► WHO AM I?
I am a Brazilian-American journalist living in Florida. After traveling the world working with sports, news, and events for over 15 years, I realized that what I really love is the travel part of it all. So I exchanged life in the newsrooms and stadiums for the daily challenge of being an independent content producer. I created this channel to share the beauties of the world... stuff that, for so long, I only kept to myself. Also to help people planning similar trips and to inspire more people to venture out and enjoy life!
P.S.: The funny guy who appears in the vlogs is my husband, Gordon. He is Canadian-American, and he's actually camera-shy. That's why he's behind the camera most of the time 😉

Did you know much about Adelaide? All videos in Australia will be in this playlist: ua-cam.com/video/2k--1eubJb4/v-deo.html - have fun!
Renata:Congratulations to you guys to heads Adelaide,Australia this weekend in great joy & peace after you guys spends weeks in Melbournes,Australia shooting great video in 2023❤❤❤
Thank you for this video. I visited Adelaide when I was 15 yrs old, stayed almost 3 months for surgeries. It was the place that opened my minds, how big, and beautiful the world is. I then pursued my education in the States, and have lived here for 25 years. My dream is to go back to Adelaide one day, I'd love to meet some of the nurses that took care of me, they were some of the nicest people I ever met in my life. So, thank you for this great video.
Thank you for sharing. I wish you get that chance to return and reconnect with some of you care givers.
So sorry that your reply has nothing to do with homelessness you know people living on streets, mother's from abusive relationship let's look at what Adelaide looks like on the outside and put aside the people struggling in our street and worry about 2pigs in Rundle mall and the 2 balls that our state cares more about that the people who are struggling.
@DiLee-xr1yc Sorry that you are going through that. All states have the same problem. I worked as a volunteer with homeless people for 3 years. Unfortunately, some are their own worst enemy. A lot of them rejected accommodation when offered and so on. Just in case you don't know, there are Charities that are paid by the State and Federal Government to help the homeless, and they get paid a lot to do so. So you need to go to the Charities to help you etc. The Adelaide Council might have a list.
I’m a local and proud to see this video. One of the statues you showed was a woman called Mary Lee (the one in the bonnet). South Australia was the second place in the world to give women the right to vote (New Zealand was the first) and she was a part of that movement.
Wasn't it the UK?
Thank you for sharing the information
@@joelc9439 uk women got the vote in 1928. In SA it was 1894.

First in the world to elect a woman into parliament.
Adelaide looks peaceful and clean for people looking for a relaxing life. The weather looked good too. And you deserved that random pink rose!
It really is! Calma city with dry weather...it felt very much like California. So under rated...but probably best kept that way. Thanks for watching.
Adelaide is one of the top ten places in the world..
The weather in Adelaide is cool in winter and very hot in summer, and we have some of the best beaches in Australia!!
Yeah, I live in Adelaide and I can confirm that it’s very peaceful, especially in the morning.
peaceful? relaxing? what dream world do you live in?
I'm glad you enjoyed Adelaide. I moved here from Sydney over 30 years ago and although I still call Sydney home I love Adelaide. There is so much to do and see without having to travel great distances. From the centre of Adelaide 45min drive north you are in Australia's biggest and best wine districts. To the east 25 minutes drive your at the beach. And to the east into the hills you have so many sights and tourist towns to visit. Adelaide has it all.
Thank you very much. I suspect the charms won't be hidden for much longer. We have more Adelaide coming up. Love the Barossa region! Feels very much like California my former home. 👍😀
I'm from Adelaide. Thank you for this great video you did an excellent job in showcasing the city centre.
Very cool...thank you I really appreciate that. More Adelaide coming up. Keep the charm!!!! 👍😀
I've lived in Adelaide all my life and every time i travel to amazing places in their own right I'm reminded how great my home town is. I even learned a couple of things from your video so thanks for that 😊
That's awesome! Thank you for watching. Your city is really under rated.
I am an Adelaide local and thoroughly loved your video, it's both fascinating and wonderful seeing through the eyes of tourist. So glad you enjoyed our wonderful city. Please come back and visit :)
Many thanks! I'm always happy to hear from locals. You have a great city and we will be back!
As an Asian and a gay person, I visited Adelaide for 1 week last year, exploring the culture and dating scene. I felt like people were mostly keeping to themselves. When I first entered a train, I didn't know how to make a payment for and validate a ticket. I was obviously confused, and nobody really cared til I asked someone for an instruction. He reluctantly helped and ignored me afterwards. Admittedly, I failed in securing a date or relationship. I like your profile picture. Would you be interested in getting to know me? 😅😅😅
Going to Adelaide in January for school for a few months. Can’t wait!!
Very cool. Hope you saw our other Adelaide video...and we have one coming out this weekend. Good luck with your studies
Always such a pleasure to go on a trip with you. Every experience is always different and I am always happy after the journey. : )

My great great grandfather came to South Australia as a free settler in 1836 and he part owned the ship The Africaine. As a librarian I’m happy you visited the beautiful State Library 📚
What a cool story. so interesting, he must have traveled to a few places and choose S Australia to settle. Did he see figurative gold?
Amazing video, thanks for making this ☺️

Im from Adelaide and I got to participate In a Theatre Festival, it’d normally be in Newcastle NSW but because of Covid in 2021, we stayed in Adelaide and recorded our piece in Victoria square!
Grande video Renata, muchos thanks: V
I hear a lot of good things about Adelaide. I think it's definitely worth a visit.
Totally agree. More Adelaide videos coming up.
Come in the warmer months though David as winter is a bit limiting. You can do Adelaide in two days so I'd venture over to kangaroo island or up to the Flinders or the wine regions if you're into wine.

