No x pipe ? Put an x pipe in , now it's sounding like just two inline 6s if you dont merge the banks it won't get the V12 howling . love the build keep it up dude
@@5905-k8vIf you truly want to sound like a V8 or larger in size, then you must do this. Delete every part in your exhaust, including or excluding the catalytic converters. That’s really the only thing that I could think of, other than using super series Flowmasters, which would probably be way too quiet. Needs cylinder mixing between banks. Like tones are the same frequency and cancel each other out or at least deaden the volume of them. X pipe will make those low tones cancel each other out and leave the higher frequencies you’re after. Added to the x pipe, Equal length headers (with the right collector design) will be even more effective using the same concept.

Once you have the X pipe and headers done, the sound may benefit further from the top of the engine being opened up a bit, maybe ITBs in the future? It would be a lot of work but would sound wild.
The mid-section of your exhaust that hangs below the diff can be made into a Cross/X-piped section relatively easily. As for the somewhat monotonous tone, equal length headers can help with that.
Sounds Really Good!! Equal length headers and a x-pipe would definitely give it a better all around sound quality!!! But it’s sounds AWESOME!!! Especially open and up in the RPM’s
I was a 2nd owner of a '73 240Z that comes stock with 3 into 2 into 1 exhaust but, the original owner split it and ran 3 into 2 all the way to the rear. The car had a flat spot between 4500-6000 and I had learned from a Z-car specialized shop that the motor actually needs that 2 into 1 section because it helps draw the exhaust out from the engine. So I had a shop redo the collector where it went from 2 to 1 and ran 2 1/2 from there back removing the resonator under the driver seat and just running a turbo muffler at the rear. I immediately noticed the flat spot gone. It sounded like a small block at low RPM's and half a V-12 near redline. I bet they have the 2 into 1 for the same reason to help each 6 cylinder bank to pull the exhaust out.
Install two Magnaflow integrated X pipe mufflers back to back in the middle. The smaller cased 4x9 ones so it doesn't get TOO quiet. Then do equal-length headers. Shorties are okay and 6-2-1 are okay as long as everything's equal length. Oh, and make sure the collectors are the smooth merge style with the little spike in the middle, not the flat baffled/dump style. A good 15-degree (combined/total) angle merge should be a decent balance between flow and compactness.

It may sound way better in person than in video but regardless it would sound better with either option. IMO

I'm welding stainless professionally in the food industry for about 20 years. If I can give your fabricator only one advice, it would be to get a cone (2" diameter small end to let's say 4.5" at the big end, about 4" tall) machined out of steel and get it heat treated. It won't be super cheap but it would allow im to put any tubing size from 2" to 4" and expand it's diameter with a shop press. For example, A 4" long piece of tubing could be inserted on the small end of the cone in a shop press, and "pushed" until in reaches the needed diameter, than it could be trimmed as short as you need it! You can easily bring a 2.5" dia. tube to 3" dia. with this tool. This would almost eliminate his need to buy reducers in the future! I've done several experiments and you can expand sanitary tubing (1/16" thick wall) to almost 1" bigger before it start to fail. 1 mm thick exhaust tubing should be able to withstand the stress too!
i'm stoked on how much nicer it sound with the muffler even with the valve opened i tought that with the open valve it will sound like straight piped, i was wrong

To get a true supercar sound, you'll need to do headers first and foremost. If you went with an equal length tubular long tube manifold with a 6-into-1 collector on each side you would have a true supercar V12 sound. Combine those with an x-pipe and your current exhaust and it'll sound amazing.
I believe that is our plan down the road! Right now we’ll get an X/H pipe in there to clean it up and get the tips aligned perfectly, might opt for just polished tips as well in the future. Main thing for now is getting what I already have sounding good before the show next weekend!
Watch David Visards [99% of equal length headers are wrong] video before building your headers. Maisteer also has a good video titled [Why this V12 sound better than a $15M Pagani] that should help.
Doing duals like this without a crossover pipe will make it sound weird. If there’s room in the engine bay then get a set of 180* headers fabbed up to go with your new exhaust. It will make it sound like a proper V12 then.
I'd personally add 2 more mufflers. The straight pipe just doesn't sound good. With just two mufflers sounds great without being too loud. Adding the other two would allow you to switch to a luxurious ride when all 4 mufflers are engaged.
I know i mentioned it in a different comment, but a Resonated X-Pipe would be perfect (better than a regular X-Pipe + Resonator combo), both Magnaflow and Borla make them.
I think it's too many BZZZ sound with the closed valves (with the mufflers "enabled"), so if it would be my car I would think about adding "something" (resonator?) to cut high-frequency sounds, as the next improvement 🤔
looks good and sounds good.. but it looks like the tips aren't aligned with each other. Like the Passenger side tips looks like its pointing slightly upwards.
It looks amazing and I'm sure it sounds way better in person. But through my airpods it sounds like my old v6 2nd gen tacoma when it was straight piped
The car sounds like you swapped a VQ into it! 😅 you may want to add a resonator in there somewhere along with the x pipe too. And I know I keep kicking you in the nuts every time I comment but man, you should have kept the car two tone.. the thing just looks like a massive blob of black. The pewter lower would have broken up the silhouette a little bit. Plus it would better show how low the car is.
The world needs more people like cricket so the more of the world would be true duals. People need to catch up already. Thanks again cricket one more car saved.

Yes, we just finished it up for Collete. It’s a rowdy looking build
I'm also going to make a full exhaust on my Century, please tell me what kind of wheels you have?
I know i mentioned it in a different comment, but a Resonated X-Pipe would be perfect (better than a regular X-Pipe + Resonator combo), both Magnaflow and Borla make them.
Headers! You should look into equal length headers so you get that trumpet sound! I'd subscribe for that lol
1 word (WINNING!) bless up!!
I think it's too many BZZZ sound with the closed valves (with the mufflers "enabled"), so if it would be my car I would think about adding "something" (resonator?) to cut high-frequency sounds, as the next improvement 🤔
Would of put some resonators, wouldn't reduce backflow, and will quite down drone.
Yeah sounds like two 6s tbh, with and X pipe you could make that V12 sing like they're suppose to! :D
looks good and sounds good.. but it looks like the tips aren't aligned with each other.
Well done Michael lol looks and sounds good now ✌🏼
cats off sound was heavenly. I would have just put some pipes going back from there...
Great shots as usual Mike. Thank God for cricket knowing he had to make this car special though.
The car was made to be as quiet as possible 5 mufflers is insane
Air intake or custom airbox would be cool to hear?
Valves closed fits the car better, but hey you have a button XD and yes the OPEN sounds wicked!
