    The show doesn't have much to say about fandom and nerd culture but it's there to make it hip and cool to like these things and I think it succeeds simply because of it's popularity. But the premise of them being a scientist is what is disappointing. There isn't much math or science going on, they had one episode with a great premise about how physics is going nowhere right now and it's a great topic to explore but they basically ended on a joke.

    It’s nice that there is still someone who is not so blinded by nostalgia that he recognizes that Spider-Man 3 is not some unsung masterpiece. You still went easy on it though. The movie is objectively bad on a fundamental level.

    The reason I don't like the mv is because They care about kong so much. They did not even add a godzilla scene in the entire kong skull Island movies. Also monarch legacy of monsters was sapose to be a godzilla TV show but ended up being trash with only 5 minutes of gman screen time in the entire season all episodes combine. And the worst part kong also shows up.

    • @ZG2008
      @ZG2008 4 дні тому

      I think it’s just because you don’t like Kong, if you do not than sorry, Kong needed to have his character established in his own movie, that’s why Godzilla wasn’t on Skull Island, and Legacy of Monsters isn’t about Godzilla, it’s about the Monarch Organization (is it good as a Monarch show, that’s really up for you to decide) It’s a Monsterverse, Not a Godzillaverse, we just can’t focus on Godzilla (We need Gamera man ._.)

    My favorite thus far is 2019's Godzilla, King of the Monsters. The last movie, Godzilla X Kong, I feel was cartoonish and the weakest of the four flicks. I am not sure why the Marvel movies have done so much better than the DC films. I like Cavill's Superman. But, there's something lacking in those films. Maybe it's the clever writing of Marvel. Maybe it's the very human character interaction, the imperfections of the Marvel characters, vs the very serious, maybe stoic??? presentation of the DC characters. The former is much more interesting.

    i think the show was to entertain and that it did. the laughtracks are insufferable, which were also annoying on Chuck Lorre's 2,5 Men. But was the show entirely horrible? I don't think so. it did give a lot of exposure to a subculture that is not often the main theme for comedies and ofc comedies are and will always have a sort of edgyness to them. characters portrayed always have extreme faults and usually live and die by them. TBBT is no different. You could argue that it did focus too much on the characters social life instead of the work they do with such high IQ. but then again, the show is trying to please the average joe and there are many "deeper" choices other than TBBT if you are not interested in that particular group of individuals fictitious life. it's not the first show to portray nerdism and will not be the last, just get over it

    I think many people were too quick to bash this film and rather than trying to get an understanding about it, they instead joined the band wagon on hating. I also think that it’s because they were expecting it to be like a Marvel film with quips and light hearted jokes, but realistically, it’s not supposed to be. The uniqueness of BvS is honestly why I love it so much and it deserves more credit it deserves than what people are willing to give. The Ultimate Edition is undoubtedly a masterpiece and I’m glad some people are praising it.

    Sinbad has told everyone that this does not exist and he was doing another movie when this once was supposed to be filming. No one recalls the director, costars, plot or movie company, because it didn't happen. Not even a Mandela Effect.

    • @dilgaf
      @dilgaf 16 днів тому

      The costars were 2 kids... The movie was so bad it's understandable no one remembers who directed or produced it. Name something from the 90's not done by Michael Bay or Speilberg.

    The DCEU failed when the studio abandoned it. Had they stayed the course they would have been fine. BvS is a good film, even in the theatrical version. The first 6 films in the DCEU made $4.9 billion. The first 6 MCU films made $3.8 billion and the MCU was fine. WB panicked. Aquaman made $1.1 billion AFTER the Justice League debacle. People were still interested. Even Shazam was good and made a little money. It was the move towards BOP and such that killed the DCEU, not JL, and certainly not BvS.

    1. Godzilla is awesome 2. The people making the monsterverse actually seem to know what Godzilla is instead of just guessing, and they actually seem to like Godzilla. The DCEU barely understands the characters it's working with, and the writers dont even seem to like DC or its characters.

    I'll give you that first one. At least Godzilla made a decision rather than the "let's be different" approach for Man of Steel. I didn't like either movie overall. Godzilla is the better one, but I wouldn't actually rewatch either of them. Though maybe I'd rewatch the first Godzilla movie...by skipping to the last 20 minutes. The Monsterverse tried to be itself. There were ups and downs along the way to doing so, but it felt solid. The DCEU was far too rushed. It wanted to catch up to Marvel and so rushed things like BvS and then rushed to the Justice League, and it was just far too chaotic. And thankfully the Monsterverse adapted better. People didn't like the lack of monsters, they got way more of them going forward. Whether it was KotM, or all the movies with Kong in them, there was far more monster presence mixed into things. They found what worked and stuck with it. DCEU never found what worked and needed a reset. I do think the DCU can work and hopefully will work. But Godzilla's side got it right much faster.

    Weird. Many people in the 60's. Thought the X-Men comics. Particularly the silver age era. Was almost a failure. The X-Men comics at that time. Still feel like a superhero story, as a group of child heroes. Made a year after the Introduction of Spider-Man. By today, I find it as a serious, underrated, yet lighthearted take on the X-Men. The Hulk comics were more mature and serious than the X-Men of the silver age. Unlike X-Men, the Hulk comics lasted only for six issues. It didn't feel like a superhero story. Instead, an influence on horror and science fiction. Later, the Hulk was put on team-up stories to continue the silver age Hulk. It wasn't when Hulk got another incredible hulk comic series. With different artwork that is more detailed. I think that's when is moving away from the campy silver age comic era. Leading in the slow beginning of the bronze age comics era.

    She Hulk, for all its faults, I’m getting tired of everyone complaining about its tone and self-referential humor by “fan” and writers alike who apparently have not actually picked up a She Hulk comic. It’s as wall breaking as Deadpool if not more yet when they do it correctly it’s a problem. Most annoyingly is that if Deadpool had done many of the same things, people would have praised it. Does it seem like sometimes Marvel is trying to shoehorn female characters, this seems to only be compared to how much hatred anything female related in the MCU is instantly hated. How many people dump all over Ms Marvel while she’s been a breath of fresh air and one of the best things about the new MCU.

It was a good race but not even Rocky and Rambo can beat Conan the Barbarian, The Terminator, and Predator. At least not in my book. Sly is awesome though. Nobody but him could've put up as good a fight as he did. Demolition Man is still a favorite.
