In this video, we look at group 0, which are also called the noble gases. First we look at the electronic structure of group 0 elements and use this to explain why the group 0 elements are generally unreactive. We then look at how the boiling points of the group 0 elements vary going down the group.

Tbh I don’t do any A-Level sciences, i just wanted to see how this guys doing. His back must hurt from carrying all of our GCSE Sciences.

No they're essentially the same just with better sound. You can use whichever you prefer.

hey, i was just wondering if you have any tips for dealing with exam stress? i do triple science gcse and i do really well in class but i can't even pass my mocks i'm in yr 11 and i'm aiming for 9s so anything would help. thank you, your vids are amazing!
Hi and thanks for the comment. Yes, the most effective way to deal with exam stress is to prepare. So I'd suggest taking a small topic and watching all of the videos at least once (especially the ones that you find tricky) and then do that for all the topics. Do it when you don't have any tests to prepare for so you don't feel pressurised. That will help.

Hi sir, thanks for the vid. I was just wondering if we would need to explain why boiling point decreases as relative atomic mass does.
The AQA spec does not require students to explain this. It's because the intermolecular forces are stronger as the relative atomic mass increases.
