Hey one question about streaming!!!! If I stream valorant on UA-cam!! Can I upload another game video or should I try to upload related to valorant?for growing love from india
I have my layout being 20 to 30 minutes of just chatting while sending out notifications on various socials. As for the 2 games I have been mainly alternating between us Stardew valley and My Time at Portia. Both games have small development teams, they both involve crafting and retro aesthetics. So I get the Minecraft fans and retro gamers coming over. I show off mods in Stardew so old players can see something new. At the end of my stream I read off my recent twitch followers.
Love your content I will promote your twitch stream in my gaming groups I have 5 star reviews for only $10 share this I will give you a share of the profit
Some one called me "their cozy reassuring guide to roguelike games" and I think this is a beautiful reflection of who I am as a creator. While I stream more than just roguelikes, I know that's what my community tends to prefer... but also that many of them will come along with me no matter what. I think my biggest "issue" is that I love experimenting... like I'm going to start a bookclub on stream. While not necessarily in my niche, its about networking, connections, community. It could be a bust, but for me content creation is about finding joy in the things I do. It might make me grow slower or maybe not grow much at all... but as long as I'm finding joy, that's what's important. I think your tips are fantastic by the way. But I also think it's important for people to consider why they create content. Is it just for higher viewership/making money or is it for some other reason?
I noticed a trend as I was experimenting with content last year, which has allowed me to find my niche - cozy crafting with a sprinkle of chaos and loads of giggles 🤭 but I still once a week play either animal crossing or the sims.
Retro is actually a good example for how variety works. If you've built up a retro base you can pretty much stream any game within that genre and people will still show up.
I think my niche is story-focused rpgs like Witcher 3 or even Breath of the Wild because I feel like my strength as a streamer (and this may sound weird as hell) is howe into the games I get. I've even cried on stream multiple times, but people who love the games I love really bonded with me over how emotional and open I am. Soooo I guess I gotta find more games that make me really emotional and that have great storylines
I was a chronic game quitter for a long time - it’s been really rewarding to stick with things until I finish and that allows me to keep building a core audience that is ready to move to a new game when I am!
I totally agree with this ~I stream Arknights, Azur Lane and Blue Archive and they all have the same players ~ so it’s really cool to have the same people enjoy different streams from me. Half of them like FPS games so they tube into my Apex and Overwatch streams as well. Then every so often I will do polls on my discord and my viewers will pick what I stream. Its my 5:11
The mindmap/niche I've focussed on isn't necessarily on Twitch anymore but for UA-cam content. And it's sort of a mix of what Alpharad and Pointcrow are doing but with a heavier focus on Pokémon as the core. I'd also say that your personal UA-cam channel has been a beacon of inspiration for me and it's great to see your efforts be rewarded!
I've gone live with me just sitting and knitting for 3 hours straight and it was one of my favourite streams XD I've also been working on focussing on one game at a time and I've found my engagement is going up every stream. Hopefully I can keep this going and improve more.
Same here, I just started streaming on Monday and have been streaming 4-5 hours every day. No new followers yet, kind of a bummer but Stream Scheme has given me some hope!
I stream strategy games like 80% of the time, like Knights of Honor, Total War and Crusader Kings. There's a lot of overlap between those games, so I get a good chunk of my audience to tune in to each game. I also usually have like 1 classic horror game night, a little less popular. But since my audience tends to be a bit older, like 30's-40's, a decent chunk will have enjoyed older games and there can be some overlap there. I think I've done really well nailing the audience. Biggest problem to me is not the target demographic (older viewers, mostly strategy fans, some horror fans), but the schedule. The point about playing the game several days in a row stuck out to me there. Right now I'll stream like: Wed: Strategy Thur: Strategy Fri: Strategy multiplayer Sat: Horror Sun: Strategy It's worked in the past, but this has lead to never playing the same game two nights in a row. Not to mention sometimes we've started co-op campaigns one day a week and that didn't work out that well. And while weekend nights have previously done well, lately they've been the worst for viewership. So maybe I'll change to Monday horror, Tues to Thur the same strategy game, then Fri as that MP game. Hopefully that'll work better!
