Lena is one of the smartest, strongest and most driven female characters to ever grace our screens. Idc what other people might think, in my opinion the writers have done an amazing job with her. She's taught me and I'm sure a few other people, that life gets tough and sometimes you'll have to pick yourself up when it hits you so hard that it throws you off track. Ofc there's that significant touch all actors and/or actresses put into the characters they play, it's like a small piece of themselves. I think I speak for a lot of us when I say Katie has done a magnificent job at playing this character.
Just to be clear, if Lena dies in episode 19, I'm suing. Also, this scene should have been way longer. I hope we get another talk next episode because they can't drag a storyline for 18 episodes and then wrap it up in 2:50 minutes.
Why should Lena die in the last episode? Maybe there are rumors about that? In any case, the show wouldn't be the same without Katie. She is magic, no matter what she does.
vinci brug there have been rumours I think considering that it hasn't been confirmed that Katie would be in the next season. Tbh I'm not sure, maybe she'll be in it or maybe Lena will simply leave or whatever. But I agree, the show wouldn't be the same without her.
That was a powerful moment. Kara opens the door and you can see on her face that she's silently saying 'You are the *very last* person I want to see right now.'
Kara tried her best to fix this thanks to Mixy, but ultimately realized Lena was the one who had to make that choice. And seeing this scene, it felt like Kara was wanting this, maybe even expecting this, even if it wasn’t right this moment, and allowed Lena to say what she needed to say. Kudos to the amazing actresses who pulled off this scene’s emotions perfectly!
Lex made Lena look like an IDIOT. He turned his sister against her real friends. Lena was thinking too much with her head than with heart. Lex only told Lena about Kara just to be dirty.
When Kara opens the door and slow walks back to the chair and then grabs it. TOP ENEERGY. THE END WHERE SHE PULLS OUT THE CHAIR AND SAYS SIT DOWN GOD LIKE TOP ENEERGY
I always knew Lena would come around. Personally, I don’t think she was ever a villain, as she put it. At least, not in the traditional sense, like Lex. She made some poor decisions, but she’s owning up to them, which is something most villains hardly ever do. She also had the misfortune of growing up with Lex & Lillian as her family. Those two are nothing but the cancer in her life. I just wish Kara still believed in her. Instead she’s just giving her that stone cold look, still seeing her as an enemy
Not really, not the enemy, but Kara is mad. And well, is not like Lena didnt betray her (ejem, let Kara paralized on de fortress...). But the most important. Kara lost the hope about Lena coming arround. Now the've lost all the trusth they developed over the years. That must be rebuilt and wont be with a hug.
@@joewhitehead3 I would say the oposite. Lena swallowed her pride, Kara did the same with her anger and dissapointment. She didnt say a thing, just an invitation to sit, that, in my opinion, ment to say without words. " I said I was gonna be here for you, I am but we do have a long way to be where we were.
Joe Whitehead me either, but Kara was still hurt she probably had to build a emotional block around herself, again. I truly think everyone on this show needs to go to Kelly for counseling.
Something I just noticed, Lena can't even look Kara in the eye. Incredible non verbal communication here. Kara doesn't move an inch, keeping her eyes deadlocked on Lena almost in a challenge. In pay confrontations, Lena has raised her chin and stared right back in defiance. This time she looks down to the floor and lowered her chin, it's a sign of submission. Only then did Kara move to let Lena in.
Honestly Katie needs to get her own show after all this time we still talking about Morgana ,she is such an amazing actress she makes you feel what her character is feeling is great.
Idc what anyone says this show would be so much more interesting if they were a couple. Luthor and a Super? Talk about drama. The enemies to friends to lovers slow burn just writes itself. The tension. The lingering stares. The reaction of their family/friends. Then the POWER they would have as a couple. PLEASE, supercorp could be the most superior ship but-😭
Lena saved herself, I really liked that! I just adore Katie McGrath, she really made the most out of that scene Somebody please give her, her own show when SG is finished! Go Watch Katie in Slasher, season one, and be amazed! Wonderful Chemistry between these two as Always!
