I didn’t pay much attention to roses until I saw your garden. This Spring I bought 6 and am enjoying them so much. I will continue to add more each year. Your roses are very beautiful, I can smell them in my mind. 😊

    Hi Marta from Kansas City.
Your garden has been an inspiration for me. And your English is amazing!!
I had been wanting to add roses in the beds I was creating. I planted 25 David Austin Roses this spring. Almost all had a great first flush for only being in the ground a few months. So early this year. Boscobel and Princes Alexandra of Kent smelled the best.
I agree with scent and memory. For me it is Iris that takes me back to my grandmother’s garden and makes my heart smile.
    Take care

Gorgeous garden and plant combinations! My favorites now are Generous Gardener for health and flower power, James Galway for beauty, and Princess Alexandra of Kent for flower size.

I agree with you, Marta! Every rose is beautiful in its own way. As well as our children.
However, there are those with beautiful scent.
In may garden this is Double Delight and Jacques Cartier.
The healthiest rose is Marie Curie and she hase the most lush bloom and
refined scent. The most beautiful flower shape has the Queen of Shweden.
Just my opinion. I only have 29 roses. Greetings from Zagreb!🌹

Hi Martha! Your garden is gorgeous! My memory is a scent of Rosa glauca in my grandmother’s garden in Ukraine. Now I live in Cleveland US. I started from Bonica and ground cover roses. And as my confidence groves I grow David Austin roses now. I found that Kordes roses are doing better in our climate, specifically the blooms are staying much longer than on DA roses. I have two Polka roses with ruffle apricot petals. This is a small climber, good for pegging. I let the canes arch and they look amazing, very healthy rose. I am alway looking forward for your new videos! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise❤️

I have too much shade for roses but I still try them just to enjoy their smell and beauty. There is a lady in Connecticut, USA, on UA-cam who also loves roses. She came here from Ukraine and her name is Olga Carmody. I think you and she should be friends!

David Austin roses. They bloom continuously, have amazing scent, and look like old English roses.

U nas w New Jersey wszystkie róże zakwitły bardzo szybko w tym roku i już przekwitły. Były ogromne i były piękne. W tym roku mieliśmy plage gąsienic, które potem wyrosną w ogromne ćmy. Wybierałam wszystkie które widziałam, ale zjadły mnóstwo lisci. Mam nadzieję, że róże odbiją mimo braku liści.

I so wish i could grow roses but my deer friends would eat them all.The floral scent that triggers a memory for me is lily of the valley as my grandmother used to wear this scent, it actually made me tear up thinking of this.

So beautiful. I don’t have any flower scents from my childhood, though mum grew red salvias at one time. She was not a gardener. I planted some roses into my new garden a couple of years ago and they have done nothing. It’s currently winter here in Australia and I was going to try moving them but maybe they just need more time.

I really love Rosa Rugosa varieties, because in Germany they are often used as a border at coastal areas and they remind me of family holidays. And I really love my Rose de Resht Rose, it often blooms until November and smells amazing.

Hi Marta, thank you for sharing your beautiful garden. How do you keep your Angela small? Do you just prune them heavily? Wouldn't you lose a lot of flowers though given that its a climber? Thank you.
