what I love about these French people is that they don't celebrate outrageously, they did their job brilliantly...there's something special about this team, my favorite team...the worst is that England was trampled yesterday by the FRA U20 team by 42 - 7.......I look for the light.
As a frenchman I'm really proud of their sportsmanship here, Galthié wrote a 'code d'honneur' for our XV which states that the players must stay humble, proud but never arrogant...

This. Genuine respect and decency. The exact opposite of what soccer can deliver- those boos. I mean I generally don't care about team sports- more into blades and martial arts- but Rugby, especially these recent years, is something else. No melee finishing into a pugilat when you're loosing hard or that kind of things.
I'm from the very, very, SW part of France, so I guess I'm super biased on the matter, but still I love this attitude. Galtier's tears during the interview really got me. Plus I can share something with my dad, not a common thing unfortunately.

Can’t deny I was/am gutted for England but I can now say that the French were just magnificent absolutely flamboyant and that virtually everywhere. The scoreline can tell a story but really the French were relentless. A not begrudging congratulations……

We have the team for it, and we play on our home soil so I would not say it's now or never but it's close to that! Big chances for a France vs. Ireland finale at the World cup this year but things are going fast in rugby, eventough French team is still very young and even younger promising players are knocking on the door of the A-team.
Southern hemisphere will not just hand it over like that it will be a hard fight for the Web Ellis
As an AllBlack fan I hope the RWC is a repeat of 2015 with the semi finals an all SH affair. It will then be easy to get tickets for the final like it was in England.

As a Frenchman i am proud of our guys but i also want to pay my respects to the England team. Rugby needs a great England team to be rugby. The road to recovery will be long and painfull, France has been there a few years back, but you will do it and we will see more balanced and epic games between us two.

Can't blame the english team, France was in the same situation years ago and for a long time. England was on top level RWC2019, I still can't believe they didn't win the final against SA... All they had to do was to play their game, and not trying to beat SA on their own game... And now here is England. We know what England is going through, as french rugby fans. I remember thinking when England lost the WC final in 2019, what a huge, huge, huge chance had just been blown and I remember vividly thinking that that was it. And it has been. We had genuinely reached our peak in the NZ game. Ever since then, it has been a slow decline. Followed by a battering today and probably next week too. Oof. Tough to be a fan of England atm.

It could take a certain time for England to get through this, but you have what it takes : skills, players, talent. As a frenchman, i would like to comfort the english fans. It happens and things can change very fast. For instance, in 1999, France lost 7-54 vs All Blacks and a few months later we won vs them in...Twickenham during the WC. Don't blame Borthwick. He needs time. As far as i'm concerned, the responsable of this disaster is Eddie Jones. I am happy but France is not the best one and England is not the worst one. Trust made the difference.
The best part of the end game was the respect ✊ they had for each other...

We french were rock bottom 5 years ago, so we had to reprocess our pro teams organization to protect our young nationals, and have more time for the national team all along the year. Those were 2 major factors of our come back. Hope english rugby will find it's own 's. 6 Nations without a great england is definitely less tasty, especially for us!

Ireland definitely have the capacity to tear England a new one next weekend. It's how England come back from this that will really be the all-important takeaway. If they turn in another insipid performance like yesterday's then a root and branch shakedown of the group mentality is definitely required. I fully expect Ireland to win. It'll be the manner of England's resistance (or lack of it) that will really be under the microscope.

I was there & Bill Beaumount said that Englands Backrow & centres were poor all game & a lack of leadership at 10. Smith had a great game last week against a poor Exeter. The step up to International level was not endorsed. #The game plan fell apart & Smith played more at 15 retrieving & getting hammered. Never have I heard such a raucous noise from French fans overseas especially Twickenham. The security will have a problem clearing them tonight!

wow that's is a dominant performance that to me, tells me that France being on home soil at the 2023 RWC have a real chance of taking it out. The All Blacks have a real battle on their hands and atm will have to jack their ideas up and a lot of work to do. Think we're going to be the real underdogs against the French for sure, this time, When we meet in pool play.
The All Blacks only had a half game performance against England last time, blowing a big 1st half lead, ending in a draw. Hope, they have their eyes wide open and remind themselves, it was the French that took us out of the RWC before, and ended our run, for glory.

It was a great day, we had a wonderful game with so much trials and 2 beautiful teams. I think that people in the stadium have had value for money. One of the best Rugby match ever between our two teams. Gentlemen, I think that we will have a fantastic world cup this year...

The English national team is a representation of the premiership and if you are objective you can see that the standard has fallen over the last few years, as an Englishman it isn't a lot of fun watching the national team unable to execute core skills at speed . The only solace I take is that there can be no doubt now that we are way off so if you know there is a problem then you can at least attempt to do something about it. The one other thing to take from the game is that if France play like that at the world cup then it will take something special to beat them whether that's Ireland, SA or NZ .

Oui les Français ont bien joué mais surtout les Anglais n'ont produit presque aucune construction d'attaque intéressante. Ils me faisaient de la peine vers la fin. On les voyait découragés, on avait l'impression que certains joueurs avaient baissé les bras.

Decisions can go against a team at times in a game , how you react is a sign of how strong a team is. Today France played brilliantly against an average England team.
