I'll add one more reason.. The Keaton batsuit is by far the best of any movie.
I felt the same till I saw the bvs suit
Absolutely! Also best Batmobile and best Joker
@@hkn777 facts
@@spectrexr1 but my comment is for 89 Batman 😂 bvs is also very good I ve to say 😊
@@hkn777 lol I agree with your comments
Michael Keaton will always be number 1 for me as Batman along with Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman.
👍🏼
Amen...so nice to see people that understand this😊
Beautifully stated. Yes, I agree 100% that Keaton is the best Batman/Bruce Wayne. I remember when I first saw the ad in the newspaper for this movie and seeing the studio photo shoot of Keaton standing in front of the Batmobile I was excited not disappointed like so many. I knew Keaton had the potential to play the character seriously and darkly despite his comedic background.
His is the standard by which every other Batman is judged.
Also, his Batmobile is the best depiction of it ever. Beautiful and sleek not some clunky tumbler or a muscle car. A blend of the comic and a realistic looking design.
So excited for his return in the flash🎉
Did NOT disappoint!!!
It was glorious
Not only is he the best but he set the tone for how the character was inevitably performed by most live action and animated interpretations. The voice change, the mannerisms etc.
Always Michael Keaton.😊
It's been nice to see Keaton finally getting the recognition he deserves in recent years. And not just for the Batman role.
At 6:33 that piercing gaze is pure Batman. Just with a look is more batman than any actor that followed.
Christian Bale was good, and that trilogy was good. But you can't touch the Michael Keatons.
Keaton* 💯 hands down
👍🏼
Kevin Conroy
Michael Keaton was one of a kind. There really didn't need to be anymore Batmen after him. It just killed the franchise to add all these actors to follow after
Let’s put it this way. I went to see The Flash just to see Michael Keaton as Batman and he didn’t disappoint.
Michael Keaton is my childhood batman But bale is my batman now . I do still love Keaton's facial expressions under the cowl so much . He has a smug and slightly crazy look on his face and that little grin he does when he hits someone is awesome.
When I was a kid, I thought Val Kilmer was the best Batman. But when I matured and got older, I changed my opinion… Michael Keaton is the best Batman now. Bale is a good Dark Knight but I feel like with those movies it’s more about the direction, not really the performance of Christian Bale as Batman
I love his Bruce Wayne. His awkwardness, his inner conflict, I still think it stands against anyone’s Wayne.
Michael Keaton is perhaps the best Batman actor ever lived--perhaps he was second to the GOAT and legend himself, the late Kevin Conroy. 🦇
Keaton is No1 for me. Born in 85 so he is MY batman. Bale and Pattinson are excellent also. Conroy and the animated series were amazing.
You are absolutely right, Michael Keaton struck the best balance between playing Batman and obviously Bruce Wayne.
To this day he remains by far the best actor to play the role of the Caped Crusader.
Plus, Keaton himself has often come across as a reasonably likeable guy.
You hit the nail when you said Keaton's Batman felt like a superhero. Keaton made Batman larger then life which is something I feel a lot of the modern Batman movie's today lacked. What also help Keaton's Batman was the music by Danny Elfman. Elfman's iconic theme made Batman feel epic, god level, and super hero like.
I agree with you! Keaton is the best Batman of all time! 😊
Yes I agree 💯 that Michael Keaton is the greatest Batman and Bruce Wayne of All-Time!!!!
Keaton is better then the rest because hes good as Bruce and Batman. I want him to get another solo movie
Noone has ever been able to nail both the way Keeton did. Period.
Kevin Conroy
The Porsche-911 style Batmobile and the WWF/WCW “Attitude- Era” performance by Keaton is what sold it for me. Exactly how a man crazy enough man to dress up as a Bat at night and fight crime, ad well as beating up a bunch of homeless people would 100% be in real life!!
Impeccably stated. Agreed Michael Keaton is the best Batman/Bruce Wayne ever for all the reasons you stated. I once read an interview about how MK first tried on the suit. He found that the suit was like a sensory deprivation chamber and when he learned this, he decided to use it for his characterisation. What he decided to do that day with his character and costume definitely influences the character on screen and gives gravitas and depth.