For me I have been playing Splatoon on Twitch and this gives so much clarity Eljay! And your example with other Nintendo games could not had been better! I have been thinking about playing games like Legends of Zelda and Pokemon for a while now but have not really wanted to break a routine. Thanks so much for the feedback it means so much!
Remember you’ll always see dips when moving between but hopefully this helps build people coming back for you and with smart mapping you can select games that help balance it
Sucks worse than my vacuum cleaner when I was a curious teenager. As someone who has had a bad, pissed at my own twitch experience/UA-cam growth. You cheered me up good. Thank you and the team for all you do. .
To understand this, my schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Monday and Wednesday I play one of 3 games (rocket league, Minecraft, or terraria) and on fridays it’s funky fridays, allowing me to play any game I want, and I often get people coming in just to see what game I’m playing. Doing this, they come see what I’m playing, then they are more invested in me as a person than that random game I’m playing, bringing them back into my streams. I was wondering what you think of this style. And if possible, you could come stop by one of these days and see how I’m doing. I’m new to streaming, and somewhat lost on what to do better or lost. If you read this far, I hope you have an amazing day
My mind map has, recently, been Souls games. I've sprinkled in Soulslikes and Roguelikes around it for breaks, and now that I've finished my first journey, I'm planning more challenge runs and event streams around the souls series. I do chatting at the beginning of my stream, and Sundays are heavily chatting and community focused days. Trying to keep the variety to active adventure games.
If you find yourself trying a new game that fits the map and you see a dip in viewership don’t be discouraged or take it out on yourself. Too many of us take that to heart. Sorry my two cents. Rad video!
I'm not personally not trying to make streaming a career, but when I do start I'm wanting to play horror games, tactical shooters, VR games, and the occasional Sim game like DCS. I've got a bunch of games but not everyone ties together.
I know this is a video about Twitch, but do you think the same advice about starting with a Just Chatting segment applies to UA-cam Streams? I try to start my streams by hopping right into the game because content comes first on UA-cam. Plus, I think it's good for VOD viewers because they probably don't wanna watch me sit there for 20 minutes at the start. I'm curious to hear others' thoughts on this!
On UA-cam you can trim away parts of the stream in post. You could choose to go live with a chatting section and when you go into your stream content make sure you give the viewers another hook about what the gaming content is about. Afterwards just trim off the first section
@@DezzNytes if you edit parts out of the stream in post, it sadly removes the Live Chat Replay, which makes for an awkward viewing experience unless you’ve got your chat on screen
This video is for both platforms when mindmapping :) but twitch gets better clicks right now. I trim UA-cam VoDs to where my big intro is after I’ve been live personally :)
After binging all of your videos I took your advice and just started really focusing on making shorts and uploading UA-cam videos (just posted my first good* one) and putting steaming off for a bit 👍🏻
I mainly try to start my streams with a little bit of chatting at the beginning, but depending on if the chat is slow, I end up just jumping into the game. Right now, I mainly stick to Tuesday being specifically Dead By Daylight, or as I call it, "Trials Tuesday". My other two days are currently playing through Sekiro and finishing some Bloodborne content I missed. When I finish Bloodborne, I was thinking of jumping to Resident Evil 3 Remake. I've been kind of trying to catch up on certain franchises I missed out on, and I'm still working through some games like Dark Souls 1 and Persona 4 Golden. I've definitely started slowly developing an audience, but it just depends on the day with who shows up or not. Open to any advice you guys have.
I’d try think a bit more about your audience and where they’re coming from, if someone follows you for dead by daylight, are they likely to watch persona? They’d likely connect to other horror games, especially less gruesome ones that are similar to DbD. Just really consider where those follows are coming from and who those people :)
@@StreamScheme Appreciate the advice! I have noticed a bit of a dip on days when I play Persona, but it also depends, since sometimes my friends show up so chat is sometimes a bit more lively. I'll definitely take that comment about other horror games into consideration! Thanks for responding!
