Why wasn't she aware enough to keep a distance between herself and the man in the field? So many women/girls seem to think nothing will ever happen and don't speed up or get into the middle of the road to ascertain whether they are being targeted.
22:55 DS Jacqui Hames: "Kevin Eric Michael Mantel, he is 41! But he does look older" Looks older! 41 he looks more like 81! Where was his daily paper round Land's End to John o' Groats?
41? Laughing hes at least in his 60s white receeding hair at 41? 61 if not a few days more....Or one hell or a hard 41 years and wears every tough year...On his face.
DCI Jeanette Joyce would be back on Crimewatch in two months regarding the murder of another Glaswegian, Caroline Glachan, who was also murdered in the summer of 1996 and, like the murder of Jackie Gallagher, is also an unsolved crime.
it's strange watching these and seeing how different things were back then..cigarettes openly on sale, the way people were described such as in physical appearance, which wouldn't be allowed now on television. So sad that many offenders aren't ever apprehended - hopefully looking at cold cases now, with the advent of DNA progression, criminals are caught and brought to justice.
Many of the crimes wouldn't feature today as police wouldn't have resources to investigate, i.e., petty thefts and fraud! We'd no doubt see instead wanted criminals who've misgendered others or who've told too many thruthbombs via Facebook, etc!

Ridiculous that women have to risk their safety and lives. And not monitored as such in the sex industry. Too many risks and it could end up being anyone's daughter. Monsters out there. RIP Jacqueline. Bless you and your family.
Tbh that was *EXACTLY* who I thought he looked like. In _fact,_ I thought it actually WAS him (before he became famous). Definitely not a stretch when one legitimately believes that it actually IS that person - even for a split second.
The attacker in the field was messed up and creepy af. I'm surprised i didn't remember that one from back in the day. That poor girl being assaulted by that thing ugh
@lukewilly plus they would put a lot of British people on they were looking for that hadn't done anything that bad compared to other people. Almost like we are looking for jim he is wanted after he didn't pay his tv licence
That guy in the field reconstruction was way creepy.

Even more creepy when you hear the description of his skin & his odour! That poor girl. Must have been a really vile experience for her😢

The ages are always so out! Did everyone just look really old in the 80/90’s? They had a guy that looked about 40 and they said he was late teens 😂😂
Jackie Gallagher rip

Yes, and indeed just today three people trial has started for the murder of Caroline has started in Glasgow. Hopefully she gets justice.
Convicted today

Yes, and why cast a "tramp" is a nicely ironed and clean shirt? Was he really wandering around in boxer shorts?
I know. Was so scary.

The definition of “crystal clear” has changed over the years, no pun intended.
Strange to see if all these offenders were caught they would be out of prison now and probably doing the same shit
39:11 does she call Jill, Julie?
Jill Dando was murdered wasn't she
Sadly she was,I don’t believe they ever found her actual killer. A man had been sentenced for her murder but he was a vulnerable person.

Still do. Many people in the reconstructions were actual witnesses on the day of the crime not actors, Some were the victims themselves?