Yeah because Lena has morals. She lied to herself about why she was doing what she was doing. But her goal was to stop the hurt within herself, she said so in season 6.i don't know what the show had fully planned, but it seems clear to me that just like Lex from Smallville, Lena was the victim of abuse, but unlike Lex, it was from multiple family members and it was constant. Lena came back around because Kara was always there, even when they were fighting, Kara would listen and Lena knew it.
@@joshuagallatin8271 I'm happy that they are going to work together. I predict that Kara is not going to trust her right away or she will at least consult with the other members of "Team Supergirl" considering all that has happened this season. Also I'm sure Lex will try again to manipulate her into siding with him against Supergirl. She will probably be torn somewhat but will ultimately do the right thing and help stop Lex. That's my theory for the season finale.
33 seconds without any talk....a record that tops those amazing Batman silence moments.....then you know that something is not good...way bad.....this scene is louder than many others indeed...well done.
"You were right". She swallowed every ounce of pride to admit that. I truly think she knew that Kara had been right ever since the Kryptonite cannons. I think everything she did after, sacrificing hope, working with Lex instead of Kara after crisis, trying to talk Kara out of using Myriad and ignoring why she was using it, I think all of it was to try and prove to Kara she only wanted to do good. She dug s hole for herself and tight if she could dig out of it, her and Kara could be on equal footing and be okay again. But when she realized she couldn't fix it and that Kara was in danger, she swallowed that pride finally and went back to Kara, where she always should have been. The tears in Lena's eyes when Kara pulls out the chair, Katie deserves an award for that reaction alone, it said so much without actual words. Lena knew in that moment that what Kara was giving her (a chance to explain) was all Kara ever asked for from Lena and Lena denied Kara the chance to ever truly explain. You could see it all over Katie's face, she knew that if she had reacted the way Kara was reacting, she wouldn't have lost her
@pamellazakwe9852 I have often said Lena had every right to her anger. I would have hated if she had done this, but if Lena had just up and left, or simply told Kara "I know who you are" and then cut her out of her life, she would have been totally justified. Kara lied to her for years, basically gaslighted her as Supergirl and then hugged her and said she understands as Kara. I'm not saying Lena was innocent, Kara had her reasons for keeping quiet, Lena was not exactly honest herself, but she did have the right to just cut Kara out of her life for the lying. I would have hated if she did that, but she had the right to do it. But that's not what she did. I often tell my kids, yes she started it, but what your did was so much worse, that's why you're on more trouble. Lena couldn't get her head on straight. She had based so much of her personal values on the fact that Kara Danvers thought she was good. Lena felt like her loss of Supergirl was okay because she still had Kara and Kara thought she was good. Losing that, killed her. She lost site of who she was and refused to see that Kara was still there, saying she's good. It's no accident that Lena couldn't call her Kara, she still cared so very deeply about Kara, that couldn't think of her as Kara, because she can't really hurt Kara. The very first time Lena sees Kara in civilian clothes, she cracks and offers comfort for Jeremiah's death. She hadn't seen Kara as Kara since the fortress, only saw Kara in Supergirls outfit. My point is, Lena lost her moral compass because she placed Kara as her center. Kara still guided her to the right place, never truly letting go. She may have been angry at Lena but the moment Lena was ready, Kara was still there.
Ok, no one hate me, but when I watched this scene, a fanfiction about this entire thing just played in my head. I imagined that what if Lena accidentally cheated on Kara and she came home late feeling guilty and spilled the beans. She then apologizes to Kara to which Kara already had her suspicions and she was upset and furious with her. But, keeping their vows of marriage, Kara decides to hear her out and gives her a chance to explain. She pours her heart out to Kara tells her it was the biggest mistake she’s ever made and that it wouldn’t happen again. Lena cries and feels terrible for what had occurred hours before she came home. Kara doesn’t say anything after Lena explains, she just casually pulls a chair back for Lena to sit. Lena takes a deep breath of relief to have been given a second chance and they talk about what happens next. That’s it. That’s all I got from this entire scene in my head.
