Lovely build and overview! Looking forward to seeing what you do with it 🙌
Thank you!
just gotta say I watch all the major tech tubers but this channel is the one I look forward to most. Awesome content and humor. Awesome work man.
Trully exciting to see Intel in the game now!! Good on yah Nick!!
Thanks mate!
I actually just did this myself a days ago. I picked up the A770 mostly out of curiosity for my secondary system and wound up moving it to my main (13900K). It's actually pretty impressive (when it works). I'm still running into my fair share of serious driver bugs (lots of random crashes) so I'm not entirely sure I'll keep it but it does show some promise and XeSS is quite impressive for a 1st attempt. I did also try it with Linux (Manjaro & Fedora) and it isn't really functional yet but I expect reasonably good performance once Mesa gets updated with support for ARC. DXVK on Windows massively improves performance in older directX titles which could be an interesting content piece for you to explore.
Same here, but with a 12700K/Z690 just for the wanting to have a full Intel system. My various AM4 setups are still my favs, but this is sweet as hell rig.
Yeah I hope intel keeps at it with the graphics card. I won't buy them yet till more of the drivers updates issues fix but seems like a worth while invest within a year.
How it holds it now? Any improvment with stability after drivers updates?
@@6krislas6 Somewhat. I tested it recently on the most recent driver update and game performance & stability was definitely improved. I still ran into my fair share of game freezes and black screens, though. In particular, both the onboard and A770 still have a black screen every time I switch back on my KVM (which does have EDID emulation and works fine with other computers) and requires re-seating the cable to re-drive the display. I still have it but am no longer using it daily and swapped back to my old card. I'm holding off on playing with it again until the most recent linux kernel is fully supported and then I want to try it out with my favorite Linux distros.
Great content as usual. Very thorough, amazing cinematic and editing, and easy to understand. Cheers!
No scope kill. Love it!!
Incredible build and ingame review! ARC looks gorgeous so I want to buy it 👍
This is the video I've been waiting for without knowing I've been waiting for it. Great content.
banger of a video fams, the Intel card looks like an absolute banger. Keep up the hard work
Nice build 👍👍
Very cool video!!! I didn't realize this card was this good. Very good price to performance
Pretty build dude, I might have to copy your parts list, very nice
I'm really liking your content and honesty. I've been watching your videos more and more. And i was SHOCKED! To see your sub count isn't event 500K. I hope your channel grows as it deserves to be. Keep more of these honest and great content.
Thank you!
You've got a Time Machine!? That's awesome.
Just picked up mine last week, planning SFF all intel build also :)
Just like that almost 200k subscribers
Actually not bad. Surprising.
To be honest I was thinking about picking it up but I'm gonna give the drivers some time to mature great video guys
Newegg finally has them in stock in the US as of November 23, 2022. Finally ordered one (after having my previous 2 attempts to get one fail) I cannot wait to start playing with the Hardware AV1 encoding.
Planning on investing in a intel arc GPU thanks for the video gear appreciate 👍🏿
I'm glad that there is more GPUs in the market especially if you're running 1080p resolution. But unfortunately for me, I need more POWER to run ultrawide. Great video as usual Gear Seekers!! 🤙
200k subs incoming let's gooo
For now, I have enough spare components from replacing things over the last two years, I was thinking of building out a side computer for the A770, so as Intel smooths out their drivers, I can grow with the card. For the price, it couldn't hurt since I already have the hardware (AMD system without an IGPU), my only expense is the A770
Great job on showing realistic performance for this GPU. Question, what fps monitoring overlay is being used here?
Built into the game
Very cool. :)
Nice video and also, nice Audi RS3 😀.
Thanks!
im doing the same! time to update the editor, still on gtx770 and 3930k. its time. i choose the a770 because i believe it will get better with time.
That face is the stuff of nightmares.
Really interested in picking up either an A750 or A770 at some point, but with RDNA3 on the horizon I'll probably hold off for a bit. I feel like the ARC cards won't run out of stock anytime soon.
I really wIsh I was in a position to buy one of these. I think it would be really great for a new PC especially one that is going to be doing multimedia or creative stuff. But it is on par or slightly below my RTX3060ti so other than supporting a 3rd manufacturer, no reason to switch from what I already have.
I did not hear it mentioned, but it's worth noting how quiet it is when you were playing:)
It is nice to see someone actually talking about this card. It was basically abandoned by the UA-cam news cycle the day after release. I saw a 770 on the shelf at a local Microcenter. While I cant say that I would buy one for $349, I would definitely entertain buying one at a deep discount
@Gear Seekers:
Great background music!
Great video!
#Intel #ArcRocks
Definitely interested in how 1440p low settings run!
Thanks for the review! - Well, they have not made desktop GPUs. But they are the biggest GPU manufacturer. Can't wait to own a 770! Used to have an AGP 740
Love the Audi! 😎
I’ve been thinking about doing this myself. Right now all the cards I can find are going for $125 over msrp. I can’t decide if I want to do that or just drop $800 on a 3090 when I come across them.
Nick! What's the name of the track @ 11:24? When you get a chance, maybe review the Asrock A770?
Arc loves our 5800X3D and the issues seem universal to both Ryzen and Core. Intel really did a bang up job making sure their drivers played nice with both teams.
