Hi s m, there are many study books one could use for bow technique exercises. One of them is Sevcik Bowing Technique where you can practice all the possible bow strokes with the same tune. Happy practising!

hey Joy! I have a question: do you recommend the suzuki method for someone like me who has a classical background (piano for 10+ years) trying to learn violin? My violin teacher wants to start me on the suzuki book but I'm not sure. What are your suggestions?

Hi Jessica, the best way to find out the perfect method for you would be trying all the possible methods. If your teacher prefers Suzuki method, you might ask politely whether you could bring additional music (of other methods) to the lessons. Happy violin learning!!