Looking at this from the perception as a long time Merlin fan who unrelentingly loved Morgana, and viewing it as the redemption I always hoped she had, makes this incredibly emotional and hits in an entirely different way. Great acting in all contexts and imagined scenarios! Also I swear Katie McGrath does not age and just gets prettier every year.
So no more secrets between them..and they have taken their first step towards their friendship journey..i am all for it....i was waiting the whole season for this...them fighting all the time made me lose interest in the series..
Have you noticed there are sirens? Isn't that the cue for Supergirl? That means she ignored that sign. It was more important for her to hear what Lina had to say to her
Reading the comments , people think that Lena is swallowing her pride just to apologize and admit she was wrong about her brother. People who knows their wrongdoings , and forced to apologize even though they don’t want too. Those are the ones that have to swallow their pride. Nobody forced Lena or herself to apologize admitting she was wrong. She did it because she wants too
She didn't apologize she never apologizes for anything she does ever Kara is the one who ends up being the one does it and she cleans up Lena's messes without so much as a thank you
Funny story the other actress who almost got the role was Lauren German (Chloe from Lucifer). I can promise you that if Lauren had gotten the role, Lena would not have been the huge character that she became.
I dunno why but i got really sad in the scene after this one, where everyone bursts in pointing guns at lena. Like Lena's done so many bad things this season that they thought that Kara was 911 texting them to save her from Lena :(
I'm happy Kara isn't jumping at the chance to forgive her but keeps her demeanor cold. Lena has used people as damn test subjects.. That's not easily forgivable.
Red Tie No, but I think this season open Karas eyes Lena is not innocent as she seems. Everybody knows when Lena does something Kara always seems to think she does no wrong. Very protective of her. She has a weak spot for her.
Kara and William just don't have the chemistry... I am not saying it should be Lena, but it definitely shouldn't be William. Just give her actual chemistry plssss!!!
Daniel Smith yes they are straight but they’ve strong chemistry. writers always say they are just friends and they are straight but they are still writing for them like they’re main couple in this show. they’re doing querbait it’s obvious..
And you wanna tell me that they are just friends right? The love was flowing from them by the way, they looked each other. For love of P, make it happen
On the contrary, I think Kara's behavior was right on point. There was no arrogance in her. Hurt? Yes. Anger? Yes. Arrogance? Not even one bit. That would destroy everything between them. And, frankly, the way Lena has been acting all season, she's lucky Kara didn't slam the door in her face. But she's better than that. And so is Lena, as both exhibited in this scene. Now, the healing can begin.
I don’t think it was arrogance , it was more self-preservation. Kara loves Lena, and as Lena was hurt by Kara’s choices, Kara was also hurt by Lena’s. Kara was protecting her feelings evidenced by the way she crossed her arms in front of her before relenting and offering Lena a chair. Kara wants to trust Lena again, but she has to take it slow given their fallout.
I was still on Lena's side because after all Kara had people who loved her when she came to Earth but all Lena had was the Luthor's I can only imagine how alone she was growing up.
Kara didn’t even fight for lenas soul imo she just pushed harsh ooc words to lena which made Lena fight for her own soul while being manipulated for the whole season. - imo = in my opinion -
She tried, but at some point (after the alternative pasts) she understood. This was Lena's fight, sometimes the best way to help is let people do their own mistakes, and help then facing consecuences.
TF are you talking about?!?! Kara wasn't obligated to fight for or save Lena's soul in the first place. Lena is grown and she made her own decisions. The writers specifically said that this season is gonna be a fight for Lena's soul. They never said that Kara was gonna do it, I do not know where ya'll people complaining got that from.