That's a super clean build fams. A770 is a nice size too, compared with the most recent steroid dosing chonks that are 4090s. Performance is very good for the price too. Keen to see more from Intel in the future.
Does intel have Game DVR software like in Shadowplay? Would love to see recording impact on games or the replay impacts if it has it. The software side is interesting to look at.
Yes they do have it. Don't know about impact though, no one spoke of it.
yes!!!
Kindly requesting a follow up video (can be just a short and such) for Linux performance on the A770 (If it's at all possible, not sure if any Kernel and driver combo already exists for the card) since I don't think I have seen anyone try. That is, I know there's some *Linux channels* that have tested it but they get too preachy about Linux for my taste.
Yeah it's coming soon. Got lots of launches over the next week or so but I do have Linux stuff planned
I'd be really keen to see how this card performs in Linux, since Wine translates all DX calls (including 11 and under, which Arc seems to struggle with) to Vulcan, which should be right up this card's alley
It's coming!
Same!
@@GearSeekers nice
This is a good card for SFF builds
Let's go!
Audi RS3 wagon? 👀 you truly are a gear seeker 🔥
nice music Nick 🙂
What about 1080p native performance?
LOL straight sniped in the parking lot after he paid for the card. =p
Snipers are everywhere
Aesthetically I really like the look of the arc cards. Not a huge fan of these gamerfied aib gpu's. It's up their with the founders edition gpu's.
Shame the f.e models haven't been sold in Australia for such a long time, yet nvida still release a msrp for them lol.
its a legitimately good card, it just has some software bugs that need to be hammered out. I am excited for the future of Intel GPUs
could be test both red dead redemption 2 DX12 from low to ultra 1080p and 1440p and Cyberpunk 2077 the same please 🙏 it's something I want to know if you're so kind
Love you guys, Hi Klaire ❤
After the april update drivers the performance is better you should review it
It's really not that much better mate.
Now we only have to find out who are the other 9 people who bought Intel GPUs.
Any chance of a linux benchmark with the a770
Coming soon. We've got a bunch of launches coming up for the next few weeks but it's coming :)
> 120 FOV kind of guy...
I feel this.
Facts lol. It does impact the frame rate quite a bit in games but thats how I play.
Will it run crysis?
Cant be ''fully'' Intel since they only make CPU's, GPU's and storage. There is still several components missing from a full Intel build but its close. 🙂
Calm down
@@GearSeekers Ok im calming down. You need to slap the Intel stickers on it. That will complete it. 😁 Hehe nice build as always.
I had to buy my gpu too! I mean you sent me a 3070ti but my other GPU I had to buy
On warzone 2.0 be prepared to play at 60fps 1080p medium or low.
Is that overlay an intel one or not coz i like it better than nvidia or amd
It looks really clean, did you find the answer or the name of this overlay by any chance?
Don't aim at the floor. That forces you to reposition your mouse when you see an enemy. TTK is low so that every half-second you shave off from aim time helps. Try to aim for where the upper body will be; character models have the same hitbox so there's kind of a "horizon" that your reticle should rest at for easier aiming.
Hope this helps and isn't rude.
Also great build, thanks for the benchmarks!
Pretty rude actually. If you noticed the weird sitting position I was in to film as well as the monitor pointed away from me. I don't need to be told how to play a game I clearly know how to play. I don't remember asking for an opinion
@@GearSeekers Ah I see, terribly sorry sir.
You can build a all Intel build, besides psu and memory. Use the old Intel motherboard, Intel SSD, etc
Micron is sort of Intel related. So Crucial Ballistix would be a reasonable choice. Last Intel mobo I saw was for a 2770K though. The bios was nice but it was not a pretty board.
I think they help develop the ATX standard for PSU's... You could say all of them have a piece of intel in them :')
Maby intel should make their own motherboard too.....
They used to
😎
Have you test it with Linux?
Really curious how dismal DX9, DX10 and DX11 performs on windows.. What will happen if it goes through Proton and Vulkan
It's coming
the problem is you only tested one game...every card runs good on MW2, you should definitely never use one game to benchmark to fully see how useful a card is in gaming.
I think you missed the point
@@GearSeekers no im saying im well aware that its performance is terrible in some games and the 6700xt is much better for the price and going down in price aswell. Now if intel can fix its driver issues im sure itl be better but thats a long ways away
What a buuilldddd
The problem with Intel arc is having to except that it's going to perform worse with older games then a newer game which in PC gaming it's one of the biggest benefits of upgrading your hardware while building your gaming library your basically paying Intel to be a beta tester which is crazy
Nice RS3.
Thanks!
9:38 low settings with upscaling though, that's really not that impressive, it's a good card for lower end builds but if you were expecting something that would run games at 1440p high settings with decent FPS, well, these intel cards just aren't that great, yeah they are better value than Nvidia but AMD were already in that position with more stable drivers and even lower prices than Intel
I think you missed the point
I hope you peeled off the other rams too 😅
Just RAM mate not RAMs
@@GearSeekers uhm.. So just one? The other "RAMs" didn't need to have the foil peeled? Weird, but ok 😅
Dang Daddy
Too bad the card isn't white to match the rest of the build
Who cares
"all Intel" just the GPU and CPU pshhhhhhh
Samsung, Asus, coolermaster ..... That is not intel 😉
There is a parallel universe where the 6600xt is still $850 and this abysmal turd is good value for money.
my 5700 xt is better
