    The most interesting and most coherent (imo) Fermi paradox explanation:
    tldr; Extremely big brain aliens must have some understanding we don't about the negative repercussions of effecting the free will of others.
    The Ra Material by L/LResearch (make of it what you will) solves the Fermi Paradox by stating that a being or civilization which has practically infinitely more advanced wisdom and technology could (if they wanted to) easily telepathically communicate with or materialize at any location. As technology doesn't slow down like we seem to think it will.
    A species rising to this magnitude yet not establishing mass unwanted contact with lower species must therefor have a deep knowledge of the fundamental laws of the universe. One of the most fundamental being the Law of Free Will.
    Basically, profoundly influencing the development of an entity or entire species by directly manipulating their free will without the lesser evolved societies calling for it using their own free will, would have some sort of karmic effect on the more evolved species or entity which is undesirable. Kinda like the non-interference objective in startrek plus ancient buddhist ideas about karma.

    i think the schrodingers cat thing was supposed to be taken as an analogy of quantum physics to explain it simply. the definition of 'observe' in the question is not limited to the person outside the box, as 'observe' in physics means 'interact with something' (i think). if a photon bounces off the particle and it goes into your eye and you see it is decayed, schrodinger is trying to say that the act of the photon interacting with the particle is what makes quantum physics 'decide' whether the particle is decayed or not, and by extension, whether the cat is dead or not. the cat would not actually be both dead and alive at the same time if you set up the experiment and tried it, as cats obey normal physics, not quantum physics, because they are not subatomic. what would be both two things at once is the particle, which would be both decayed and not decayed until a particle interacts with it, which is the physics definition of 'being observed' because the particle obeys quantum physics, not normal physics.
    tl;dr the cat is not both dead and alive, it was supposed to be an analogy to make quantum physics and the observation thing easier to understand.

    • @Scrabbl
      @Scrabbl  3 роки тому +1

      Very well explained. Schrödingers cat is only a thought experiment, so it shouldn't be taken literally by default. Plus it's paradoxical, which disconnects it even more from reality. But yeah, you're absolutely right.

    Bro the last one is just wrong and not properly thought out. If you materialized out of nothingness without any memory and without any senses you wouldn't be conscious at all. If you got shutdown of all senses but with a memory then you are aware of yourself.

    • @Scrabbl
      @Scrabbl  3 роки тому +1

      Well, obviously there has been different viewpoints on that subject in philosophy throughout history. If you look closer into the two sides (the ones that think that consciousness arises through the senses and the ones who think that consciousness is always there and is disconnected from the senses), you'll see that both sides would make sense and are well argumented. I myself am leaning more on the empirical side on that subject, that means that the senses do play a major role with consciousness. But really, there is no way to know. We can't carry out experiments like this. So there is no way that we can know for certain.

    I love the TheseShip one. It's like those 80's rock bands that slowly replaced their members until there's no original members left in the band. At which point is it not the original band, and just a cover band using the original name?

    According to the law, you're not legally obligated to save people who are in danger unless if you actually put them into that situation, since rescuing people from danger almost always runs the risk of you putting yourself into danger, which is very bold and admirable, but not expected of you.

    I never understood the doggy one. Wouldn't we just die of thirst first so we would go to the water? And can't water kind of substitute for food? Although at the same time, food can sometimes substitute for water too...

    Monty Hall problem- you are on a game show and there are 3 doors, one has a luxury car behind it and the other two are empty. The host knows which door has the car. First he asks you to choose a door (but not open it yet), then he opens one of the other two doors which doesn't have the car, then offers you the chance to stay with your original choice or switch to the other closed door. What should you do? Is there statistically any benefit of choosing one option over the other or does it not matter?

    i really wanna know what danger music is but i really dont wanna listen to it. is it like music with
    frequencys that gives you headaches like lavandia town?

    • @Scrabbl
      @Scrabbl  3 роки тому +2

      No not at all. It‘s totally safe to research. You can find some videos on youtube explaining what it is. Danger music is in its core, music that is destined to hurt the performer or listener, but not through frequencies. There is for example a band that makes „music“ by throwing stuff around, breaking glass, etc.. So when they play their songs live, they basically throw stuff in the audience and at themself. The video that I showed is a more harmless form of Danger music, since there‘s a chance that the performers vocal chords get hurt by screaming.
