Despite constantly playing this game weeks after the first release I only started using reflect a few months back. I'm one of those poor saps that gets all of his defensive options blown up no matter how much I mix them up and I tend to get smacked after reflecting and very rarely can I pull off a punish and I just get so mad I wind up never using reflect for the remainder of matches. So far you're only one to actually put this info in an easy to understand but still thorough format so I seriously have to say thank you! I finally feel like I can improve my defense and my offense thanks to this video.
Great video. It covers basically everything, except that some supers can be used as a punish too. This can be useful for characters that dont have fast enough moves to do a regular punish

I'm surprised you didn't mention Videl's dodge given that it's supposed to be her own "special" reflect mechanic, perhaps you could make a small footnote video covering it and how it differs in use from the standard reflect? It's still a great video regardless, and I can't wait to see what else you have in store!
Would you believe me if I said I temporarily forgot that she existed? 😂 I'd probably just include that as a note in her specific character guide at some point
@@RathFGC Ive found that the dodge works best as high low protection, continue blocking if they havent passed through you and dp if your opponent is whiffing buttons in your face. It is possible to punish a whiffed 2M and some 5Ms with a light, but most of the time you just end up getting hit by a panic light or assist.
I would also like to bring in the idea of using a ki blast as an answer when you reflect, trunks for example can feflect, ki blast vanish, combo into ex flip, jS > jH which switches side so you can either take your turn or do an instant overhead side switch