Keaton is the best because of how uncomfortable he was as bruce wayne. He is Batman to me. I was also born the day this movie came out and my older brother has never let me live down the fact that he and our mother had to leave the theater halfway through the movie so she could give birth to me and he didn't get to finish the movie until a week later.
Michael Keaton's Batman is always going to be number 1#!
Kevin Conroy
@@djangosusamogus742I think it's about live action Keaton 🦇 is the GOAT 🐐
Love M.K. as Batman! Everything worked in that movie... Michael, Michelle, Jack, Kim, Prince...
Let's not forget... Michael 🤭🤭🤭
Is it a problem if michael keaton is my favorite batman when I'm 22? I wasn't born when these movies were made
No! Means you have your own individual mind and can make smart choices after looking at all the others and evidence...my kids are 36 down to 28 and he's their fav too...
I am French but I lived in the USA from 1988 to 1996 (with my wife who is English) and from 2003 to 2008 (with our very young daughters then, born in England first). The USA tested our steel to then "to protect and to serve" as a family motto.
I met Stan Lee in 2008 and have been inspired to be a better me via some Marvel, Dc super heroes.
Also, Michael Keaton height wise is like the real Batman: as stated in DC Comics Database:
"...BATMAN from his origins, we have clues that the character was between 5'9 -5' 11 .Kane was inspired by Douglas Fairbanks who played Zorro, Fairbanks stood 5'9 .
Kane admitted that Batman was part of himself. Kane stood 5'10. ....Kane himself admits agreeing with Tim Burton, in one of his interviews about the Batman 89 movie, saying that if Batman was tall,he wouldn't need to dress up in a suit and cape,he could've just use a ski mask and it made perfect sense for him to be average. He also states in another interview that anyone could be Batman, that is why he was created...
By the way, Batman co creator was Bill Finger whom designed Batman as muc as Bob Kane
He's about to show everyone why he is the best batman in the new movie.
Keaton was great. His last line was heartfelt.
Keaton. That's all I have to say about this
Keaton was the best, and he played in the best atmosphere. I think Ben Affleck was actually second for me, it's just a shame we didn't get to see him stretch his wings in a solo movie.
He was the WORST Batman .. BatFleck anyways
One thing i realized about Keatons Batman, its hard to put into words but, while Ben Aflek's Batman felt like Aflek's version of Bruce Wayne in a Batsuit (not a bad thing) Keatons Batman did not feel like "Keatons version of Bruce Wayne" in a Batsuit. Its like we were getting a manifestation of so many things when he had the suit on, but any hint of Bruce Wayne was no where to be found. At least in the '89 movie, not quite to the same degree in Batman Returns. It was as if Bruce Wayne was passively along for the ride to fill the shoes of this feared masked vigilante, who just happened to be him because no one else had the means. In my opinion that's what helped make Keaton's version feel deeply shrouded in darkness, especially when he confuses his personas at times in both of Tim Burton's movies. While I love every adaptation thats come after, it seems like darkness is portrayed in modern adaptations just by turning up the dial on Bruce's anger and quest for vengeance when he's wearing the suit. While I also like that type of adaptation, such as Robert Pattinson's Batman for example, to me it felt like Pattinson's Bruce Wayne in a bat suit because his Bruce Wayne is already strongly grounded in vengeance. However when there is more of a disconnect between the two personas, like in Keaton's version, it feels like Batman the myth, rather than Bruce in a bat suit.
People should note that Bob Kane thought Val Kilmer's Batman/Bruce Wayne was closest to his vision.
What counts is Bill Finger s opinion.
@@TheVetoSkreeemer Seeing as how he ripped off The Shadow, it would be Walter B. Gibson's opinion that matters.
@@JDoe-gf5oz Maybe, or the creator of Zorro.
It wasn't really Bob Kanes vision. It was Bill Fingers. Bob Kane only made up a Superman looking Batman. A red suited man with wings
after seeing the flash, Keaton is the best batman.
Keaton is the only batman for me
Michael Keaton is Batman.
