Good tips, nice to see you uploading again! It’s pretty funny how well jigging those Kastmasters can work. I went to Clear lake (the McKenzie River one) a couple years ago and the only way I consistently got the trout to bite was by adding a little jig action to my retrieve.
I fish this same place for bass and do okay.. if you walk to the other side of that spill way you can sit at the bottom where it pools up n catch em there pretty good.. even got a catfish down there lol tight lines
Helpful video. New to stocked trout fishing…having some issues with using Floating PowerBait Eggs with and without floats. Is there a general rule you use to determine when to use either method?
Thank you 🤙. It really depends on fish activity. The more active they are, the closer to the surface they will be catchable, hence the use of a float. Otherwise, it's really hard to go wrong either way with the floating eggs on a Carolina rig off the bottom.
Awww your back! Do you know if you can currently fish Waverly or is it shut down??? (Sounds like this vid may have been shot just before the whole Covid thing started!? I've noticed several parks now closed).
Trout hammer, My buddy and i would love to fish with you sometime this summer! We are in portland area. Fish waverly regularly! Come to st louis ponds tomorrow! We will be hittin it for trout, sunfish and bass :)
If you ever wanna fish with subs I could use some lessons! I feel like im disabled when it comes to trout fishing, and I think I picked the wrong time of the year to give it ago 😂😂
They're likely in the channels of both lakes. In Waverly that's about 120 feet between 1 and 2 o'clock from the end of the dock, and Timber Linn that's closer to the south side, about 50 feet from the bank
Welcome back Scott. Hope the family is doing well.
Thank you 🤙
Good to see ya again man!
Thank you. It's good to be back 🤙
Good to see another Trouthammer video 🤘

Yeah, those Kastmasters do an great job of mimicking an injured fish when you jig or twitch them

Was just there last week. Couple bites but no takers
So was I. They put some picky fish in there last week
Back in action. Love it.
This blows over let's thump on some sturgeon. I got the boat and the gear.
Hell yeah!
Where do you get that yellow thicker yellow bait worm and what brand? I've tried looking but only see the thin ones from Berkeley.
It's a Crapie Magnet, by the same people that make Trout Magnet lures. They can be found at Sportsman's Warehouse and Amazon
Nice! I went there tonight using the technique you used with the spoon and caught 5, the biggest was my PB 👌🤙
Excellent!

This is one of the best times for trout. Most of the places they're at are cold enough to get them active 🤙
@@TheTroutHammer good to know, you ever have any luck on the willy between 20 and 99 for trout?
I've caught them at Bryant Park and Montieth Park. Haven't tried around Corvallis or Harrisburg
@@TheTroutHammer good to know, I just need a change of scenery from Waverly and timberlinn! Lol

what is the name of the lake
Waverly Lake
@@TheTroutHammer thank you
🤙
@@TheTroutHammer what kind of bait do you recamend for henry hagg lake
For trout? Power Bait should work just fine. Either the eggs, or the worms
