Great review - and another positive one for the Kamiq - which seems to be receiving universal praise. One question, what's the status of the issues VW group had with their 1.5 evo engines - have they all been addressed by appropriate software updates?
@CarGurus UK... Don't worry, I heard that no one in the UK is observing the lockdown rules anyway. As for the Skoda Kamiq, it's not very creative or interesting, (like a Juke or Yeti) it's a tad bland and has no identity whatsoever. It pales in comparison to it's rivals. Nonetheless, it is a decent offering with slightly above average marks out of ten. Not for me though- pass! 😭
I was actually looking at getting one of these as like Skoda in general, it seemed to offer good value. Then I got to the options list.. so many of the options are standard on its rivals that it suddenly didn't seem so great.
Skoda The Best car, fit to All your whishes and needs for a stabil and fine car. Have Octavia now from the start 1997 Till now 2022 Love that car, fine for dogs and children so much space. I AM 58 years old, single Woman with dogs, showing Them around, i AM exciting to try the lovely design that the Kamiq have, so on New eventures, still only in cars from Skoda, All what you need in a car, gets you and your family from Skoda. 1 problem no duel air con no front bumper sensors fitted no electric heated seats I have the ford focus mk3 it's got everything half leather interior and it's a 20lt diesel TITANIUM x I have drove the skoda kamiq it's a real nice car
Another quality car from skoda why do they even bother to do these reviews anymore we know what to expect. Ive had the karoq for 2 years now, every one who travels in it comments on what a great car it is. As you said Rebecca classy without being flashy a great quote.
I have had my kamiq for minths. Cannot find any instructions about how to connect to wifi. I have the admussen system and a phone box. The phone connects via bluetooth but no wifi . Does the phone have to be in the box for the wifi to work? Why do peopke assume that everyone is a tech guru? So confused.
This is yet another throwaway lease car. My goodness we waste some money in the UK. We have so many makes and models available, all doing exactly the same thing and yes we all have different tastes, I've no problem with that but its the fact nobody buys a car and KEEPS it. Just think of the heavy industry needed to mine and refine all the raw materials needed, the energy required to heat up, cut, shape, press and mould everything in order to build these cars. Not to mention the fuel required for parts to be shipped and transported here there and everywhere, just so someone with a promotion can have the next new model, which is not going to do the job any better than the previous one in the grand scheme of things. Personally I think you are better off getting one good car that does everything you need, and keep it 10 years. Stop wasting money trading it in and signing up for another lease deal. Cash or HP, set number of payments and then you own it. Suzuki Vitara, Toyota Corolla or any Subaru will last you a very long time. Reliability is the key. Never mind the badge, use some common sense. Whats my choice ? Dont buy new. Get one of the last shape Subaru Foresters, low mileage, 16 plate onwards, manual gearbox if you can as they are a bit quicker than the CVT. unless you get the XT model. Still a load of them for sale, less than two years old. Does everything you need. When you pay it off, use your money to buy a flat to rent out or something useful.
What I do NOT like about this car is that you can see the painted door frame from the inside.. Come on VAG... There are cheaper cars that have covers on the door frames.
Very good review, but right now, who the heck has the money to buy a new car. However, should you have the money then go in hard with the bargaining as, right now, the buyer is king.
The Nissan Juke? Rubbish. The Juke was released in 2010, Daihatsu Rocky, Toyota RAV4, Honda CRV, Kia Sportage, Suzuki, X-90, Jimny, Escudo... 30 years older than the bloody Juke.
Jamie Flanagan Same here! I’m ok with Suzuki Jimny, Jeep Wrangler and some range rivers and that’s it. I always drive 5 door hatches and it won’t change
I see nothing wrong with an attractive woman doing a car review . Rebecca is a highly accomplished reviewer who adds a lot of visual appeal and a touch of class to the reviews and I'm sure she has many fans. The fact that she also happens to be a highly attractive woman with an intriguing accent is an added bonus. I had no trouble focusing I think a beautiful, intelligent woman is an enhancement for most things in life. 😊
Love Rebecca. The best car journelist by a country mile
The Kamiq’s interior quality is significantly better than its VW T-Cross cousin - which is meant to be more upmarket 🧐 fabulous car.
Rebecca your reviews are great I really like watching them 👍🇬🇧
1:50 Shutting the door produces a quite remarkable sound
That was a travel mug on the door
Great video Rebecca. Dispite the rain..
Disclaimer: This review was filmed before the UK lockdown came into effect. Let us know what you think of the Skoda Kamiq!

there you go.. another Rebecca review in the rain 😁😁
I wish you could join the CarWow group Rebecca. You and Matt would make the reviews delightful like in the old days.
Yesss!!
Looks good will put it on future list I’m not in the new car market yet four or five year old for me just now.
I love how you Londonists say "Skauda" 👏🙂
if you want to say it right you have to say Schkoda, but Englishspeaking people can not do that
@@lukasb9697 We can, but just feel self-conscious saying it :-)
Phonetically speaking it’s Sko-da. Non English cannot pronounce most of our words, let alone understand different accents

Looking fantastic and smart as usual Rebecca
Thanks, Rebecca, I agree with all you said and that is really exception.
Very useful Review. (And such dulcet tones ..).
Glad to see the bananas are back, good review.

