@@2SpaZ I keep playing the Buford T Justice song, not sure why just makes me laugh. Haven't watched the 3 smokey & the bandit movies in a while might have to watch the next few days.
Technological advancement in Cell phones ruined the world. Give me a 2000-2002 Nextel phone and I’m all set. Apps/web…screwed up everything starting with the family unit.
Jackie Gleason was to Smokey and the Bandit what Marlon Brando was to The Godfather. Off all the amazing things he did, he was put on this earth to play Sheriff Buford T. Justice!
I like to think that Burt would’ve returned the favour after this if he got the chance: at a party celebrating Jackie Gleason he wanders in dressed as the Bandit, gives Jackie a Diablo Sandwich and a Dr Pepper.
Jackie Gleason did Smokey and the Bandit for free , Burt sent him and Sally Field the script and said " it's crap but we can make it funny" Jackie rang Burt back after reading it and said he hadn't laughed so much in years !
That's Madeline Kahn up there with Burt. She was funny as all hell. Had her own show and it was great. She died way too young in 1999. RIP to her as well.
@@house5729 Put your glasses on. Look again. Then pull up “Young Frankenstein” or “History of the World Part 1 “ to see the one and only Madeline Khan. Oh, by the way I love Bernadette (not Bunadette) as well. I met her once.
You can never ever reboot Smokey and the Bandit because there is no one, I mean no one who can replace Jackie Gleason as Sharif Bufort T Justice of Texarkana, TX.
I love how the guy in the background that can be seen over Jackie's right shoulder has the expression on his face of "Who the Hell is this Asshole, and what the hell is he talking about?" Like the guy has never seen Smokey and the Bandit.
That's sort of what made it funnier to me when he acted totally oblivious of him like he wasn't standing there. His delivery was great. Miss them both. RIP Burt and Jackie
That would've made it unreal. In the '77 movie he never laid eyes on him until the very end when the Bandit told him to look over his shoulder. That was just like he was on the radio.
The only thing that would be funnier if they would've played Bufords theme when he came out
That and his stupid sidekick son come saying "Daddy he's right there!"
@@RichWeigel yeah that would be a lot funnier
Buford's theme was just gold! Fit his character perfectly!
@@2SpaZ I keep playing the Buford T Justice song, not sure why just makes me laugh. Haven't watched the 3 smokey & the bandit movies in a while might have to watch the next few days.
It's out there with his theme.
Jackie Gleason showed up in hot pursuit as Sheriff Buford Justice w/cigarette in hand was EPIC!
I think it’s safe to say Jackie Gleason absolutely LOVED playing Buford T. Justice lmao
Absolutely brilliant…I’m watching in 2025, and the films always make me smile, and I’m now 53
Someone get that man a Diablo sandwich and a Dr Pepper and make it fast he’s in a god damn hurry
And bring back the 🚽 toilet 🧻 paper.
@@captaindan5347 some hush puppies daddy 😂
They're is only one Buford and One Bandit and that's Jackie and Burt - Two Legends Missed
More entertainment in nearly 2 minutes than in the last 2 years combined.
As much as I loved the bandit
Buford T justice is the real reason we all watched the movies
Facts…never would have been the same movie without him!
This sketch would never become boring !
I love how jacky Gleason made the character of sherrif Buford T justice come alive.
LOL 😂 Jackie Was So Hilarious! NOBODY can ever replace him. R.I.P Mr.Gleason thank you for all your films and shows.
It would’ve been funny if Junior came running in:
“Daddy! They got Hush Puppies!”
“SHATTAP, SHIT!”
a missed opportunity
You know looking back, the world used to be a better place to live in.
You are so right
Yes

Jackie was the star of those movies....What a character...😂😂😂
Jackie Gleason was to Smokey and the Bandit what Marlon Brando was to The Godfather. Off all the amazing things he did, he was put on this earth to play Sheriff Buford T. Justice!
Just iconic.
Unbelievable Mr. Gleason
The first Bandit movie is the reason why I have been driving a Firebird since 1997. (Sadly I couldn‘t afford a Trans Am back then)
That was the greatest tribute ever.
Thought he was gonna ask for the Diablo sandwich afterwards 😅
Jackie Gleason definitely knew how to work an audience.
That frigging awesome!!
Great movies. Rip 2 legends.
He really was The Greatest
This is one of the most hilarious things I´ve ever saw in my life.
Ah yes, the good ol' days when people were truly hilarious.
True dat
RIP Jackie Gleason, Burt Reynolds...et all.. you all gave us great laughter and entertainment.
Two of My Favorite Actors Jackie Gleeson and Mr. Burt Reynolds himself. Both of you are missed. But you'll be Chase each other in the Sky.
And he never makes eye contact with Burt at all. This is gold
God I miss Jackie & Burt. They made a great pair. RIP thanks for the the laughs. ❤
I like to think that Burt would’ve returned the favour after this if he got the chance: at a party celebrating Jackie Gleason he wanders in dressed as the Bandit, gives Jackie a Diablo Sandwich and a Dr Pepper.
"Nice ass."
And a roll of toilet paper!
What we have here is comedy gold. The very last time Jackie Gleason got to play Buford T Justice.
“I know you’re out there!”
This is priceless...
Great find!
Thanks for sharing.
Some of the best comedy movies ever!!!
Jackie Gleason did Smokey and the Bandit for free , Burt sent him and Sally Field the script and said " it's crap but we can make it funny" Jackie rang Burt back after reading it and said he hadn't laughed so much in years !
Where have all the good times gone?
Are you gonna be ok? 🤣