He is the BEST by default. Cause he is the ONLY ONE for me. Followed MAYBE by the twilight kid.
Keaton did not win the Oscar for Birdman. He should’ve but didn’t.
Keaton was the best. Affleck was a close second. I'd actually put West third.
I agree!!
Don’t know who my favorite is, but I do love batfleck because we got to see a broken batman
Agreed. Also, the NES Batman game was the best until Arkham City.
Keaton is the greatest Batman to ever Batman
MICHAEL KEATON IS THE BEST BATMAN
Michael keaton was best batman. Also Ben afflek should have had is own batman movie.
I've been saying hes the 🐐 batman for decades. Its nice to see people have finally agreed. Notmonly was this my first movie in theaters as a kid but its what got me into comics.
Best Batman is Keaton and the best joker is Nicholson hands-down
Yessir
Hammil= best joker voice
Batman=Keaton
Joker=Phoenix
Catwoman=Pfeiffer
Penguin=DeVito
Alfred=Cain
Animated Batman=Conroy
Animated Joker=Hamil
Best Batgame=Arkham City
Best Soundtrack=Prince and Danny Elfman
It was really a different time, dark but hopeful, criminal but a booming economy in the 80s. Burton at his prime. I love Nolan, but there is no balance between realism and comic book.
Tim Burton films may be bit on the campy side compared to the more serious tone of the Chistopher Nolan films, but not one person can turn round say Michael Keaton did not give incredible performance as Batman.
He is the best Batman by being the best Bruce Wayne.
I’d like to explain why he is the Batman in a different way…Let’s say Michael Keaton’s Batman/Bruce is Adidas, other Batman’s/Bruces are like Abibas, Adibas etc 😂
Nike would of probably been the better analogy as michaels bat boots were a pair of modified nike airs
@@rhyslightning3037 yeah actually thats a fun fact 👍🏻😂
@@hkn777 imagine being kicked in the face by batman and the last thing you see before being knocked unconscious is the nike logo 😂
@@rhyslightning3037 😂😂😂
Keaton is god.
Keaton is amazing and holds a special place in my heart, but Batfleck is the true GOAT.
Keaton is to Batman what Connery was to Bond.
Pattinson is my personal favorite, but more and more I learn to appreciate Keaton's approach to the character.
Other than the 2 pieces of sh*t after Keaton, I tend to lean on the concept that Keaton's Batman fits Burton's world, Bale's fits Nolans, Affleck's Snyders etc. Keaton's slow mysterious drama-reveal Batman could never work in Nolans, nor vice versa. Different universes, different takes, means different Bruce/Batman's in movement, speech, fighting styles etc. Just different. I think Bale got better stories, Keaton got a better Gotham and Affleck we didn't get to see enough but if I were to say his warehouse fight scene is the most accurate cb style as to how he'd have to take on mulitiple armed men. Keaton's 'let them come to me' style wouldn't be surprising. Even in Begins, his Batman did that a lot, let the criminals build fear by hiding in shadows. Not until TDK did he 'attack'. But I think Keaton nailed the troubled inner world of Bruce better than the others. I think Bale came close. Affleck didn't get a chance to do anything with it bc DC/WB sucks.
There's not been a definitive version? Bro have you seen Robert Pattinson? He's the closest adaption to the character more than anyone else literally the perfect Batman. Keaton was my favourite until Pattinson he just took it to a whole new level.
Obviously Keaton is the best...notice all the others tried to copy his choices. He never copied Adam West. (And Romero is second only to Ledger as the Joker; I'm not a Nicholson fan. Btw, remember Frank Gorshin as the Riddler? STELLAR.)
I would agree about Michael keaton, but I'm a fan any way he makes a great comedy actor- JOHNNY DANGEROUSLY, MULTIPLICITY, & others, so I'm probably biased.
I feel that BAT MAN is the point more than Bruce Wayne (he is at his most interesting in the costume/suite) this original film, is the best lead actor Director combination as they shared the same...vision
BAT MAN BEGINS worked so well NOT because of Christian Bale, but because of the great writing & directing Bale being his usual wooden self & I DIDNT like the DARK NIGHT, I'm suprised that you like Heath ledger's joker to Jack Nicholson's, I prefered Nicolson despite some over the top drawn out acting, Ledger made the character too viscious I thought.