I streamed Minecraft for a year before switching to the game Satisfactory (but still do Minecraft on Fridays). I didn't lose many, but there was loss. I want to go more in the direction of games like Satisfactory (explore, gather, build). So things that would go with that are Valheim, Astroneer... and maybe No Man's Sky. The way I played Minecraft on stream also fits this genre a bit too...
Yesterday I spent some time really considering the type of content I like to make, and what games I enjoy. The idea of playing one game sounded insane to me, but I knew that games can be similar, which means you can get away with streaming Pokemon one day and potentially making a side game something else related. For me, I aim to do a mix between Pokemon, Minecraft, and Phasmophobia (just to add some spice on a day I choose). For the time being though, because I'm so new, I aim to build something in Pokemon before branching out too much.
As a very new streamer, I'm a little ways off finding my niche. BUT, I started off with a randomizer Nuzlocke run, and I'd like to do some monster collecting games! I'm thinking things like Monster Hunter Stories, some of the Digimon games, indie games like Coromon, things along those lines to start with.
Hey Eljay, thanks for the tips about growing & improving the streams, my twitch is slowly gaining more viewers(and those that already saw my content earlier are coming back). I wanna say thank you for the tips and tricks to improve my streaming content because i do love doing it!
My content map has been an interesting journey going from singleplayer games I loved to league of legends to dead by daylight to where I am now, I've been playing mostly singleplayer RPG, and anime like games nowadays like as of recent Genshin Impact and Tales of Arise. Been really thinking about and trying to focus on what I've truly wanted to do for content past while because I felt lost but now that I have an idea its time to work on becoming better and creating content for other places other than twitch but its a struggle to motivate myself but 1 step at a time. Thank you for the great content as always!
I'm new enough that I really don't know what kind of content I want to make, or even if it's to emphasize making videos or streaming. But my main genre is JRPGs so I titled my twitch stream to be a play-on words for that...which is GREAT but at the same time, the truth is I'm not deadset on a category or game. My main game is League, I like JRPGs, and I like challenge runs myself, though I'm bad at every game I play haha. I think since I'm a 0 views Andy anyway my roadmap is to just take a week or so to try streaming a little bit of everything, to find what I like best. Once I get better at entertaining, I think I'd like to do blind LPs of JRPG series I haven't done yet, like Yakuza and the Final Fantasies I haven't played. All I know is I have tons of ideas and they need to start getting made, even if they suck at first
This is an incredible bit of homework for me! Despite being able to define who I am as a VTuber, today, I have no idea how that relates to the content I want to make as a gamer. Maybe I should pull back and just focus on what I want to make as a skin designer, or as a musician, and stop worrying about video games right now.
Not me sitting here, streaming Nintendo content on Twitch, a different game every Monday, Wednesday and Friday... I feel personally attacked haha! This has opened my eyes as to what "variety" actually means in terms of streaming! I've got a lot to change up as growth is my main goals this year. Love your vids man! Thank you for the advice :D
Very rough mindmap: source games starting with CSGO, branching into the Half Life games, Team Fortress 2, Portal 2, and other Valve titles. Focusing on modding/ customi maps and community interaction through multiplayer mods played on my own servers. Inspiration taken from Jolly Wangcore, but also just the general CSGO Mapcore community, which is where I want to start building. Of course I also need to stop being addicted to the Dark and Darker demo. Or stop streaming Dorfromantik/ other chill games when I'm feeling emotionally vulnerable.
