      I remember watching this game when I was 13 (my parents were Dolphins fans). Wasn't nearly as much of a football fanatic as I am today, but even then I knew this Saints team was special. Pretty sure my Dad almost broke the TV that day tho.

    Ill never forget this afternoon! My uncle is a huge Saints fan an i remember him in his room screaming run boy run 🏃‍♂️ and my other uncle who hated the saints drove to our house and i remember it was like 3rd quarter he didn't even knock he just walked in and said they muthafuckas going down today.     Games like this are part of why I don't understand the arm talent argument people use against guys like Tom Brady. How many "impressive throws" did Brees make in this game? A couple?
    Impressive throws aren't what make QBs good in this league. The ability to lead drives, minimize mistakes, and make plays when it matters are what matters. That's why guys like Brees and Brady are in the GOAT discussion.

      true. i was in attendence, and I had all but conceeded the game to all of the Dolphins fans around me. strangely enough, as soon as I accepted my "fate", the Saints turned it around and then it got awfully quiet there in Landshark Stadium (at the time).

    I remember this game in '09. It was a great test to see if my Saints had what it took to face adversity & overcome it. It was a great early test for them that helped fuel them (this & the Redskins game) to the Superbowl later in Miami. I'm always a little conflicted whenever the Saints play the Dolphins since I like them as well due to Marino. I hate he never was able to get back to the "Big Dance" & win one. Who Dat but much love to the Dolphins & their diehard fans!

      @@dolphinsneu Ok. If you take away that ONE TD, the final score is 39-34. The Saints were scoring at will on the Dolphins in that second half. Shockey was damn near unstoppable. You can't equate the Rams championship debacle with a first half "missed" call. Apples and oranges.

    I remember having to work and not being able to watch this game. At break I was texting my brother and he was like I guess we are gonna lose this 1. It was 24-3 just before half. Then to come home and turn on Sport Center... I couldnt believe it. I've watched the highlights of this game more than the Super Bowl.

      @@shadyshady2463 Nope, this was definitely not only a historic "a" game by Brees, but a team effort and no one carried anyone .
      He also not only managed to help bring his team out of a 20 point deficit, but also managed to drop 46 burgers on Miami's defense after having just 3 points on the scoreboard.
      Those are the reasons why i say this was his best "clutch" performance.
      There were no other games where the Saints were blown out and Brees were able to come back to outscore a opponent and win big.

      @@saint5578 you're not gonna find a bigger brees fan than me. He's the GOAT but this was not near his clutches game. He's had at least 3 or 4 in the last couple seasons more clutch than this. Case and point his game vs Redskins in 2017 down 2 touchdowns with 5 mins left

    Devery Henderson is underrated . There was about 4 or 5 years when he was one of the most dangerous deep threats in the league . If you go back and look Drew’s long touchdown passes a lot of them were to Henderson
