I like how you can see the artist’s thought process on the placement of the hands and other details.
Here’s what they meant to me:
0:32 arm down palm up- feeling of uselessness and helplessness, as if saying “what have I done?”
1:35 arms down- feelings have been completely drained, as if the character has just sat up from an ice bath
1:44 hand on wall- looks like character is staggering in an alley and using the wall as support, as if they’ve just been defeated in a battle
1:55 spikes/metal details on clothing- character looks like a warrior returning from a battle, the spikes give a sense of victory but it seems that the character has paid a heavy cost for it
2:28 crow in hands- there is sacredness to the crow, as if the character drawn sustenance in it
4:26 hand covering another hand- perhaps character is trying to suppress a part of themself, or console it
4:58 hands one chest- self consolation, the character is covered in this black shaggy texture, while it gives a sense of overwhelm, it also looks soft like a rug, perhaps the character has become so accustomed to their darkest feelings it has become the only feeling they are familiar to thus it is also comforting
Anyways, as I said, these r just my own interpretations. Really enjoyed watching the painting process, it let’s us see the amount of creativity behind one piece of artwork.

Your art reminds me of an atmosphere. It's a book called Carmilla. It was written in the 1800's and inspired Dracula. It just gives off that atmosphere.

Итог волшебный, но меня так зацепил процесс, это выглядит реально пугающе и тревожно, когда каждый вариант не завершается а изменяется или стирается совсем, мне кажется в этом так много.. смысла итоговой работы? в-общем, извиняюсь за сумбурный коммент, редко вообще пишу но этот процесс так впечатлил.... спасибо что делитесь таким💜

Emilyena I want you to know I have been a forest hermit for many years. Sometimes I have internet sometimes I don’t. I spend thousands of hours painting traditionally. I have two degrees and I was mentored by a DC Comic artist and a Disney artist.(Jesse Justice and Jan Kays respectfully). You might go unnoticed by the world but I see you. Your work is incredible
