  • Title: Mixed Perennial and Ornamental Grass Border: How It Blooms and How to Care for It | Garden with Marta
    Description:
In today’s episode of “Garden with Marta,” I’m excited to show you my mixed perennial and ornamental grass border, which I planted a few months ago. This is a fantastic opportunity to see how beautifully the plants are blooming and how they have grown.
    🌾 Ornamental Grasses:
    • Deschampsia cespitosa ‘Goldschleier’
    • Calamagrostis brachytricha
    • Autumn Moor Grass (Sesleria autumnalis)
    • Stipa
    • Miscanthus ‘Memory’
    • Hakonechloa
    • Carex ‘Frosted Curls’
    🌸 Perennials:
    • Salvias: ‘April Night’, ‘Blue Bouquetta’, ‘Rianne’, ‘Salute Blue’
    • Stachys ‘Hummelo’
    • Echinaceas: ‘Magnus’, ‘Mediation Pink’, ‘Dark Pink Pearl’, ‘Delicious Candy’
    • Perovskia ‘Blue Steel’
During this walk through the border, I’ll show you how the plants are blooming and how they’ve spread. I’ll also share my methods for dealing with weeds, which help keep the border looking its best.
This video is a great inspiration for anyone looking to create their own gardens. You’ll find ideas for plant combinations and have the opportunity to see how the border evolves over the weeks.
Don’t forget to subscribe to the “Garden with Marta” channel and follow along with future episodes to see more stages of this beautiful border’s development.

Hi Marta, I've been very interested in this style of planting so it's great to see a newly planted one develop. I think some Gaura (pink or white) would make a very pretty addition.

Good morning and thank you Marta for another video! I have learned so much from you already!
I have so many questions maybe you could answer me please how do you keep the record where have you planted the bulbs if you cannot see them any longer and you want to add a new plant in this specific flower bed? Thank you in advance. Diana.

Thank you for the video! Love watching how garden develops over time. It will help if you can add the name of the plants as a subtitle I. The screen.

Hello! Nice to meet you. I like growing plants and gardening, I find peace and relaxation. Life is increasingly stressful, only the green color of trees can create for us the most relaxing environment and best health.

Thank you for your inspirational video! I have a big sloped garden east of Gothenburg, which I have terrassed with granit drywalls. It seems we have the same weather conditions here as in Poland. In one of your previous videos you showed your beautiful row of Brunnera. Now I’m so inspired to get some for my garden next spring. Love the silvery-green shades of those leafs.

The border looks wonderful and will be stunning once it matures! I tried planting catmint and unfortunately they didn't do well. I'll have to try again.

Hi Marta, ever time I see that dark fence I see clematis on it. Something like Nelly Moser in the shadier area because it does best with some shade. I live in Alberta, Canada zone 3 and it reliably comes back.

Marta, what is the name of the hedge across the street? I’m going to plant grasses in front of our home after watching this. Just gorgeous!

That is looking lovely. So calming with the gently swaying grasses and purple/blue blooms. I just planted some yarrow (Achillea) this year and i love how the ferny texture of the foliage contrasts with other plants. Maybe it could handle the dry conditions?

Marta, I just can't pick a favorite from your border, although the plants are young, they are beautiful. I look forward to the flush of blooms, of different colors as well. You have such wonderful ideas with textures and colors in your gardens.

Marta, hello from England. Watched your videos several times. Can not admire your gardens enough. I picked some great ideas from your garden. I have big love for salvias just like you, but find it difficult to find some varieties like April night in England. How do you manage to keep all your plants in brilliant condition!!
