Can't believe I'm only hearing this incredible performance today, just awesome
same .....day after you. 🙂
I bought Live at Last when it first came out. It was my first taste of what they sounded like live. As raw as it sounded back then, I still love it to this day. Sabbath Forever! Whose with it in 2024?
Awesome band. Was this the same one as I bought as it spells Ozzy as Ossie?
@dave2870 Yes, it was. You probably already know that it was originally a money grab by one of their former managers. It wasn't officially sanctioned by the band until recently. With that said, you know if you have an original copy by that incorrect spelling of Ozzie.
Oh, you're so unlucky. I saw them 3x in Sydney's Hordon Pavillion 73 74 & 77 or 78..can't remember if it was 77 or 78 now but Ozzy was there everytime. You don't get better than this live!~
@jasondalton-earls9972 Here's the thing. I wasn't in my teenage years yet during the times you mentioned. The first time I was able to see them was when Ian Gillan was with them. No matter, since I did get to see the originals in 1999, when they toured, so I have at least one memory that I can point to.
If you like Black Sabbath jams, check out the "Live in Asbury Park 1975" AKA "The Legendary Sound Board Tapes" bootleg from the Sabotage World Tour. A Sabra Cadabra, Supernaut, Iron Man and Orchid jam, including "Sometimes I'm Happy" and "Rock "N' Roll Doctor", 40 minutes of Tony and Bill awesomeness including cowbell. The only thing missing was a Geezer solo a la Cliff Burton.
Grate song love sabbath
Thank you very much! Will check out.
That show ( the legendary soundboard tapes '75) is ridiculously good! Whoever engineered that recording knew what he was doing... Ward's kick is thunderous and the overall sound of the kit is amazing. I wish Tony's guitar sounded that good any time I saw Sabbath.
Sweet, thanks! Will do ! So many live gems - such an awesome band
Asbury Park sounds even better on the Sabotage Super Deluxe..all of the solos are unedited .....this monumental jam is remastered in it's unedited entirety blowing away the Live at Last release....
At certain parts, this sounds like a jazz album. Iommi's influences are really diverse here and that's what makes Sabbath so great!
Originally Sabbath was EARTH and started out playing jazz & Blues covers and Bill Ward always considered himself a Jazz drummer and that was his biggest influences.
Their classic sledge hammer riffs were iconic. Some of the very best from back then.
But Iommi still allowed that blues soul in his live shows to shine.
When he showed it off...it was pure magic.
A truly versatile guitarist.
bill ward was hugely influenced , by count basie's drummer !!!
I think this was influenced by the who live at leeds
All the best rock drummers were jazz influenced.
12:50 Jazz starts here. Black Sabbath is the greatest band in history.
Had this cassette tape, 12 years old, Ozzy became my rebellious inspiration, his voice made me want to be even more mischievous and nonconf6
he is flying through the solo on this song holy shit
Damn! Haven’t heard this in like 17 years! Used to listen to my copy of Live at Last cranked while drinking cases of Budweiser with my loyal German Shepherd during a nasty divorce. In the end the wench got the house but I kept the dog and the Sabbath. Clearly, I came out on top!
nothin beats dogs but beer sabbath and dogs.i had a shepard for 14 yrs too.
Sincretismo de alta pureza...toda la musica puesta en la mesa...brillantes musicos.
These guys are so tight it's so cool how many different ranges of music they just played in this one little jam
Blues jazz Doom metal rock and roll classical on and on
I've always loved the way the blues and jazz is incorporated into all their music especially first few albums
Played with a high level of fluency
THANK YOU
BLACK SABBATH
Real Deal
51Yrs ago...no one done it better since
If wicked world was on vol 4. Kickass
CLASSIC SABBATH MAN
best Rock drummer ever
Um….no. Good but not even close to being gathered best.
@@nxne75why not?
Definitely one of the greats. It's a shame Bill never received the same accolades as John Bonham, Keith Moon, Mitch Mitchell, Ian Paice, etc. He was definitely on their level IMO.
@nxne75 you're an r word
This wonderful ! Icons ! Great 👍
There really is no better band l used to live by forest preserve along Des plaines river a few small graveyards along higgens road in the woods I would go in alone at night at like 2 in morning tripping on acid with my 90's headphones when I was like 14 and just sit on ancient tombstones truly absorbing life's dark corners John Wayne gacys old house was a few blocks away and I knew some poor 70's kids were still bones in the river next to me
Had this on vinyl. Amended version. Nothing like adding another genre to they’re resume. Doom jazz tuned down to C#
Ole guitar plug and play folks like me appreciate this. Git what ya git. Excellent recording 👏
This kicks ass.
Love the 10:00 reentry from solo. Toni's guitar, then Ward, and then Geezer with the bass. They probably did that 10,000 times in bar jams in the early days.
THE MOST EPIC JAM.
On the Sabotage tour Asbury Park 1975 show they performed a jam after Sabbra Cadabra called “A Crumpled Knight’s Vow” and let me tell you I get the chills EVERYTIME I play it and it’s only less than a minute. Check it out!!!
@@irvingsoto9339 I am typing it in in one second
@@irvingsoto9339 Holy Shit!! Thanks for the jam. Iommi of course still is exceptional now, but 1975 he had to have been in his prime, with youthful energy and years of experience
@@321ssteeeeevethink this is 1973
And people say Ozzy didn't have a voice. PSHH. He's an awesome singer!
i kno right?, never understood what was wrong with them people myself, i completely agree with you man, but wow dont this set fcukin rock buddy i love everyone of these guys with all my soul!!!
genius
BS´s 70s records are fuckin interesting as hell and this audio is very enjoyable,at least.