My mind map is base building adventure games and story based adventure games, ive started with astroneer, and im slowly going to start introducing subnautica and maybe some terraria in the future. Im seeing what works and going from there
I noticed i was streaming too much games instead to focus on something i enjoyed and wanted to focus on. Right now i focus on art because i upload animations on youtube so. 😌😌
I want to set my core game as dead by daylight and indulge in other horror games; Resident evil, quarry, ect.. but I enjoy playing FPS games like fortnite and rainbow six siege. Should I only focus on steaming horror tittles or should I add in fps gameplay? If I should add FPS in how often should I do so? Thanks Eljay🙏
I personally do Diablo 2 with Stream Raiders battles in every 30 mins. For giveaways i use Marbles On Stream. Also got channel points reward to make me play a song on bass guitar. If i do Stream Raiders, Marbles or Music only my viewership instantly halved. But if i do like this that i mainly focus on Diablo 2 and all other is just part of it as secondary option it kinda works out. I made lot of Diablo 2 players got interested in Stream Raiders and now they play it too also sometimes they tell me to play more Marbles race even if i don't have anything to giveaway at that moment :)
This video game out right when was thinking of quitting😅 Been mainly streaming elden ring and dark soul series and also Zelda and Mario . Those two couldn’t be more different would hate to give one up
Hey, Howdy, Ho ✌🏽🤠My Niche is retro games, more focused in super hero/ anime games, with a sprinkle of extreme sports games/fiction too. I'm also deep into the emulator game and have been learning a lot with this. I'm slowly getting into the groove of sticking with one game and switching later down the road/after i finish it
My focus is going to be games that have a macabre essence but not necessarily mainstream "horror". Games with a darker or twisted feel that are less about the action and more about making you think and plan ahead.
I have been using a lot of your tips thanks for the constant upload brother. Another video I need to bust out the notepad for. Indie games/Older games are going to my bread and butter.
I could plan for 2 target niches. 1. Tactical FPS enjoyers, so I would focus games like Tarkov, Warzone's DMZ, Apex // and then 2. Anime/Gacha niche, so I would focus Genshin, Honkai, Punishing Gray Raven. // Ideally, the end game would be to enjoy both audiences with a set schedule, this way I can enjoy both niches and take turns making 2 audiences happy with consistent pacing. Every once in a while, maybe I can focus on games that mixes the two, like Girls Frontline, Arknights, Neural Cloud, COD + Warzone Mobile, etc.
HEY BRO! So I started streaming about a week ago and Most of my streams are cod related whether it be warzone or regular multiplayer. there are other games that I would love to expand on and that I have already played on stream such as GTA 5, Fall Guys and later on i would love to also add some Fortnite & NBA 2K23. Ive watched all your videos so far and it has given me alot of ideas. would love to chat with you about helping me grow and also ur ideas. ur an inspiration to better myself as a rookie twitch streamer
What I'm currently doing is streaming 2x per day, 3 days per week. In the mornings, I play The Sims 4; in the evenings, I play a different game series each year (last year was The Witcher, this year is Borderlands). My main game could be considered to be The Sims 4, since it's the game I play the most and is what I do on YT. I tend to concentrate on chat to the point where it's about 50/50. I talk about different topics throughout the stream, ask questions, and so on. I think one idea that I might try is to take whatever game series I'm playing at night, and try to work it into The Sims somehow. Maybe try to recreate a game character or a building in The Sims. That might provide a bit of overlap between the two.
Since late December I have really been trying to focus on survival/survival crafting games. A big game that I play a lot is 7 days to die, so I have been really trying to focus my twitch/UA-cam channel on survival games. So my focus right now is games like 7 days to die, Grounded, Valheim, and a few other survival games. But I have been playing a different game each night of my streams (3 days a week), so I think from this video I may need to weekly content on a game.
I know I have thought about venturing outside of my main game, but always found my viewership was MUCH lower. I know this is to be expected but I was too worried about numbers to really TRY it. The idea of the mindmap is a great one! My other games went from my mainstay of the MMO ESO to swapping to BOTW or cult of the lamb for a video or two. I see now with the idea of a mindmap that my audience would likely have 0 interest in watching this other content. Now for the idea of could I handle more then one MMO >.> So much grinding to do in just the one I am in not sure how I could expand to another, but a thought to keep in the back of my mind!
I have been doing horror games on monday, and Wed and Thur I have been playing a back to back game like Grounded right now. Sadly, my last vod only had 7 views. Usually I get around 3 to 8 on live.
I would have to say the niche of my content is the lore of the games I play. I primarily wanna make my live content on Twitch to be something where I can play the game, talk about the lore with the viewers, and answer their question while live. That said I have started to make a UA-cam channel for just lore videos to filter more of those people in just having issues with the video editing part. But I stick with a game till on stream till I beat it and then I continue I to another game in that series or a similar game. The main reason I chose lore is because I know a great deal about the worlds of the games I play, and for a a lot of them what they are based off of. And looking at past streams where I have gonna into more detail on the lore and its source material have gotta more views and chatters. I know I probably set up an impossible niche for myself but its something I'm highly interested in and it can easily show when I talk about. And if I do switch to a different gsme I tend to give a month warning in advance.
