Probably not something you intended, and idk if anyone else had this thought, but I like the idea of Luz being represented by a star and Amity by a moon. The sun is a star, and reflects off the moon which gives it/enhances it's own light, a lil symbolism for Luz coming into Amity's life and helping her shine with some guidance! But also there could be something to do with the tides since the moon affects the water, so maybe Amity could represent a change in the Boiling Isles also maybe a little Mulan reference in there too, I can totally see a human version of Amity loving that movie ^^
I liked how you decided to make Luz's hair alittle more curly, I didn't find out until recently that Luz is actually Afro-lantina, and I like how people are redesigning her with more curly poofy hair :)
That rainbow version of the school uniform is actually pretty cute. It can work as a double meaning towards Luz's queerness and her neurodivergence. Plus, rainbows are still cool 😊

About the Multi-track Luz design, I think it actually works really well that it's weird or awkward even since no one before Luz was multi-track. They wouldn't know how to handle a multi-track uniform yet! All your redesigns are so nice! I've just started watching your videos recently but I've loved everything I've seen so far ^^
Fun fact: fans got mad because luz is canonically Latina (I think) and she has straight hair, so the creators of the owl house gave her and her mom more curly hair at the end and showed a hair straightener in the trash can in the background, implying that they were straightening their hair before. It’s a really cool detail imo

I also really like all of the designs for Amity's hair, especially the final ones, and the sweater in the close up, I just love all your designs and your art style in general.

THAT REMINDS ME! flapjack tattoo! but anyways if you did harpy eda in one along with lilith, lilith would def have a bunch of gifts stored in a chest from hooty and have a couple friendship bracelets from him. I remembered I first watched Owl House that I used to dislike Aminty until I figured out the truth about her. Why she acted the way that she did. Everytime now rewatching the series Aminty really grown on me and now a fav of mine. Your redesigns are amazing and I love all the different outfits! Keep up the good work👍

i like to think this is what the show would look like if it was a graphic novel or manga instead of a cartoon :D the more complex designs just lend themselves so well to the world building, it definitely seems like something Dana herself would come up with if not limited by the fact that multiple people would have to draw it over and over and over for the sake of animation. kudos 💜
Luz's hair actually looks almost identitical to the one she has on the show except in your style tbh, I feel like if you wanted to make it curlier you could add a lot more waviness or poofiness or even like a short 3c hair
I can't describe how happy this video made me (hope it makes sense 'cause my English is not as great as I wish it to be), TOH is my recent hyperfixation and I must say that I love seeing artists interpretations of characters, I love how you did these redesigns, they hold so much of character (again, hope it makes sense) and I can actually see how they could work in the show

i feel like instead of coloring the tunic to show what tracks you're in, you could put patches on the cape (like a girl scouts badge sachet) to symbolize what coven you're in (or a half & half coven symbol/quadrant of covens)

I really liked these redesigns, the base characters are basically the same as in the show but their styles look so much more developed and original, and all these little things representing the story, like Luz's unmatched shoes or Azura merch. I loved that crock, it's so random and matches Luz perfectly XD Also, I get your struggles with the Hexside uniform, the colour coded tracks make it hard to figure out the way to make it look good, especially the mixed tracks, the colours always clash and make the character look like a walking pride flag. You still managed to figure out a way to make it nice. I'd like to see what you'd do with the rest of Hexsquad if you'll decide to make more of them!