@@hi-jm9gc I got defensive because the person is pretty much lying. We all know about the SG writers "soul" comment. They said the SEASON was a fight for Lena's soul. Not that Kara would do it. I am tired of seeing Lena worshippers lie to push their narrative. An opinion and a lying are two different things.

@@erisnixx7404 Her sister is already a lesb... It doesnt even make sense for supergirl be a lesb. Am i saying i wouldnt like? Of course not :)
Just to be clear, if Lena dies in episode 19, I'm suing. Also, this scene should have been way longer. I hope we get another talk next episode because they can't drag a storyline for 18 episodes and then wrap it up in 2:50 minutes.
Excellent point.
YeahAmAlice I fully expect it
Colbert Massie You mean for Lena to die ?
That was a powerful moment. Kara opens the door and you can see on her face that she's silently saying 'You are the *very last* person I want to see right now.'
F I N A L L Y. A healthier and stronger friendship is on the waay :) Proud of you for making this important step, Lena!
When Kara opened the door, the look she gave was a dead giveaway of who she was looking at
This is truly a romantic look from Kara and Lena, their expressions are so natural, love speaks through the looks. #supercorp
Katie's acting is fantastic can't wait to see Lena and Kara working together again
No matter what, Lena has been my favorite character for most of the time since her introduction. I'm so glad she seems to be back.
"I have made a terrible mistake."
YOU THINK?!
Lex made Lena look like an IDIOT. He turned his sister against her real friends. Lena was thinking too much with her head than with heart. Lex only told Lena about Kara just to be dirty.
its never too late to change
I like that Lena is fidgeting with her hands in silence just like Kara had done when she apologized way back when at Catco for snapping at Lena.
Cute
Lena is best character in Supergirl change my mind
I doubt anyone would want to change your mind
I agree
Totally true
Agreed
Oh hell to the damn no. Alexandra Danvers is the best character in Supergirl, and you aren't gonna change my mind.
This is music for my ears. This is a good start for them reconnecting again
Katie McGrath acting is AMAZING. Love this girl
When Kara opens the door and slow walks back to the chair and then grabs it. TOP ENEERGY.
THE END WHERE SHE PULLS OUT THE CHAIR AND SAYS SIT DOWN GOD LIKE TOP ENEERGY
God, the chemistry is so strong that the first 30 seconds of COMPLETE SILENCE has so much tension.
Ok but did anyone realize that Lena was the "missing link"?
Oh shittt u right, I just realized that
what do you mean?
wdym please can someone explain it to me I'm a bit slow
@@aptx-ew8gq the episode name is 'The Missing Link'
@@user-hp9jb7kk2x oh I get it now thank youuu
Katie McGrath is a great actress, I love watching her scenes.
incredible acting by katie, its cray to think that she never had any training... this scene and the one in the fortress of solitude left me in awe
Love this scene. Was so hoping Lena and Kara would get thier friendship back online. Great performance by Katie McGrath.
Red Tie Even with Lena coming around, it still looks like Kara has very little hope for her
@@joewhitehead3 I would say the oposite. Lena swallowed her pride, Kara did the same with her anger and dissapointment. She didnt say a thing, just an invitation to sit, that, in my opinion, ment to say without words. " I said I was gonna be here for you, I am but we do have a long way to be where we were.
Red Tie Still though, I didn’t like the way Kara was looking at her
Joe Whitehead me either, but Kara was still hurt she probably had to build a emotional block around herself, again. I truly think everyone on this show needs to go to Kelly for counseling.
Lena finally remember something important: Who are her enemies, but mostly who are her friends
Good Lena and Kara
Something I just noticed, Lena can't even look Kara in the eye. Incredible non verbal communication here. Kara doesn't move an inch, keeping her eyes deadlocked on Lena almost in a challenge. In pay confrontations, Lena has raised her chin and stared right back in defiance. This time she looks down to the floor and lowered her chin, it's a sign of submission. Only then did Kara move to let Lena in.