I’m just about to start my streaming/UA-cam journey after a decade of wanting to start. My map at the moment is to spend the next 2 weeks doing a stream challenging where I climb the ranked ladder of Pokémon unite till the season ends. After that I would still play this as I enjoy competitive gaming, but not the SUPER toxic kind (looking at you LoL). And plan on sprinkling in Pokémon Nuzlockes with punishments at some point, and branching out from there. I’ve got a great support group of friends and family to help support me. Hope to see you drop in for a roasting (but fun and helpful) review 😂 Thank you for the vids that you and your team make!
I love playing COD Warzone/DMZ, CSGO and Apex Legends with a very rare DOTA game here and there. The interest to learn Val and Over Watch also starts to creep up to me. However with COD and CSGO currently being my most played games I will have to really think about my "mindmap". Especially seeing as these are two totally different "game styles" and gamer audiences. As always you explain everything so well. Thanks man!
Our layout is a bit odd. We have a channel called Watch Party Inc because our main goal is to make movies and film, to grow our audience for the films we play games that have some sort of relationship to the film. For Example: On our BTS Channel, Behind the Couch, We are currently producing a Dungeon's and Dragon's Tutorial. The first of each episode will be us reenacting the real sessions we play as a recap and then we break down the module blah blah blah. SO we are gonna play Medieval Fantasy RPG's starting with Minecraft, But we want to play Skyrim and Zelda too. Then when we work on the next film or BTS Project we play our games based on that. As for your advice we do play ALOT of Pokemon, so maybe a good transition for us is Legend's Arceus at some point. Thank you for the advice and educated input!
Iv started to stream and I play division 2 and destiny 2 I get some viewers but as soon as I put cod on I get nothing Iv lost 2 followers because I played fifa 23 one to just have a chilled stream
Chill games, Faming, Strategy, Sims Anyone who just enjoys watching someone else play a chill game as a background to something they are doing, or, just as a place to hang out when they are bored.
Really good video, I am trying to find my niche, and I have narrowed it down to competitive games, what really makes me happy was to play mario kart 64, super smash bros on the n64 and just trash my friends, not in a toxic way but in a fun way like " are you son of a ***** that was a really good move, got you on that one! , left you behind to catch by dust jajaj" and so one, it's like, friendly toxic? In any case I really do love nintendo and I really like super smash bros and mario kart but I do find it can be very boring to stream every day or to create any content of it
I think my map would be retro achievements and RPGs. I did chrono trigger DS for RA so following suit I did mystic quest. I think my niche would be challenges, RA, and RPGs.
Hey there, a regular subscriber of yours, i stream chess. Any advice, should i tackle the educational front or the entertainment side. Any tips for those in my position, thanks. A lot. Love you and your channel
My mind map has definitely become roguelikes as a cornerstone as I play them on a spin wheel on Wednesdays, but over the past month I've dedicated myself to playing every single kingdom hearts game in order as a blind playthrough! I feel like my niche then would be nostalgia or solid roguelike fundys/mechanics
I have a bunch of random games i play since I started playing games like 5 months ago and am still figuring out what all i like, but i also have a schedule more or less, and i remind my viewers at the end of every stream what im playing tomorrow and when im playing this game again. Up until recently Monday/Wednesday was Resident Evil 1(Jill), Tuesday/Thursday was Portal 2, and Friday was whatever i was in the mood for (jackbox, fortnite, COD, just chatting, reading out loud, etc) but i usually try not to play one of my scheduled games on Fridays in case someone is trying to follow my playthrough based on my schedule. And i usually try chatting for a bit at the beginning of my streams but if someones asking me to hurry up and play, and the chat is slow ill just get right to it 🤷♀️ I just finished resident evil and havent been enjoying Portal 2, and all i want to play right now is Hogwarts Legacy so ive put other games on hold to binge that for the next little bit 😅 not the wisest move, i know! But i think i should have taken a break between Portal 1 and 2 so it actually seemed like good timing. I fully intend to go back to Portal 2 and do a Chris Resident Evil 1 playthrough like I said i would, and I let my viewers know that!! Hopefully after a break ill be able to enjoy Portal 2 more😅
Issue i have is i dont have a specific game style i play, i sort of jump between things. I play Destiny 2 alot, though i dont have a community/audience yet lol.
