You literally helped me save my photoshoot with these tips. Beyond helpful and simplistic. I’m sharing this with my photography groups and checking out the SLR group!
I have always been intimidated by flash. I spent years as a videographer using constant light and never thought I could get my head around the flash. For the first time ever I understand it and went out and used it successfully. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Finally...an off camera flash tutorial on UA-cam that is actually useful!🏆 Your CAMP framework is so comprehensive. Thanks Pye!🙏🏼 You're videos and teaching style is awesome!👍🏼👍🏼
Watched tens of videos about flashes and studio lighting, this one was by far the best. Everything was explained in a simple way. Helped me understand the logic behind!
I learned so much from this video and honestly this is hard to find. I applied this knowledge to a photoshoot and I'm so glad I did. The customer was very happy. This opened up a whole new world. Thank you so much. You just got a new sub.👍
Wow! I’ve been trying to figure out Off Flash for the last week…. I watch this video and have a great understanding literally in 10 mins lol! Awesome! Thanx!
I absolutely love your photography channel! I have been doing photography, not profess yet😀 for many, many years. I struggle with light… I have Nikon DSLR ‘s , etc. D3400, D500, and the D7000… Thank you so much and I’m going to keep learning from your helpful videos, God willing. I am 63, but thanks God, still moving like I did as a teen… I am looking for classes with substance like yours with an online College (with Senior discounts) and an in person lab.
Thank you so much for this! This is the first video I’ve watched on UA-cam on flash that doesn’t assume you already know how to use an off camera flash! You’ve made it super simple and easy to follow. Thanks again!!!!
Dear friend Pye Jirsa. Thank you for this. I’m saved by your tutorial and I love the fact that the first and most important thing to focus on is always the composition.
Dude ur teaching methods r so crazy simple! To bad I don’t leave nearby u I’d like to have u as my teacher ! I use it tips on my session each time I watch one of ur tutorials
Highly Recommended Master for anyone who is in any stage of Photography. Your Post Processing is also Magnificent. I usually use other brands but, the quality of Profoto is amazing actually 💐
Pye is literally teaching every Photography mechanics into simple and easy to follow ways. I've seen a lot of videos trying to teach, including those others from Adorama, but Pye simply teaches things in a professional manner that is way above the others.
Great video, one thing I like to do is make sure the flash is on the opposite side of the sun, so if the sun is top right to the model, have the flash in front on the left. Otherwise, the model tends to look cut out. In this case I think Pye has the sun right behind or the tree is blocking so it's a non issue.
Good rule of thumb, it can tend to get a little repetitive if you always default to that approach tho. But yes, it's a great recipe for a consistent result!
Hi Pye . . . . LOVE all of your videos! I've spent a FRUSTRATING year and a half trying to get my wireless flash trigger to work off camera with my flash (Neewer) only to find out today that what I bought was NOT compatible with my Sony a6500 after being assured it was compatible prior to buying it. Can you recommend something that will work well for my camera? I don't want to waste any more money.

This is a great approach. Pye what is your stance on light meters do you use them? Do you recommend using them?
don't think anyone uses light meters anymore. Taking testshots is quicker and easier.
@@sulev111 Yeah, you really only need them if you're worried about wasting film.
Excellent! Thanks for simplifying things and making it so easy. Really appreciate your work.