I saw the first movie from 1977 yesterday, man, it was fun and the Sheriff was such a lovely character...
It will never be beat.
This is just gold!!!!

they'll find a way to f it up somehow
Look at what they did the to the CHiPs reboot....
@@medic34758 I can't. I'm afraid to look.
Wonderful memories 😂 such great actors…..
Absolutely brilliant!!
I always find it funny the way Sheriff Buford T Justice holds a cigarette
I think Jackie Gleason smoked in almost all his movies
He smoked 6 packs a day filming Smokey and the Bandit.
Jackie Gleason…..Only the Best!
Too bad nobody can find this clip uncensored.
Jackie Gleason is/was the best comedian going in hot pursuit for his generation.
RIP to two legends
One of the funniest moments on TV of all time!
Jackie Gleason stole the movie he was awesome
Stole the movie? Lol
STOP SMOKING CRACK
@@BobBaker-v9vWhat you on about.
This is awesome! Never seen this before but glad I did!
Legends -- All around
0:54 You don't need any help with that, Buford.
If junior had been there also it would have been great, but still, Mr Gleason stole the show anyhow. Great memories 😌
I wish they had Junior with Burford, holding his hat on.
Yep, I agree.
With looong toilet paper on glasses.
OMG Gleason is GOLD. I mean Buford T.
His last appearance in this role
0:54 Junior doen’t need any help there, Buford.
i bet those 2 are driving the owner of Heaven nuts with there chases
More laughs in 2 mins, than the past 20 yrs. May them all R.I.P.
That’s quality! Burt was genuinely amused.
Buford forever👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Comic genius.
He shoulda said, I finally got you ya Sumbitch
Gleason was incredible!
They are too amazing
He made that show. Without Sheriff Justice there couldn't have been a Bandit. I must have seen the 3 movies 100 times.
The VERY BEST!
There was only one Sheriff Buford T Justice and his name was Jackie Gleason!!!!
GREAT STUFF !
The best days of my life !!
Sum of a Bit....classic
This is comic genius
The GREAT ONE
He is truly golden.
I miss these guys it's hard to believe it's 2025 already 😊😂😂
the only thing that's missing is Bufford's theme when Jackie comes in.
Laughed for an hour
This is a classic....LMAO!!!!
Classic Buford rip burt
Jackie is a legend OMG😂😂😂
One of the absolute best actors to EVER SH1T between a pair of Tenny-shoes!!!!!☝️🤣🤣
Mel Brooks was hysterical laughing!

That's Mitch McConnell.
Turtles live for thousands of years
Only Gleason could pull this off
Would've been perfect had he finally arrested the Bandit!!
That was pretty awesome 😂
That southern accent......Jackie Gleason....fuckin dynamite
Jackie Gleason played that part... wow... Roscoe P Coltrane
Sherrif Roscoe P Coltrane was played by James Best.
41 years later I'm still cracked up laughing...
Is that Dave Thomas from Wendy’s sitting in the background?
Einfach Super
Yo..where was this at. And what was the occasion? #classic
Dude on the left side clearly didn't get the reference.
He never saw the movie obviously.
Just hilarating :) :) :)
1981 not 84
I wish he were facing Burt when he addressed him, though. Would have seemed more natural.
He most likely would not have been able to finish what he said, he was pretty close to losing it already lol.
That's sort of what made it funnier to me when he acted totally oblivious of him like he wasn't standing there. His delivery was great. Miss them both. RIP Burt and Jackie

He clearly called the bandit a sum bitch, they just removed it.
Damn.

Madelyn Kahn would have been great in a "Smokey" movie.
She was good-looking enough too. Man, she would've been a gas in that role.
I think she would of been better than Sally. I loved Madeline.
Who's the stiff over Jackie's right shoulder?
Some people can't laugh, I guess.