I'm curious about your thoughts on a streamer who does game reviews as their primary content. As that niche I would think that's another way to break into being a personality streamer since a good review requires good insight.
Game reviews are a content type, not a niche :) A niche would be making game reviews about indie games, or cozy games, or shooters, etc If you build an audience who love your game reviews of cozy town builders and indie games, will they click on FPS shooter reviews? Likely not :)
The games I'm playing are shooters and action adventure games such as Halo, assassins creed, and Fallout. I think my biggest struggle right now is speaking louder I don't have a real mic so I've been using my headset for its mic. I am new at this but do you think i should get a real mic?
This is hilarious because I actually started niching down to Zelda BOTW myself 🤣. I think going forward I will stick to a Nintendo theme and I will stream some Mario, Monster Hunter, and Retro wonders all of which can be done on my Nintendo Switch.
right now im finding success with halo infinite and naruto shinobi strikers, i attempted to play tony hawks pro skater 1+2 (one of my favorite games of all time) and went from 7 viewers down to 2 viewers the next day, any recommendations for games that my audience would enjoy?
The problem i have is i got bored and played a game off the norm for me im not really liking and gained viewers and now im kinda stuck in a genre i dont like lol
I'm not sure if you've answered this kind of question before but would it be detrimental to my attempted UA-cam growth to transition from streaming to twitch to stream to UA-cam or maybe alternate and so it's primarily UA-cam streaming with a couple twitch streams a week or once a week, I've been trying for years to get twitch to work, but it just hasn't panned out like I'm trying to become more consistent with my video and shorts uploads in the hopes of reviving my UA-cam, and if those revive the channel a little bit then maybe start streaming again over here. But I'm not sure if I should keep trying for twitch.
My focus will be mostly be PlayStation games. I play a lot of fortnight with my buddies should I stream a variety games?? I am trying to grow on twitch I am also stuck on overlays and video editing 😭😭😭
i like to aim for horror with some strategy on the side (games like resident evil and dead by daylight) would team based shooters be too far of a reach to move to?
One thing is having a mind map (for me, my core is Nioh 2, so mine is Team Ninja games to one side, like Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, and Koei-Tecmo to the other, like I guess Dynasty Warriors games?; action games all around); but another thing is what to do when you're just having a capital-B, capital-D Bad Day™. Hard pivoting to a backup game is _a kind_ of variety, I guess, but it's not the best, but like, is there a way to deal with the kind of situation where you just can not?
Hi, Eljay :) I do Souls and Dead by Daylight. Surprisingly they mix well enough and DBD is mostly a community thing. Still can't figure out the whole chatting situation :( my brain gets too focused on the combat and I can't really talk during it. Plus coming up with interesting topics/stories is extremely difficult 😱
For me its MMORPG games. Im really involved in The SWTOR, STO, DCUO communities and like playing retro RPG games like Valkyrie Profile so I would like to stay within these groups
I really love playing story-focused games like Tomb Raider, I have so many story based games I want to play and stream. But I also really enjoy playing and streaming Valorant/Fortnite, and that's where my community has come from. I've been struggling to introduce these story games into my stream because I know they won't garner a lot of interest from the community I have, and I don't know how to make these two genres overlap. It's really disheartening to feel like I have to give up on streaming one of these genres. Either I stick with the games I'm playing and never get to stream story based games, or I give up the current core of my channel and effectively start over, which may not even stick if I don't find streaming story games as fun as I thought. We taking L's out here :/
I'm oscillating between Apex and Minecraft now and I honestly have no clue what I'm doing. My viewers are mostly binding of isaac fans, so they mostly like indie games. Apex is tolerable and some folks enjoy it, and I've been trying to get good at it. When I'm not playing well I switch to Minecraft, which I enjoy but imagine I could probably burn out on if I try to make it my main thing. I guess both games are accessible and fairly popular, but one audience is pretty competitive and the other generally just wants a chill stream or something of the like. I guess ideally they watch me struggle and then get to watch me wind down? I dunno. At the end of the day I'm not going to try doing something I don't enjoy (which can be messy since my adhd can make me fickle with my interests) but I guess having fun comes first and optimizing growth comes second.
