Is this the abandoned building in Chatswood where Warhammer used to be? If so I was wondering if anyone was going to do a video on it as it is heavily graffied on the outside balconies on one side now and the side entrance is also wired up but I think people have been breaking into it through a small opening . There are srcurity camera signs around the nuilding.

This is indeed an interesting house which has had "ad ons" over the years. The front verandah is a good example of converting it into a "sunroom," which was quite popular with many people back in the day, however, this conversion is quite ugly to me and takes away the character of the house. The detached brick building looks like a bathroom and laundry as there was no indoor plumbing at some stage, and I think I caught a glimpse of an ensuite off a bedroom that would have been added during a renovation. You are correct about the fireplace, which was common in many homes, especially as it was the only form of indoor heating at the time. Some homes had a fireplace in the master bedroom as well as the living room or "lounge" room as it was known until the advent of television in 1956 when the American influence gradually introduced "living room" to Australia. What we now refer to as a "couch" was originally known as a "lounge chair," which explains the origins of the lounge room. Great video, well done 👏 👍

I really enjoyed this video with no background music and only your footsteps and traffic noise being heard. I also liked the short "overlay" with a picture of what the facility was like with flowering gardens. For this type of exploring video, I think the absence of music adds to the mystery and suspense ,especially when footsteps on gravel are virtually the only sounds until the traffic is heard as you walk through the abandoned facility towards the busy road. Excellent video. Well done 👏 👍
