They always had the best scenes with each other. A great example is just 2 scenes later when Kelly and Alex have an emotional scene it was lacking the same strength that this one had. It wasn't the actress who played Kelly that was at fault, it's Chyler. Melissa always brought out something special in Chyler's performances
As much as Kara has helped Alex out of her rough spots, she made the right choice to hand it to Kelly. Alex was very close to emotionally attacking Kara (out of grief, of course!) and Kara knew that sticking around would only ruin their sisterhood. Besides, if Kelly is gonna be Alex’s wife someday, she should be able to handle this.
@@thecrusaderking4835 Honesty I prefer Maggie too, she and Alex were made for each other. Kelly is great too but I don't see the same bound that there were between her and Alex. And Maggie and Alex's relationship just end out of the blue like that for no good reason. I mean Alex wanted child, Maggie didn't, so what? With time things could have changed, the were already married and all, seriously, the writers could have came up with better excuses to remove Maggie from the story, a real couple who loved each other to the point of marriage would never have done that this is all unrealistic! The writer are really terrible sometimes.
Unfortunately, they didn't, but I hope that one day, their incredible talent will be recognized even if it's not in the show 'supergirl' as season 6 will be the last season. I also wish to see them again on the same screen soon. They have such a great chemistry (not in a romantic way, but I think that you got my point.)
It's not like Kara had any control over that fact she lost everything at 13 her parents her friends she went through a lot of trauma as a kid suffered nightmares and panic attacks and being bullied by others that includes Alex she was constantly told she had to hide a part of who she was I'm not saying Alex didn't suffer but it's different and I don't think her parents should have put taking care of Kara on her shoulders at a young age I would have loved to have seen a sister fight from Kara's productive because we never got one because any time they fight Kara just stands there and takes it even though she wants to say things you can tell here
If they address that. They need to address everything. Like why Alex never values her wants and needs. Why she never sticks to her guns and always gives into what her family wants. Why she thinks Kara's life is more valuable and important (Alex said this in 2x19) Like why Alex has it. Because her parents abandoned her and treated her like dirt once Kara came along. Put all the responsibility of Kara on Alex. Blamed Alex for everything Kara said and did. It would be nice to find out why Kara allowed Eliza to keep doing this once she was grown and realized what was going on too. Because if I had a sister, I'd never let anybody treat her like that in my name. If all this is gonna be kept under the rug. I don't wanna heard jack about her drinking. You cannot solve the problem. Without going to the root of it.
@D.N.C Greatness You are right there are many things that I don't understand about Alex's parents too. I get it, they wanted Kara to feel welcomed, well that's understanding; a poor alien who had just lost her whole world and was trapped for years in the phantom zone, that's very noble from them to take care of her and raise her, but they shouldn't have neglected their own daughter! They made her think that Kara was more important than her. Alex, even if she wouldn't admit it, always feels inferior, less important, and even weaker than Kara. Don't get me wrong, I know that Alex loves her baby sister more than anything, however deep down know that she feels jealous of her as a child and even as an adult. And all that wasn't because of Kara or even Alex herself, but because of their parents. They handled the situation poorly and it had huge consequences on both Kara's and Alex's mental health.
Alex angry but I don't think it's really at Kara it's at her parents and I really hope that they deal with that before she becomes a mom I would like to see a sister fight with Kara being the to explode her emotions about their childhood because there are things that Kara doesn't really talk about
A very interesting idea. Not that I like seeing them fight, it literally broke my heart when they do, but there are so many things that they need to sort out about their childhood.

I do think they were good parents. They just really wanted Kara to feel at home on Earth. It was a huuuge adjustment for her. She lost her planet and her parents, she was stuck in the phantom zone, and her only family on Earth is now older then her and doesn’t need her protection anymore. And if you watched the Midvale episode, then you know that Kara struggled with having powers too. Like she said, no one asked her if she wanted those powers when she arrived on Earth. But she has them. And there’s nothing she can do about it but help people. Still, Eliza and Jeremiah thought that because of those powers, Kara needs to be protected. She needed to live a normal human life. And to make Kara understand that, Alex needed to help her. Because after all, they’re almost the same age. And they probably thought that Kara will open up to Alex more.
This is why it's so weird that Kelly still had no idea until season 6 that Kara was Supergirl. She listened to this whole argument but never knew that the reason Jeremiah was trying to protect Kara because she is a Kryptonian & Superman's cousin until Kara ended up trapped in the Phantom Zone is so unbelievable. I mean, what the hell was Alex telling Kelly about Kara? And it also hurts the whole situation because we didn't see Alex tell Kelly. They could have fixed this moment by having Kelly say in that reveal that she suspected as much because of this fight. And again I wonder how things could have been if Kreepsburg was fired before this series started so that maybe Ali Adler would have been in charge the whole time & we wouldn't have had glaring errors like that and probably wouldn't have dragged out keeping it a secret from Lena so long. And they might have actually had real stories for Kara & they wouldn't have had Mon being such a creep.
I feel kara on this its better to just keep it inside and to just walk because like Alex did you end up saying things you dont mean or regret saying because you are hurting thats why i keep all my inner feelings to myself