Hello mini heart attack! Honestly was almost in tears watching this scene. They were happy tears though.
HAHAHAHA I was absolutely balling my eyes out
“You were right”
That hits hard
Honestly Katie needs to get her own show after all this time we still talking about Morgana ,she is such an amazing actress she makes you feel what her character is feeling is great.
I want her in historical show. She always gives me a vibe of queen.
Idc what anyone says this show would be so much more interesting if they were a couple. Luthor and a Super? Talk about drama. The enemies to friends to lovers slow burn just writes itself. The tension. The lingering stares. The reaction of their family/friends. Then the POWER they would have as a couple. PLEASE, supercorp could be the most superior ship but-😭
I love the fact that Kara did not look through the door before opening it
Lena saved herself, I really liked that! I just adore Katie McGrath, she really made the most out of that scene Somebody please give her, her own show when SG is finished! Go Watch Katie in Slasher, season one, and be amazed! Wonderful Chemistry between these two as Always!
I totally agree!
Sad part is that everybody gave up on her and she had to pull herself together alone. But she never stopped to help them even when she was in the dark
This was one of the most heartfelt scene in this season.
I was holding my breath the entire scene.
I am so glad Lena finally apologized to Kara and acknowledged her mistakes. That's growth.
Kara did one thing that Smallville Clark could never do: she was able to repair her friendship with her best friend who happens to be a Luthor...
The way when Lena always fidgets with her hands when she's nervous is really funny.
The way she says sit down is so cute
United we stand
Joshua Gallatin divided we fall
Ryan Gibson but now divided no more
@@joshuagallatin8271 I'm happy that they are going to work together.
If I find out this is just another act. . .I'm getting my infinity gauntlet.
Otakuwolf4ever Katz I know right 🙄
Otakuwolf4ever Katz I hope not, but this time she seemed really genuine
i believe shes being honest this time
@@franklane3420 Call me an "Old-Fashioned DC fan." But I always believe it's best to keep both eyes open with anyone who carries the name "LUTHOR."
Ceikaiyia Cheeks The Director I agree she might’ve reacted in the worst way possible, but she’s still a good person
Finally, Lena sees the real Lex Luthor, a meglomanic psychopathic world dominator who used Crisis to fit his true ambition.
You could see it all over Katie's face, she knew that if she had reacted the way Kara was reacting, she wouldn't have lost her
As they say life is 10% of what happens to you and 90% of how you react to it. Thank you for your beautiful analyses ❤
Lena luthor heal by herself my hero
The chemistry is overflowing and the acting is superb. I love these two❤
And btw, Katie's so beautiful as always😍
I am so proud of lena for telling kara about how she went through
I love how supercorp's apologizing story went to this
Kara apologize
Kara apologize again
Lena apologize
Lena apologize again 😃
Aww Lena looking like a lost puppy when Kara opened the door 🤗
Yess a lost puppy going back to her owner :( I mean lover. Nope, I mean her bestfriend!
Lena: "I am really hoping you would believe me right now. Hey." That hey just made me laugh out loud no idea why.
Well welcome to the program Lena!
So no more secrets between them..and they have taken their first step towards their friendship journey..i am all for it....i was waiting the whole season for this...them fighting all the time made me lose interest in the series..
Honestly, same.
Same! I decided to give up on the show until there was a breakthrough, and now it's finally here!!! 😁
beyondme I actually liked the conflict, but it is good to see that Lena is now trying to make amends.
@@Shevtress At first i liked it too..the conflict was bound to happen..but it went on for far too long..
beyondme Well I mean they stopped focusing on that after 5x13.
So, Lena has FINALLY come to her senses!
Have you noticed there are sirens? Isn't that the cue for Supergirl?