Great, clear review.
Got 70 plate and love it
Great video Rebecca
Useful - wish the info on the body and how strong for safety- First time seeing Rebbecca- more cars before getting 1 ?
Amazing car
Love you Rebecca ❤️
Steady there, Joe!

Is the 1 litre a worthy performer?
I would be tempted to try if it had a electric handbrake.
Huh, you forgot to talk about interior material quality?
is this a mechanically reliable car? (never owned or driven one, have had kia sportages's and nissan quashqais the last 15 years)
Would like to know this too
See all the water sloshing out from under the door when you started to drive off.
Does the OBD show details on the screen ? Or do we still have to pay someone with an OBD reader ? Asking for a friend.
REBECCA YOU ARE AWESOME LOVE YOU
What's with the background music?
Rebecca.. very good job!!! If I had the money, I would buy it because you just sell it!
Why review SE L when the most popular is SE

This lady has a very appealing voice.
It matches her very appealing face 😍
I thought rebecca retired because she got old.
glad to see she still looks fine
Haha, that's hilarious.
I love Skoda and wish they sold cars in the US... however I will never understand manufacturers putting out SUVs without even the option of AWD.
So simple...so beautiful, how much l wait to get it in India...ok till September
You will not get kamiq in india, instead vision in, sad part is , lower width , 3 people in rear cannot sit. And no diesel variant.
Why Skoda doesn't launch kamiq as it is in india ? They are launching a screwed up vision in with lower width and worsen looks
Skoda's specialty, more space in the interior then others. Everything else I'm not big fan..
All those bananas would give me horrendous wind.
Only Apple car play? Surely with both Apple and Android customer bases it makes sense to include both?
It’s got both Android and Apple Car Play ?
@@philurquhart9671 yes, I have one and has both Android and Apple
Guys what the best BMW 3 series year. For like 5-10k euro!
Anyone else think the rear end looks a bit like a Volvo?
Oh yeah why ain't you using the umbrella that's in the door
Lol... Nappy interface.... While the interface lags 2 touches

i can't believe she has an umbrella
Thanks for the review!
Should I get the 1.0 or 1.5?
If you have the money to spend on a bigger engine and more fuel why wouldn't you get the 1.5?
Very good review, but right now, who the heck has the money to buy a new car. However, should you have the money then go in hard with the bargaining as, right now, the buyer is king.

Good work Rebecca keep it up. Skoda has produced a good underrated car so much space for that money. Better than the Puma.
Skoda pretty good like it
Lots of tech ? ... the seats are manually adjusted, just like a Morris Oxford.
Electric seat adjustment is optional.

Banana in the glove box ? 😁😁😁
5 foot 4 ? Jeepers, what decade was this filmed, the world (except the USA) went metric a long, long time ago.
Just like the US, the UK still use Imperial measurements, in Australia, we went metric on 1 July, 1974.
They're running out of words that start with K to name their SUVs.
They don't need more. The VAG group does SUVs in 3s.
They also end with a Q
@@donkeysunited Erm.. what about VW themselves, a few more than just 3. And let's not start on Audi..
You should warn the viewer that this is a paid promotion
Beautiful Car [Beautiful Lady ]
Unfortunately not being an electric car it will be obsolete in 5 years. You will find that it is difficult to sell in the future.
Clive Thomas nope. Petrol and diesel will still be here for some time yet. Due to the coronavirus, people won’t be able to afford to go electric
Classic scratchy Skoda plastics
Shocking you have to pay £500 to get it in black
wait what did I see a old style handbrake😳😳😳😳.. You lost my interested at that point 🙈🙈
Rebecca is quite lovely.
That's a bit sexist.
Yes, I know, but I didn't know how else to say how much I appreciated her review.
Just here to hear someone mispronounce Škoda.
Nice woman and nice car....wow...💕🇩🇪
The only thing I liked about this car is the reviewer.
I like Skodas but hate SUVs, Cross overs and any other type of tall hatchback. I hope this trend stops as the roads are full of these useless things.
Jamie Flanagan Same here! I’m ok with Suzuki Jimny, Jeep Wrangler and some range rivers and that’s it. I always drive 5 door hatches and it won’t change
Loads of people are buying these useless things.
No match for the Fiat Corona XL.
Ha ha good joke Fiat the most unreliable car company in the world.
I don't think fit women should present cars. Men can only focus on one thing at the time. I mean it.