Michael Keaton is by far the best no debate! After him it's Val Kilmer. 💯
Kilmer did ok as Batman but SUCKED as Bruce Wayne.
Idk Keaton’s batman is very dry and almost one note feeling. I would argue joker overshadows batman in 1989 just like in dark knight. Keaton’s batman feels so much an insane killer. Legit smiling as he straps a bomb to a thug. That isn’t batman
I hope Keaton's Batman finally gets his storyline concluded so a Batman Beyond film can get greenlit afterwards.
As much as I love the actors, I think Batman Returns peed all over the first one.
I think this is an AI channel but I kind of don't care
It's not, I promise you. I'm the Creative Coordinator and I manage all of our scripts. I write many of them myself and the ones I don't write, I have a team of four very talented writers working hard on them. No AI, just a bunch of passionate and nerdy folks wanting to make the best videos we can.
@@joshuaryan3040 thank you.. interesting to know.. Nerds Rule !!!!!! Lol
Nice video, I wish your website didn't trash anything DC, especially the decent so called "Snyder" movies. The studio are to blame with a watered down goofy product now. From what I'm learning the Flash is mostly a comedy. I think Flashpoint deserved to be serious, maybe with the odd placed joke. It will do well, because of Hype, with Keaton returning and Affleck, but it COULD have done so much better, if the stories are true about it being mostly a comedy. Only time will tell. I don't like the way Gunn attacks the fans either, that's no leader, someone who can unite the people NOT divide them, a bit like western culture these days with "Diversity", the very definition of diversity means difference, to start creating division by differences. Never in my life have I seen such hate towards fellow man, and here was me thinking we had gotten past racism many years ago, but no, the elites thry can NOT have Unity, oh how will those war machines get built, paid for and used? Sad really! 👎🏽
I think Keaton was the best Batman at that time but other actors have been way better since. One thing that turned me off in Batman was the Prince soundtrack. It didn't fit. And Jack Nicholson got top billing in that movie. The back story was wrong, at least Batman's backstory. And Batman has never tried to be a "superhero" like Superman or Wonder Woman. He knows he's a vigilante and he embraces that, which is something that Keaton and Burton never did.
"Sure, we're criminals", you said. "We've always been criminals". "We have to be criminals" -Superman to Batman in Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns.
What do you mean?! Kevin is objectively the best
For me, Keaton is the best Batman, number two is Affleck. I think Nicholson is the best Joker.
KEATON is the number 1 BATMAN✔️
How is a heartless murderer the best batman? Kevin Conroy nailed Bruce Wayne and Batman and the character didn’t look clunky in the suit. Both the version in Batman the animated series and the Arkham games proof that.
Keaton was good but Bale is a better actor and a better Batman And Nicholson's Joker overshadows Keaton's Batman
Better actor sure but not a better batman
Ben Affleck is my personal favorite but I do think Keaton is one of the best
He is Vengeance! He is The Night!! He is Batman!!!🦇🦇🦇
I loved him but Affleck is my favourite.
I think Christian Bale 😊
Didn't even watch it and I already have 2words
KEVIN CONROY!
He's just a voice. Doesn't count.
@@JDoe-gf5oz I'll say it again. Kevin conroy is the best
Period.
Ben Affleck's Batman was the most comic accurate Batman .
Keaton is the best Batman and Pattinson the worst, he's pathetic in the role.
Would have been nice if he would have bothered to get in the gym tho....
Why? He rarely fought.
He can't turn his head though
Your argument or comment about that is invalid, sit down
still kicks ass while he's can't
Kevin will always be the best batman
Kevin Conroy is the best Batman of all time. Michael Keaton is the best live-action Batman. Christian Bale and George Clooney being the worst.
So sorry about how I feel about Christian bales role as batman it sucked
I love the Michael keaton performance for batman because he was more dark dark and I like that and he had more feel to the role more real now I do have that Ben Affleck role to batman I didn't like it or Christian bales role as batman Michael keatons role tops them all