You have a gem of city/state while the others get all the attention. I know we will be back.
Adelaide looks great, especially all of the parks around the centre. Feels like a very liveable city and great that it also has a free tramway like Melbourne. Very informative video, thank you!
You are most welcome. Yes, very livable and under rated.
Adelaide was no 3 at 2021 (no 1 in Australia) most liveable city in the world behind Auckland and Osaka. It is currently at 12, share with Perth, another great city in Western Australia.
The tram is only free in the CBD.
Calma is absolutely corrected! Regards from Brazil.😂❤
Awesome video Renata 😊👍👍
Thank you 😁
I need to go back to Adelaide so many good memories many years ago.i loved watching the cricket and Glenelg was amazing.i will be back there soon i hope.

You two are so much fun
Thank you very much we appreciate.
Thank you so much miss for showing to us this beautiful city l love it so much and your so gorgeous miss☺️
My pleasure 😊 Thank you very much!
From my own experience, people in Adelaide are reserved and not that friendly to others. I remember saying "Thank you. Have a good day!" to 2 women, one didn't care to respond, the other stared at me like I was dumb. It's hard to start a conversation while you're walking the streets.
To many germanics
Come to Perth most of us are Friendly, close to Bali, Malaysia, Thailand and Indla
I love this city. I find peaceful and happy life here.

Thanks for the great video you did a fantastic job the way you showed Adelaide off. Did you know that South Australia was so much bigger it took up all the Northern Territories so South Australia was from the bottom of Australia all the way to the top of Australia which is a funny name to call a state that is at the top of Australia. (oh I forgot to ask is he always hungry?)
Thank you very much. wow, that would have been a very big state...and hard to cross protect.
Regarding always hungry...well we are out all day filming, capturing lots of images, so time slips by and before you know we...we have not taken the chance to eat. so yes, Gordon is a voracious eater when working.
@@RenataPereiraTV it must be great coming across so many wonderful smells of beautiful food. Next time that you're back in Melbourne make sure you see the sporting area of Melbourne it is unbelievable from The Tennis Centre home of The Australian Open to The Melbourne Cricket Ground (The MCG) the home of The 1956 Olympics

Hello, thank you for watching.
@@RenataPereiraTV my friend thank you for responding to my comments.
Adelaide wasn't called 'The City of Churches' because it had so many, but rather because it was the capital city of the colony which guaranteed freedom of religious practice (principally the Lutherans from parts of Germany)
Thank you for sharing the information.

Algumas dicas pra vc melhorar ainda mais o seu inglês:
-Quando vc falar A LITTLE OVER imagine que tem um L na frente do OVER, então a pronúncia é A LITTLE LOVER (a lêralôuvar), o mesmo vale pra A LITTLE EARLY= A LITTLE LEARLY (a lêralârli)
-KNOWN tem o ditongo ÔU, então a pronúncia é NÔUN, não NÓN;
-INSIDE começa com o som ÊN, não com ĨN, então a pronúncia é ÊNSAID, não ĨNSAID.

You did your homework.
You mentioned that it had freedom of religion.
Nearly everyone in Australia are unaware that this is the reason it's called the city of churches. Not for the fact for its generally pretty ordinary religious buildings.
I live in Adelaide, i have travelled around the world but i have to say Adelaide is one of the best cities in the world to live!!

One of my friends has moved to Adelaide from Sydney. I think I can see now why she did.
It may not have the recognition but it sure is a very comfortable city. We enjoyed it very much and almost overlooked it. And we missed so we will have to return. Would you consider moving there? Have you visited?
I suspect as the other Australian cities get bigger Adelaide will start looking more and more attractive.
Actually the heritage buildings have got more to so with the fact SA was (and still is compared to other states) rather poor and a lot of these buildings sat empty and run down for years and years. When adelaide did start to develop 30 years ago the city council imposed very harsh restrictions on developers to restore facades and preserve as much as they could
Thank you for sharing. Would you say the preservation benefits the city?
I do love to see the history, gives it a lot of charm.
@@RenataPereiraTV absolutely, as a former South Australian resident in very very proud of everything adelaide does today haha. Absolutely beautiful but importantly LIVEABLE city! The protection attitude South Australians have for the buildings also extends to the parklands - touching those would mean loosing an election.
@@RenataPereiraTV there also some fantastic developments with the old and new blended together, so it’s proof that we don’t have to destroy these beautiful things AND we can get something new for the city.
You say Adelaide with a perfect Australian accent, I thought someone else was saying it during the voiceover lol
HAHA, thank you!