I have a collection of around 2500 retro games. My plan is to beat them all, choosing one at random every time I complete one. Then, I plan to take each playthrough and make a UA-cam video about my experience with the game.
My maingame is Halo Infinite atm. I would like to stream other games once in a while but my main problem is: I just don’t like other games rn LOL I‘ve tried many other games but their just not for me. Dont know what to do. I feel like my audience would like to see other content too.

Yep! I’d consider retro similar to how I explain Nintendo, it’s less a game or genre, but an overall concept or topic
I’ve only ever beat a few games in my life and a couple weeks ago I finished re2 on stream and honestly what a feeling I have to finish more games
@@Dansanity rolling credits is honestly an awesome feeling
I totally agree with this ~I stream Arknights, Azur Lane and Blue Archive and they all have the same players ~ so it’s really cool to have the same people enjoy different streams from me. Half of them like FPS games so they tube into my Apex and Overwatch streams as well. Then every so often I will do polls on my discord and my viewers will pick what I stream. Its my 5:11
Just got affiliate yesterday and working through that big level up.. really appreciate all your vids thank you!
I've gone live with me just sitting and knitting for 3 hours straight and it was one of my favourite streams XD
I've also been working on focussing on one game at a time and I've found my engagement is going up every stream. Hopefully I can keep this going and improve more.
I was feeling discouraged and unmotivated this week, THEN this video came out! It's gotten me to refocus and energized me to keep going. tysm eljay!
Same here, I just started streaming on Monday and have been streaming 4-5 hours every day. No new followers yet, kind of a bummer but Stream Scheme has given me some hope!
I'm happy that I chose Skyrim as my game. It gives me a chance to expand so far beyond the game and focus on Elder Scrolls as a whole.
Right now I'll stream like:
Wed: Strategy
Thur: Strategy
Fri: Strategy multiplayer
Sat: Horror
Sun: Strategy
It's worked in the past, but this has lead to never playing the same game two nights in a row.
Remember you’ll always see dips when moving between but hopefully this helps build people coming back for you and with smart mapping you can select games that help balance it
@@StreamScheme Yep! Thanks so much Stream Scheme!
If you read this far, I hope you have an amazing day
How are you getting on now, a year later?
My mind map has, recently, been Souls games. I've sprinkled in Soulslikes and Roguelikes around it for breaks, and now that I've finished my first journey, I'm planning more challenge runs and event streams around the souls series. I do chatting at the beginning of my stream, and Sundays are heavily chatting and community focused days. Trying to keep the variety to active adventure games.
If you find yourself trying a new game that fits the map and you see a dip in viewership don’t be discouraged or take it out on yourself. Too many of us take that to heart. Sorry my two cents. Rad video!
Absolutely agree!
I'm not personally not trying to make streaming a career, but when I do start I'm wanting to play horror games, tactical shooters, VR games, and the occasional Sim game like DCS. I've got a bunch of games but not everyone ties together.
We have nearly the same taste of games, that's awesome! Variety is good !
what i learnt from this video - "make sure they climax"
Be kind, let them finish
This video was extremely helpful for me! Very easy to understand and I liked the graphics you chose
Bro went wild with the vacuum...
We don’t talk about it
This video game out right when was thinking of quitting😅
Been mainly streaming elden ring and dark soul series and also Zelda and Mario . Those two couldn’t be more different would hate to give one up
This was good advice, thank you. My game is super niche and finding things similar is going to be an adventure.
I got my first random to enter my chat and followed. Thank you for your tips, it helped me alot
I love your content so much. You make it fun to watch
Glad you enjoy it!
