Treat all your tables like one big party. As soon as they sit down tell them you’ll be right over with them, that gives you xtra 3 mins while you do something else. It still counts as a greet.
The fact that you are so handsome, especially in your nice, black suit helps ❤️ Having a server that takes pride in their appearance goes a long way. These days, it appears servers do not care one bit. About their appearance! Their attitude! Or their ability to serve a table properly! 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
When it comes to topping wine glasses up, what if they’re trying to take their time or save the bottle? Would you recommend always asking before pouring?
@@waitertheresmore For sure thank you !! We could learn so much from you and your channel !! To start maybe you could make a video telling us whats your name , where do you work ? ( which Country-City) , Do you have social media ? . About the different subjects maybe you could make a list since the very begining ....how to approach an interview trying to get a job as a server until the best way to be promoted to a very positions ( like a manager ) or better restaurants ( fine dinning etc ) Thank You !!
No server should just pour without asking permission from the customer! Also, while I’m not a smoker, I think it would be weird a waiter was watching me that closely to know he would need to get me a lighter. That would make me uncomfortable being watched by my EVERY little move.
ooh yes. glad i click this video.. now i put the hair gel i am sure that will 10x my tips like the thumbnail say..... i mean its a good video but the thumbnail is a bit wack
hahaha, yeah I agree. It seems dumb. But let's run the numbers. Your current job pays 45 dollars in tips per day. You watch my videos (all of them) and implement the advice. You now feel that your job is holding you back so you look for a new job with your new skills and dapper style at an ambitious restaurant and you start making 450 dollars a day in tips. You do 3 tables per sitting tables with 3 sittings per shift with each table spending 1000 dollars on average and you scoring 5% from every table.
When bringing the customer change eyeball the Bill or bills you want then rip, crumple & possibly even stain your bill(s) again that you want to get as a tip & 9 times out of 10 that's what they will leave on the table. Your welcome. 😎
Where do terraces allow smoking ? Lighting someone’s cigarette would be a liability to the business. Where I come from they have banned smoking since 1995.
Good suggestions But totally unless when you handle British people who nowadays they don’t even know the difference between bring the food and provide an excellent service. They pay that 12.5 % of service charge which that amount it doesn’t go straight to the waiter but it will be spilt among the entire team of the restaurant ( chefs included). They give everything for granted and slowly slowly this job is becoming very flat and poor of ambition. Because it doesn’t matter what you do or offer for them You pay the service and that’s it my friend
I underatand. I used to work in london. Some places are exactly like you describe… but many places are great to work in and have better guests. So the goal is to give you enough knowledge so that you can work in a place where you feel great going to work. We plan to start an online academy and some of the courses will cover how to write your cv and how to be during interviews so that you can get better jobs.
Thankyou so much, I have a trial shift for my first waitress job tomorrow, I've only ever been in the kitchen so this really helps.
Im happy to help!
Good luck tomorrow!
How'd it go😅
Can you do a video on how to keep being organized when you have a lot of tables please thank you
Do you work with a digital cash register with tables inside the software or do you mainly work with pen and paper?
I have the same question in my case we have a software not paper and pen
@@waitertheresmorepen and paper only

I would say that presentation trumps skill any day of the week
When it comes to topping wine glasses up, what if they’re trying to take their time or save the bottle? Would you recommend always asking before pouring?
The guest will then politely cover their wine glass with their hand.
Or just simply say no.
No need to ask every time. 😄
Thanks so much
Will you be uploading more videos? Thank you again!
I have schedueled to record in 2 weeks.
Is there any topic in particular that you’d like me to talk about?
@@waitertheresmore Amazing. Maybe scripts/suggested phrasing to use in fine dining for taking orders, quality checks, upselling, etc.
@@quanaalexander742 We just finished recording a video about you requested topic. Coming out next week! 😄

That’s literally like saying they shouldn’t know you need a refill
@@klutchpaxx9249 You don’t know if I want a refill or not unless either you ask or I tell you.
