I really want to highlight how thoughtful some of the discussion here was, in particular Connor’s comment on how “this is how we get racism” when talking about these looksmaxing videos. Not that is is literally racism, but that it underscores the inherent insecurities and fears that drive so much of our behavior. Many of the people making this content are purely doing it for selfish reasons, such as self validation and vanity. As much as it sucks, people often do that by putting down others. It is perfectly fine to not find somebody attractive of course, but so much of this content is just insecure validation drivel. That insecurity is the root of so many evils. I hope this doesn’t sound like I’m smelling my own farts, really just wanted to get my thoughts out there.
It’s called lookism. the normies don’t know about this, but looksmaxxing originated on incel forums.
@@acraze2287 that definitely wouldn’t surprise me, seems like that community is a festering pit for this stuff. What frustrates me though is people seem to stop at incels being the cause, rather than just another affect. TBH I kinda don’t like using the word, because I think it’s a group of young men who are having a lot of trouble with modern society turning its back on them (or at least that’s how it looks to them). Society has made so many leaps, but much of that has been by shunning toxic behavior of the past. The only issue is, we didn’t make any really effort to give men a new idea of what to look up to. So now we have all these dudes with mixed feelings about what it means to be a man. Still being held to certain male traditions when it is convenient for others, while being told other thoughts/feelings makes them a disgusting incel. Sorry for the paragraph, but I really think this will be a big problem of our generation, and requires more active thought.
“Selfish reasons” is stupid. You can’t expect other people to stop feeling good about themselves bc it makes you insecure. Take it up with your therapist, not strangers

@@michaelt5459the thing is this whole situation is happening because men have had power and control for so freaking long that when women started taking theirs back, the men suddenly didn’t have any reason to get out in the world and do something to help themselves. So many men still feel entitled to a wife and kids just because they have a job and money. Which before the women’s right movement was exactly the case. Anyone could get married no matter what as long as they can have a job and support a family because women had no choice. Now that they do and get to be picky and many are picking to not get married at all, men are starting to go a bit crazy and believe that we are the root of all their problems when the real cause is that they feel entitled to something that’s not theirs and has never been theirs.
Can relate to how Garnt studies. It's a good short term technique for stuff like exams, but the downside is it never sticks long term. The moment after finals and the semester ends, everything I learned just leaves my head.
100% this, I do both but mostly what Garnt does (not last day tho, Idk what kind of exams he had, but mine require a little more time to prepare for lol, I can't stay 20 hours studying in a single day) and when I do, I hardly retain any knowledge, and I think it definitely shows on Trash taste: Joey clearly is the one that on quizzes shows to be the one who remember the most of the knowledge learned in school, while Garnt doesn't seem to remember anything more often than not (Connor is kind of a wild card 'cause he's both, but I think the things he does know he didn't learn in school, but on some video or documentary lol)
My god Joey almost sounded like THAT guy, who quizes you on the band members birthmark on their left buttcheck and the name of all the band members dogs when they were 5, to be real though I can see thinking you have found a topic to break the ice and someone to relate to and being let down, just hoping he isn't a snob about it, I purposefully don't get band shirts because I feel like I'm not the biggest fan out there and will probably get grilled by some asshat

As a kid a lot of my band shirts started as just hand me downs! And my dad was literally in a cover band for all of them. U never know why someone does anything.

I have braces and my orthodontist actualy said that the tongue should be resting on your roof, because it makes the right jaw alignment and it should be the resting pose for it. Maby its different in other places🤔

Im not sure thats right. Im born and raised in the states and I rest my tongue flat on the roof of my mouth. Its because Im pertetually thirsty no matter how much water/tea I drink.

For me, it rests both on the roof of my mouth and the bottom. Idk, maybe my tongue is just swollen, but it seems like there's not enough space in there to make a choice (unless I don't let my teeth touch). If I leave my jaw hanging just a little, then half my tongue is on the roof of my mouth and the other half is just in the empty space during rest.

yes, your tongue is supposed to be up when it's resting, which i found out at some point in my life... unless your teeth are misaligned or something. like mine were before a surgery. talking to doctors made me realize that mine was always down and that it's not normal.

not really a girl can be overweight and no one cares. there obese women who are considered attractive IE Lizzo and Adele when prior to her weight loss. almost every my 1000 pound life the woman has a man. Name one overweight man who is considered attractive by mainstream media. the notion of a dad bod by women is a flat chested man in between cycles.

Personally I think that most men would accept most women. Some dudes know they are ugly and want what they can get. Dudes fantasize about their ideal lady, but usually they can accept reality.
Can the same be said about women? (I’d argue they usually have high standards that men simply must be born with and cannot achieve from natural work)
