Thanks for the tip; I found your video at the perfect moment, as I put my Stihl 193T back together with the coil tight up against the magneto and when I went to pull the start cord, it wouldn’t budge to my surprise!
Very nice. Before watching this I simply put my coil to the farthest distance and tightenen the screws. Ignorance. When I started it (and it did start) it reved and stopped. Thanks for sharing. I'll go out and adjust it. .
IGNITION. All engines are equipped with an electronic ignition system. The ignition coil and electronic circuitry are contained in a one piece ignition module (10-Fig. MC130), which is serviced as a unit assembly. Air gap between the flywheel mag-nets and the laminated legs of the module should be 0.010-0.015 in. (0.25-0.38mm). Loosen ignition module mounting screws and move module to obtain desired air gap. If air gap is excessive, engine may bie hard to start or may not start.
You confirmed the gap I haven’t had to adjust one in decades and I was thinking it was a business card. Thanks
Excellent video. Its a shame 19k+ views and only 124 likes….. very thankful
