Have had the Furon V7 pro in AG for a month or so now and i have to echo what you said about the upper. It's crazy good. I bought them because they were on sale and reviews were good. I don't see myself returning to my Phantom GX 1 in AG over my Furons now.
@@BootWizard The AG plate is serviceable. The stud length is good (shorter then my Phantom's in AG which is nice on some of the shallower 3G pitches I play on) my only gripe is the weight. My US 11 weigh's 229 grams which i know isn't heavy but for a speed boot that is heavier then my Phatom's and Superflys. And with the FG Furon's being so light i was really hoping it would be closer to the FG weight.
Hey man I'm looking to buy a pair of furons v7 pro ag as well how's the durability and is it worth it I found them on unisport for 150 and I'm tempted to cop it you think I should go for it and are the studs good for accelerating and decelerating on ag pitches
I also needs for SG but also wanted to use it in FG. I already have FG boots. Do you think I should go for FG model of this? Will it be still ok in Muddy ground?
@@Ixtiyor_Hasan Up to you really - I'm in the U.K so Sg is necessary for the mud baths we play on in the winter. If you're not regularly playing on soft pitches then FG should be absolutely fine :)
Switching from NB 442 to this. The boots don't disappoint me. Soft, comfy(there were some hot spots before I broke in because I have super wide feet) and good for striking. Tekela meets my expectation. Trust me this boot is great if not the greatest.❤
Do you find that there’s too much space in the front of the boot when you go up half a size? I would still like to have that “close to foot” feel without it being too tight/restrictive. Loved the video, thanks!
No there isn't too much room, generally I want boots to be as tight as possible without being uncomfortable, if I don't go up the half size they're pretty uncomfortable unfortunately, but up half size still leaves very little room..
I was a bit excited for this boot and hoped they improved the heel area because it digs in and almost cuts my heel. I tried regular size and wide size and same thing. Besides that, it was a good boot. But I ended up returning it. And I saw the Apex sock !! How’re they? I know that they don’t really have internal grips but it’s something else ?
Unfortunately had a few people messaged and say that they've had heel issues, might make a follow up video just to give people some more info. The Apex I'm still testing, they're really good. No internal grips like you say they go with a different method which is effective in its own way.
I just got this pair and it fit me perfectly apart from the heel area on my left foot … obviously I went half a size up, any solutions? Didn’t train or play in them yet just wear them and walk around my house and could still feel the friction on my left heel. I know that a big blisters is coming on the way if I do play in them😂 but overall I love the fit of the Tekela! Got no problem at all on my right heel
Essentially my only suggestions are wear them round the house a bit more and see if it eases and maybe try a pair of grips socks with heel grips. But unfortunately there's not a huge amount you can do and it might be a case of these not working for you. You could also try a different pair of the same boot, sometimes there's small variances that can be different between pairs and especially colourways
Hi James, are these same fitting as the Laceless? And also are these same fitting to the earlier version the V4 Pro non-plus? I had the true to size Laceless v4 pro 2E but it was too tight. So thinking of getting half a size up in these instead of the V4 pro non-plus
Would you agree with comments thst these are essentially w wifer Vapor 13 (aka the goat aka Andrew's worst nightmare) Also had similar issues with my v4 low and vapor 13 where the upper started out tight so went up half size ( TTS in the vapors instead of half down) . And it ended up overstretching 😅
I don't think I've put enough into them just yet to get the overstretching issue but I could see it happening. If it does I'll report back! They certainly have Vapor 13 elements to them and I can see the comparison with the knit, and probably to a degree explains why I like them so much, but I think there's enough difference between them that I maybe wouldn't make the direct 1:1 comparison. Side note i would take the vapor over these!!¡
If you've got hot spots you just need to work out how bad they are, if you think it's pretty bad then I would swap them for something else. The heel will only break in a little bit.
ah ok ty man fs ill try swapping them out the ds x fly light 5 are about $70 atm do you think theyll be much different from the limited edition due to the upper ty in advance
I received my X Fly 5's a few days ago. I can assure you for wide feet they are simply unbeatable. Small changes but even better as the X Fly 4's but never change a winning boot I guess. Asics is doing an amazing job just hoping they start selling them in Europe so I can stop paying stupid import taxes.
Seriously is ridiculous how much softer they got from the past gen which was already soft. Personally would say it's definitely the softest knitted upper boot I've ever worn.
Can you compare these to Tiempo 10 fg elites? Willing to give these a try. How would be the traction on damp grass compared to tiempos? Is lockdown better? Also is there any difference between v4 pro and v4+ pro? They seem to be the same other than colors.
The V4+ pro is an update, mainly to the upper material and upper texture, the texture is better and the upper is more flexible. I think I address this in the video. Traction I don't see you having a problem. Lockdown is okay, it's not the best on the market but it's not a problem.
@@BootWizard He absolutely does, and he had a good match last night if you caught it. But the boots that landed him as legendary (IMO) was the adidas F50 adizero during the 2014 World Cup. I will forever associate him to those boots.
I have not tried the Ultrezza 3. The channel also focuses on non leather boots so it's not something that I'll be reviewing either. Although based on what I've seen and heard from other reviewers like Lockhart Boot Blog, while they've been positive I don't think it would be my top pick anyway. In terms of ASICS boots the ASICS DS Light X Fly 5 LE is currently a close 2nd for my favourite boot of the year, might even overtake this by the end of the year. 🤔
These are must have second boot for the kit bag. You can wear whatever you want but if need an emergency boot, these will have you covered!
So true, would make an amazing second boot
