Hi Dan, I must say that your video on the wood rack was just what I needed...excellent job! The good news is that I adopted your idea and am making similar racks for my firewood, to handle with my new bx2380 i got last year! The bad news is I didn't see your video until I had about 25 chords cut and split. I am retired and do it for exercise, all for my own use and free wood from different places. Lots of free firewood out there if you look for it! So I am trying to move all the wood from piles on the ground to the rack system. I use free pallets i get from the area, free slabwood from a friend who has a sawmill for the framing and free plastic from a ski area in the area that used the plastic as a liner for an ice skating rink in their parking lot over the winter! Only expense is for nails and screws to fasten everything together. It only takes me about 6 min to make a rack once the parts are ready. I use a nail gun for building the racks and tie the racks together once in position for storage with slabs along the sides of the racks, hooking them all together, so they cant fall over during the winter due to ground frost, uneven ground, etc. the volume of wood in the racks is approx 18" x 40" x 5ft, which is approx 2 tenths of a chord. So far I'm about 2/3 done, with about 90 racks. Just wish I had seen your video earlier...but in the future, the rack system is the way to go! Thanks again...your right, thats about all the tractor will handle with rear forks...does not do well with front forks, too heavy, unless you have light wood, or maybe when it is really dry. Also, as you said, have to be careful of tipping over....I keep my hand of the controls and if the tractor starts to tip, i lower the forks to the ground asap! Sorry this is so wordy, I could write alot more...but will try to keep it short. Thanks Again!
Cool 3 point wood rack Dan. Great expansion for 3 point utilization and additional valve too. Wood storage is always space challenging, super method you came up with!
A company called (Titan attachments)off the internet just do a search engine for pallet Forks Titan. I think they're about $350 now and free shipping to your home hope this helps thank you
PS. I love your wheel weights.. what tractor did you say you got those from again? i have roughly 200lbs in suitcase weights on the back of my tractor but would still like wheel weights on the rear as i cranked up my loader relif to 2000psi. Also love your wood setup/pallet forks.. great idea!....You should think about making a rear panel for the back so you can tip it back with out worry that the wood will slide back off onto your tractor.
@@BiffsEquipment excellent suggestion for some safety precautions so the wood don't fall onto my back. But if it wasn't dangerous it wouldn't be fun. About the wheel weights I have them featured in one of my other video. Your assignment is to hunt down that video and watch it if you still can't find it I can tell you. Thanks for your support it's awesome
Dan Pinkner I already watched that video months ago where you installed them haha.. just can’t remember what tractor you said you took them off of. And no problem man, a backer wouldn’t be hard to make either and then you can just throw the wood on your back hitch Willy nilly with out having to worry about it falling off the backside. I really like your craftsmanship tho and your right if it wasn’t at least a little dangerous then it wouldn’t be fun haha