That means she ignored that sign.
It was more important for her to hear what Lina had to say to her
The whole time I watched this part
‘Stop looking at her like that!’
She did it because she wants too
She didn't apologize she never apologizes for anything she does ever Kara is the one who ends up being the one does it and she cleans up Lena's messes without so much as a thank you
I agree. Lena was sincere and remorseful in this scene. She realized who her true friends are and how manipulative Lex was.
I honestly wonder if I would love Lena as much if Katie wasn’t playing her. Love her ❤
Funny story the other actress who almost got the role was Lauren German (Chloe from Lucifer). I can promise you that if Lauren had gotten the role, Lena would not have been the huge character that she became.
The way I screamed when the door opened while watching this live
I dunno why but i got really sad in the scene after this one, where everyone bursts in pointing guns at lena. Like Lena's done so many bad things this season that they thought that Kara was 911 texting them to save her from Lena :(
0:35 “I have made a terrible mistake”
You just released it
???
I'm happy Kara isn't jumping at the chance to forgive her but keeps her demeanor cold. Lena has used people as damn test subjects.. That's not easily forgivable.
Does Kara know's about that?
Red Tie No, but I think this season open Karas eyes Lena is not innocent as she seems. Everybody knows when Lena does something Kara always seems to think she does no wrong. Very protective of her. She has a weak spot for her.
It would be nice to see her called out on that at least.
You know you're invested in a relationship when you just want to see two characters hug again.
I don’t even ship them I just want to see them as friends again
Is anyone mad at the fact if Kara and William never were a thing this could of been prefect opportunity moving forward for supercorp
Are they a thing....? I really hope that they remove him and all the other characters that just don't work...
Both the characters are canonically straight just deal with different relationships
Kara and William just don't have the chemistry... I am not saying it should be Lena, but it definitely shouldn't be William. Just give her actual chemistry plssss!!!
Daniel Smith just let people ship what they want, it’s not hurting you
Daniel Smith yes they are straight but they’ve strong chemistry. writers always say they are just friends and they are straight but they are still writing for them like they’re main couple in this show. they’re doing querbait it’s obvious..
And you wanna tell me that they are just friends right? The love was flowing from them by the way, they looked each other. For love of P, make it happen

Shhhhh Lena ... you had us at "hello" aka as soon as you opened your perfect mouth
I've been waiting for this moment to come for so long. Welcome back Lena!😊
Lena Luthor is a brilliant character. Exciting to see Lena acknowledging that she was wrong, I just didn't like Kara's arrogant manner
@@dacarial3063 Accurate
Kara's kind of arrogant anyway so I really didn't expect her to be otherwise.
@@denisetidwell3425 Kara was hurt by Lena. Kara was only protecting her.
I was still on Lena's side because after all Kara had people who loved her when she came to Earth but all Lena had was the Luthor's I can only imagine how alone she was growing up.
Lena is certainly not her brother
Not by a long shot
The redemption arc us Merlin fans were so cruelly denied
Melissa really has a strong presence...
To quote a line from my favorite movie franchises about time travel, "This is HEAVY!"
Kara didn’t even fight for lenas soul imo she just pushed harsh ooc words to lena which made Lena fight for her own soul while being manipulated for the whole season.
- imo = in my opinion -
kara tried her hardest. she tried everything she could. what else did you want her to do
She tried, but at some point (after the alternative pasts) she understood.
D.N.C. Greatness chill the person literally said that it’s her opinion, no need to get defensive over it
@@hi-jm9gc I got defensive because the person is pretty much lying. We all know about the SG writers "soul" comment. They said the SEASON was a fight for Lena's soul. Not that Kara would do it. I am tired of seeing Lena worshippers lie to push their narrative. An opinion and a lying are two different things.
Finally! It was gut wrenching to watch all those episodes after their fall out.
Lex season 4: while the rest of the family stays steadily in darkness you will always fall into the light