I tend to play rts/building games. Alot of my games revolve around a tower defense style. Retro games in the side which people don't play anymore
Very educational from a real streamer hats off mate
Another great video for everyone into variety, thanks for the advice!
Hope to see you drop in for a roasting (but fun and helpful) review 😂
Thank you for the vids that you and your team make!
That vacuum joke almost went unnoticed 😂
Chill games, Faming, Strategy, Sims
Anyone who just enjoys watching someone else play a chill game as a background to something they are doing, or, just as a place to hang out when they are bored.
Research research research :) look at what’s out there, think about what your style is and what you bring to chess that is unique and then decide
This is really going to help I’ve been on constant growth but I just feel like I need something more this will be put into practice! Thanks!
Great advice thank you! Cheers 🎉
👁👄👁Anyone else hear that vacuum comment or was it just me-
Hahaha I remember what happened in 8:25, writing about the Greek tragedy of Bophades was brutal.
@0:38 does your vacuum cleaner suck better now that you are an adult? mine still sucks just as bad
I got married and the vacuum cleaner was kicked out
The Vacuum cleaner comment made me audibly gasp 🤣
Hello! Is there any link to get a chat design similar to yours on stream elements?
And i usually try chatting for a bit at the beginning of my streams but if someones asking me to hurry up and play, and the chat is slow ill just get right to it 🤷♀️
I just finished resident evil and havent been enjoying Portal 2, and all i want to play right now is Hogwarts Legacy so ive put other games on hold to binge that for the next little bit 😅 not the wisest move, i know! But i think i should have taken a break between Portal 1 and 2 so it actually seemed like good timing. I fully intend to go back to Portal 2 and do a Chris Resident Evil 1 playthrough like I said i would, and I let my viewers know that!! Hopefully after a break ill be able to enjoy Portal 2 more😅
When do we get more overlays jay. Thank you all for the hardwork
Issue i have is i dont have a specific game style i play, i sort of jump between things. I play Destiny 2 alot, though i dont have a community/audience yet lol.
Also in reply, i spent 2 months on a certain lady in Elden Ring XD
Sounds like you’ll need to step back and think a bit about who you’re trying to appeal too :)
So what if i wanted my niche to be shooter games, and i streamed fortnite, would a mindmap include other shooters? Like apex or warzone etc?
I'm curious about your thoughts on a streamer who does game reviews as their primary content. As that niche I would think that's another way to break into being a personality streamer since a good review requires good insight.
Game reviews are a content type, not a niche :)
A niche would be making game reviews about indie games, or cozy games, or shooters, etc
If you build an audience who love your game reviews of cozy town builders and indie games, will they click on FPS shooter reviews? Likely not :)
So I normally have set games for a set day of the week, e.g. Terraria monday, skyrim wedesday and subnautica friday. Is this not a good Idea?
It can be tricky sadly yeah, it’s harder if people keep coming back to a different series.
Love watching your YT
I'm not sure if you've answered this kind of question before but would it be detrimental to my attempted UA-cam growth to transition from streaming to twitch to stream to UA-cam or maybe alternate and so it's primarily UA-cam streaming with a couple twitch streams a week or once a week, I've been trying for years to get twitch to work, but it just hasn't panned out like
I'm trying to become more consistent with my video and shorts uploads in the hopes of reviving my UA-cam, and if those revive the channel a little bit then maybe start streaming again over here.
Survival games, challenge runs within said survival games! That's where I have my map. Some have horror elements that may have overlap
I like puzzles and strategy games. 😊
Thanks eljay! The concept of content mapping is very helpful.
Blue balls, climax, and vacuum cleaning is my mind map
We taking L's out here :/
Would love to know how your chat overlay looks the way it does!
amazing idea and suggestions but what if nobody is on your chat or just that 1 person that usually don't really talk a lot?
Tonight’s video is about that :)
I would like to stream other games once in a while but my main problem is: I just don’t like other games rn LOL
I‘ve tried many other games but their just not for me. Dont know what to do. I feel like my audience would like to see other content too.
