress (I mean all the weapons and amulet) reset on each season?
Yeah I think so. But there is very long between each season! :)
Is there anywhere to find solid weave builds ? I can't find anything solid
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 - Content Bundle is on sale now. Is it worth getting?
Good question. To be quite honest I don't feel entirely comfortable telling other people how to use their money :P I'm probably quite biased but in case what you wanted is my opioninn then yes! It's worth it. Anyways much appreciate you watching!
@@ThePartyKnife Thanks for sharing your opinion!
Agreed! :) a different atmosphere can do so much to change the feeling of the game. And thank you very much for watching and commenting friend! ;)

is there any benefit to normal games from playing weaves?
I don't think so. It's a completely separate entity which is my opinion was a questionable decision by Fatshark :P
Its very off topic but could you do a breakpoint guide for the different weapons?
Not a bad idea and duely noted! :) Also thank you very much for watching and like, video suggestions are always appreciated wether on or off topic hehe!
Do you Think Mercenary with spear or anything at all is usefull in weaves ???
I personally love to use the spear on the mercenary! Gives him that extra bit of mobility on top of good block modifiers for extra survivability! You just gotta make sure you know the attack combos for trash/armored and your good to go! :)
ThePartyKnife ok thanks
UA-cam notifications smiting you again for me xD
But yea, been playing a little bit of weaves with a friend and been loving them, also one more thing I gotta say. I absolutely hate and love the exploding rats :D
hahaha yeah that specific weave is on one hand soooooo much fun. But on the other hand it's sooooooooooo much cancer hahaha xD Anyways much appreciate you sticking around friend and thank you for watching! :)
Hey idk if youll see this comment but what do you think of the outcast engineer in weaves?
Agreed :)
So I've completed a few weaves and I'm getting no essence from normal games. Have I not done something important?
EDIT: Nevermind, I figured out I needed to do a RANKED weave, not just quickplays.
did you complete a ranked weave?
i think u have to play at least one ranked weave. thats when u start getting essence in normal gameplay
Nice! :) and thanks for watching!
@@ThePartyKnife thanks!
@@ThePartyKnife I see. Thanks! 👍
i though u got the archmage potrait at 120 or is it 140? If thats the case then why bother going up to 160?
Yeah that's at 120 :) the remaining 40 are just for the ladder I guess :P
Can we play ranked weaves with bots?
Afraid not :(
Glowing weapons are only obtained if i buy this DLC?
No. dont waste your money on it if you only want the glowing weapons. they are weave only weapons and cannot be used outside of the gamemode, but shadows over boganhafen has purple glowing weapons for 50 shillings each and veteran rank weapons have glows as well.
As for weapons on handmaiden do you think a more defensive, yet mobile weapon like the spear could be good? Seems like her goal is just to live and get objectives, so low killing power isn't much of an issue, and the 180° block angle seems great
Yeah usualy you are gonna either use sword and dagger or spear/spear and shield. Also thank you for watching friend! :)
Thanks for the content

I've tried to play the weaves but right now when I try to craft my first weapon in the athanor to progress. My game crashes, anyone with the same problem?
Sorry :( never had that issue myself. Try asking on our discord or on the forums? Also save the crash log and I'm certain they can fix it for you!
I have a gazillion essence from playing. The only thing that deters me is that I have to start upgrading all that weave stuff to keep doing more weaves.
yeah it's kind of anoying :P

You do post informative videos, something I've been missing since J_Sat.
P.S. there’s no way around the invisibility is there?
OK, I'll give it a try :P
That's thje spirit! :D
The ring is an old movie? Wtf.
Why should you play weaves? So controversial yet so brave since the community, even I, hate them. I wish Xbox weaves would stop crashing so I can actually get to 120.
I can't speak for Xbox users specificly since I've never tried it on Xbox :P But I do mention in the video why I myself used to HATE weaves hehe :D anyways I much appreciate you watching! ;)
Yup. Only 8 pepole actually made it to weave 120 on xbox

Are the rewards worth it?
I find the shorter more intince games more my speed. And how its always different with a random objective.
@@ThePartyKnife wouldnt it be great if they had somehow "weaved" the winds of magic into adventure mode, and made it optional, like u could activate it in the map for extra rewards or something, and had a whole set of challenges for completing them, thats what i envisioned when i first heard of WOM before it came out
The weaves are more bugged than any other mode. I've had important objectives and even other players needing to be rescued spawn under the map.

You should play weaves to get better in the game.
Learn how to survive in Cata 3.
agreed
maybe they changed a lot but its still SHIT! 1. no players(same as in cata, paywall content) 2. gear progress(just annoying for new players) 3. poor map design (let them run backwards they wont notice) 4. no bots in ranked! ... but the worst problem is 1. when u hide content behind a paywall ofc you will have a small player base and everybody is stuck on their own rank which decreases the number of players even further... sometimes i just have to think that game devs have a IQ below room temperature
They need to add bots to ranked weaves. Noone is in the queue for low level weaves.
So these are like Diablo rifts
Yeah that's a decent analogy I would say! :) Also thank you for watching!
ThePartyKnife assuming you've played Diablo, I guess. No worries, thanks for the vid. I just returned to the game and was confused by weaves.
so they ripped off D3 but didn't copy any of the mechanics and itemization that makes Rifts so addicting and worthwhile in the first place. how dissapointing.
I ll never play weaves again...
I grinded threw the whole game, i wont do it again, pathetic game design they made in wom... makes me frkin angry
Fair enough :P
@@ThePartyKnife :O i ve never seen ya use so few words, did i shock ya :P
@@platoonmexx9278 nahh to be honest I'm just tired as fuck atm so was admitedly doing low effort responses xD
