Petrol stations are often left abandoned for many years before the land can be redeveloped. The petrol storage tanks are underground and must be removed, and the land decontaminated, which can take many years. The tanks are pumped dry, but sometimes the petrol residue seeps into the surrounding area, including underground streams and soil. This is the reason that properties like the one in this video are seemingly abandoned. Great video, well done 👏 👍
