It might be a little morbid but I find these lists fascinating. For starters, some of the memories of these people like Johnny Olson for example, take me back to my childhood. His voice is so synonymous with any day I was home from school and my mother or grandmother would be watching The Price is Right. Others, I wasn't even aware had passed or can't believe it's been as long as it has since they passed. Good job on tastefully compiling the passing of these individuals. They all contributed in some way or another and deserve a remembrance.

Nor morbid at all. It's looking back at those that made a contribution to our lives in one or another. It warms my heart.

I remember, when Johnny Olson died, I was crushed, I remember hearing Johnny’s voice when he announced the classic Goodson-Todman game shows as a little kid. I can remember him starting off with “What is your name please” on To Tell The Truth or, “and away we go” on the Jackie Gleason show from Miami Beach.
The week he died I had plans to go to The Price is Right but they canceled production for a couple days.
I didn’t know Orson Welles and Yul Brynner die the same day.

I was 4 when Johnny Olsen died, and I used to watch Price is Right before going to PM Kindergarten. When his passing was announced at the end of an episode I remember crying and being so upset, and my mother still tells the story of how she had to tell my teacher about it. In reality, as a 4 year old, it was my first experience with death....

Loved Margaret Hamilton she was on an episode of Mr Rogers neighborhood talking about her grandchildren and explaining that the witch was just a part that she played explaining to kids that its nothing to be scared of. What a versatile actress she was Cora for the Maxwell House ads, Grandma Frump Morticias mom in the Addams family, Elaine who worked for Dr. Zorba in 13 Ghosts. Great talent. She seemed like a real nice down to earth lady.

I just watched that episode on Mr Rodgers with Margaret Hamilton. Showing kids there was nothing to be scared of as the Wicked Witch of the West. In your entry of Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart, you have the wrong photo. The photo is of Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy, who has retired, but is still alive, as of the time I write this, in June of 2024.

Interesting how you describe their cause of death.
Aviation incident instead of plane crash and self inflicted gunshot instead of suicide yet on the singing nun (1986 I believe) you called it suicide.

I loved how Ricky Nelson's cause of death was listed as "aviation incident".
Some believe he himself deliberately caused the plane crash. It was a crash, not an incident.

Rick Nelson died in a plane crash on New Year's Eve in 1985 when the heater malfunctioned causing a lot of smoke. He, his girlfriend, and band died from smoke inhalation. The pilot and co-pilot survived. It wasn't Rick Nelson's fault at all.

The year of Thundercats. Why'd you show The Poster for the Crappy 2006 Remake and Not The 1973 Animated Classic for E.B. White's Memoriam. The Final Film of Orson Wells was Transformers: The Movie (1986) he was The Voice of Unicron, The Planet Eater. Yul Brynner is best Remembered as Pharaoh Ramses II in The Ten Commandments.
