- Catching up with the requests to try the Bevel Blade with the razor. I’ve used the Bevel Razor before but never tried the blades that come with it. Turned out to be a great combo and gave a great shave.

I just introduced my baby brother to DE shaving. Gave him a Gillette slim adjustable and some Stirling soap and he really has enjoyed it so far. He's been most appreciative for the introduction.

😂 just like a son to listen to strangers more than his dad. But I’m glad he’s may be opening up to wet shaving. And I think he looks more like Chris Bauer the actor who played “machine” in the Nick Cage movie 8mm. He also played the Irish mob boss in the excellent (but only one season) tv show “The Black Donnellys”.

Great shave Ken!!! My Sunday so far has been super busy with gardening, smoking food for the family, and repairing old gutters on the house. I've used the Bevel razor, and it's a good razor, and the blades are nice as well. I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. Cheers!!!

Hello Ken. Nice shave. My wife and I watched your son's shave. Glad he was able to have a second try and all went well. But, I agree with the banging and cringing every time he hit it on the counter. LOL
Well, I have a 34 year old that was on home for leave and I was able to show him a video or two. I might have him converted to at least the soaps and creams for shaving. And a child listening to their parents? Come on. HA HA Have a good one.

Nice shave, Ken. I have a RazoRock KEYHOLE Plissoft 22mm brush and it's my daily driver. I have an Ever-Ready coming from eBay that I'll restore using your videos. I'll put in a synthetic knot in it. I'll let you know how it turns out!

My oldest boy is 31 now and I got him into wet shaving last year. I bought him the bevel razor and he loves it, he was in the dollar club but no more!! The other two didn’t like it but he says he’s a lifer !!
Great shave and video Ken. Yeah just get him to use a proper shave soap and brush with his Dollar Shave Club razor. That alone will be a huge improvement and it will be a much more comfortable shave for him. Another couple of razors he would enjoy would be the Marvel DE which is extremely comfortable and easy to use and the Leaf. I'm more than confident that he will enjoy the leaf considering that it works like a cartridge razor does.

Great video Ken, and thanks for your previous reference to your watch collection. For us watch guys, could you please add a quick watch check of what you're wearing for each shave? I'm looking forward to your Grandfather's tribute shave. Like you my grandfather served in a Scottish Division, the 51st, and he was lucky to survive WW1. We latter generations have had it easy, compared to those who served in WW1.

Great shave, Ken. Glad your R41 survived. I like the shave that the Bevel gives me. The only drawback for me is the pencil thin handle. I've resorted to changing out the handle for one I find comfortable to use. Looking forward to the Grandfather tribute shave.

Honestly even if your son doesn't pick up de shaving. The good thing is that he shaves. It's still do something to bond over! Great shave today. The bevel system has an Indian replica called Bombay shave. It's on Amazon for a fraction of the price of the bevel

I got the Bevel because you recommended it in a past video. Have been using it with their supplied razors and enjoy how it shaves. Only drawback would be that once I get the handle wet, it can get slippery to hold especially if I get any shaving cream / soap on it just like you noted. Thanks for the recommendation!

I see you used a synthetic brush for this shave. I have a Yaqi synthetic and I sometimes wonder why I paid all that money for a badger hair brush. The Yaqui is wonderfully soft

Ken, ever tried inversion therapy? I have a bit of letter back trouble and I haven't had any issues since trying it out. I basically just do it when I go to the gym every day before my workout I lay on a decline bench and let the spine relax and stretch out.

Great shave as always. Let me ask something if you don't mind. Why don't you rinse between passes? A little bit of water helps to up the slickness from the soaps, maybe you give it a try.

Tell him to keep away from Dollar Tree blades. I am very willing to agree that they are subpar, despite my lack of reference. That said though, I am amazed at how much better my shave was!
I shave about once or twice a week, and all this time, I thought it was just my beard growing in thick, and it was just a literal face full of ingrown hairs. Van Der Hagen, here I come!

Be careful Van Der Hagen blades are sharp as all get out.
I've been getting conflicting reviews. Some are saying that the blades are serviceable ( sharp, but only gives a couple of shaves) some say they are garbage, and others swear by them.

Great shave, Ken! Hope your back feels better. I just purchased a 1962 Gillette slim adjustable from ebay. I've been using a Merkur 34C the past few months and wanted to try something different. It needs a cleaning first though. Is it ok to soak it in 91% Isopropyl Alcohol for a few minutes after I scrub it up with dish soap?

It's problematic "telling" another person how well something will work...This said, "I could have told ya"....Bevel Blades are exceptionally good in any razor not just the Bevel Shave System Razor...I still think the razor is more aggressive than Tristan Johnson(the founder of the Bevel Company for those who do not know) indicates and will bite in a heartbeat. As for your son, Offspring often if not typically discount what their Sires say/think/advocate but in the wet shaving world he might go down a "rabbit hole" if he listens too much to some of those viewers might say....They are not the most enlightened/tolerant crowd....(in my opinion).