This is wonderful thanks for posting 😊
woh , what a maestria !!!
This jams, but they sound really stoned. They smoked some really heavy dope. This band can change tempo and feel on a dime and the jazz influence is so prevalent. Sabbath is great because they never lost sight of that pocket groove. It’s almost unfair that one band got a rhythm section like Ward and Butler. Tony Iommi for guitar shredder, and Ozzy as frontman and singer. Bill Ward is very underrated on drums. The hard rock groove master.👍😎
It's fucking criminal how much bill ward gets looked over. He's my favorite of all time. Everything he did was fucking silky smooth.
Wards drumming is unique he also a great singer
New Wake Up Jam !!!!!! Thank You...
Have fun :-)
Also nice to drift off to sleep...
Def hitting the roots of Earth 🌍 here
That jazzy solo is one of my favorite guitar solos of all time from anybody.. another is Jimmy Page's extended solo on "No Quarter" from the live "Song Remains The Same" album.. those are actually prob my two favorite guitar solos of all time.. so good
I saw them 3x in Sydney's Horden Pavillion 73 74 & 77 or 78..can't remember if it was 77 or 78 now but Ozzy was there everytime. You don't get better than this live!~
One jam to rule them all! The Godjamn!
"Wicked World" (A medley/jam that contains parts of "Into the Void", "Sometimes I'm Happy", "Supernaut" and a drum solo; transitions back into "Wicked World". Only "Wicked World" is listed on the sleeve and label.)
Blues!
The whole thing is eight minutes longer than the Live At Last one.
Great album
First ever Sabbath song baby! Where's those aged narcistic hipsters to let me in on all the similar metal that came before?
The long one where 'Toney's' English Chamber Music of horrors upstages Elvin Jones into John Lee Hooker-esque doom blues riffery with a wring of that neck and tip o' the hat to Les Paul screaming from a death mask into a jam of happiness sometimes... Guess what?!
I think this band might make it!!!!!!;!!;;;;
Sabathhh foreverrrrr
10:30 is absolute fire
Damn imagine they recorded it like this initially
Bill Ward was no Vegan when he was shredding those drums on this track! The man needed raw meat to play this stuff! The whole band, even the hippie Geezer needed their protein for this kind of playing.
Nothing is new under the sun
03:45 TONY!!!
❤ブラックサバス❤最高❤
Silply, the best.
There music made metal
Para estar despiertos amigos.
same version as from "Live at Last" ??
the goods!!
何処かで聴いたと思ったら、40年程前にリリースされた「Live at Last」に収録されていた。
What is being played after the two Wicked world verses ? around 2:27. It s a short jammy section with some singing from ozzy, i can't really understand the lyrics, so damn groovy tho
Good question, honestly i don't know...
I believe it's called "sometimes I'm happy".. they've played it in numerous Wicked world jams.
This was unreleased though, but was incorporated into the ending of the song called symptom of the universe..
@@sandipbiswas766 Isn't sometimes i'm happy played at the end, after all the solos/jams/bit? At 17:05. I'm talking about the break at 2:27. It's very short, you got the that riff and then ozzy comes with some vocals. Then, they are back again into the second verse of wicked world (so that would make it the third verse, but its the same lyrics as the second). Is that just an added part for wicked world that they came up with later ? That's what I'm asking. Because i have never heard it being played somewhere else other than this live recording. The riff and pace on it are awesome, but i can't really understand all of ozzy's lyrics on it
Thay wrote allternet lyrics for a lot of songs
found the lyrics for that bit:
I don’t know whether it is worth all
For whatever trouble I got in my mind
Everybody’s running around in circles
Running ‘round everyday as if they’re blind
The first 5 minutes of the song are the same from that concert Live at Last, but then it’s a completely different show, idk how, but this includes Orchid, also the mini song at 10:00 is not included in the Live at Last, but it finishes as it was the Live at Last show 😂
It's not a different show, the live at last version is edited and has parts cut off.
Muito bom
Turns into a Dead show at 14:00
Kidding!
3:53
Sounds medieval
12:32 Jazz Sabbath is best Sabbath
5:18
Clássico
😎👍😉🤟🎼☠🖤🍻 Smile. \m/ ' [-_-] ' \m/....Bye... Bottoms up and cheers... Stay loud, stay proud, stay heavy. Take care, and be safe ....... #Adanporsiempre ......
Tony was Alvin Lee fast. God damn, boy!
Alvin Lee was faster, but Tony more creative.. by far
Earth were playing with Ten Years After at Henry's Blues House in August 69 when they changed their name to Black Sabbath. Alvin Lee told Tony Iommi not to do it. Look what happened!
12:50 Jazz Sabbath
Bill ward is the best
Ozzy, geezer, Tony, and ward, the best, byw, ward would have been a great replacement for bohnam, zep
Cleaned up Live At Last version...I guess they all caved in and accepted that the thing they didn't want to release originally was well liked by fans. In the early 2000's they bought the rights to Live At Last. Now the sound is polished. 1980 Live At Last, the sound was pretty lousy for a live album from a top tier rock band.

Ozzy is fantastick
Thay were on their game ozzy was holding on to his addiction
N mental illness
I'm not worthy chief
Very disappointed Tony didn't dip into Neon Knights
Bill Ward is a Vegan. Geezer is a Vegan. I am a Vegan. are you a Vegan? love all animals!!!
Apology acceptance rate is very high
