I understand people’s dislike for revoltech spidey, compared to the others he’s not the most immersive looking, you can tell he’s an action figure and some, like the mafex, could be mistaken for a small statue. However, I feel like the revoltech captures the essence of spidey real well, in some frames in his comics he’s got a crazy lean anatomy and they did that real well here.

The thumbnail says it all, honestly. Only the yamaguchi can really do those insane poses that spider-man does in the comics. As pretty as the MAFEX is, it comes up short in swinging, crawling, brawling, and pretty much everything that isn't standing stock still.
I disagree personally, revoltech sacrificed to much of the sculpt for articulation, while Mafex has the perfect balance. I do respect your opinion tho.
Honestly revoltech is the best when it's displayed in dynamic poses and since I never display my figures just standing it's the perfect fit for me
Same! I can respect other’s opinions, when my Deadpool came in my little cousin told me he thought the ball shaped revolver joints made it look bad which I respect, but I can play and pose an amazing Yamahaguchi fig for a while without any fears of breaking anything
Man I wish I had the MAFEX one, it’s pretty much the perfect Spider-Man in my eyes (Maybe with the blue on the legs tweaked a little bit), if I had the money and space for it. One day...

Well the best spiderman fig is amazing yamaguchi for poseable and Crazy poses buf if you like a normal fig with good articulations mafex amazing spiderman if you just one to display buy both of them🕸️🕷️
It’s almost impossible to find a real Mafex Spider-Man figure for a reasonable price these days online? I think I come across a lot of fakes so I don’t buy it. Probably have to wait and see if they ever release another one from a trusted toy site. 😑

Awesome list and great video. I mostly agree with the entire list. I do wish you could’ve included Mafex 001 The Amazing Spider-Man. It was there first attempt in the 1/12 scale and they really nailed it. Cheers my friend. 🎉

Mafex is by far the best 6 inch version to ever come out as far as this style. The next closest one is the 2004 Mcfarlane version which I still have. The Mafex version looks more like a poseable statue in person while the others here look like toys. It also shares a lot in common with the Mcfarlane one though it's bulkier and not as poseable in the abs. The Mcfarlane version can get pretty close to that crouch pose too. The Pizza Legends one is as glossy as the old animated Toy Biz line. Mafex is like an updated version of the Mcfarlane one. Amazing how Toy Biz still made some of the best Spidermans ever. Certain ones still hold up all these years later.
The Revoltech one looks like something Mysterio would do to Spider-Man in an illusion. Good god is that thing nightmarish looking.
I might go for the repaint version Mafex is doing later on this year as I like the blue on that one much better. Though, I really really want someone to give us a classic Spidey costume that includes the web wings.
Sentinel Series 1st appearance Spiderman by Toybiz have the web wings. Fully posable even the fingers.
The ToyBiz figure also looks like a deformed monkey. Not a fan of posseable fingers either on 6 inch figures. Just give me alternate hands that are sculpted.
I want to personally get the Spider Man Classics Toybiz, Legends, and Revoltech ones because those are the ones that appeal to me

question. doe sthat younger spider-man at 2:11 can swap head with the ditko spider-man ? i know the reds are different i mean the peg articulation on the neck, cos that would be the perfect spider-man to custom a classic ditko, also what is the name of that figure ?
You should do a similar video on which figure pulls off better poses. Not just functionally but how they look when exposing joints and other flaws like that.

Revoltech Spider-Man is much better than I could have expected. Yes the joints are weird but if you do it right he can have a good vanilla pose. You can ignore the joints if you do it right. Mafex 075 Spider-Man is pretty rad hoping to get it soon. Also you didn’t mention the great accessories and different eyes the revoltech comes with.

I would agree with you that the MAFEX Comic Spider-Man figure is definitely the king. I am excited that they are re-releasing it with the more accurate comic book colors because I feel like that was the main flaw on the original release. I believe the figure actually retails for $94.99 so at that price point there shouldn't be any flaws lol. I am definitely picking up the re-release. No doubt about that. My second favorite figure in your video review would be the McFarlane Raft Spider-Man figure that uses the Pizza Spidey body mold, but with the darker paint deco and larger eyes. Good figure comparison. Keep up the good work!

I totally agree with your list, even though I only have the 1/6 version of Pizza Spider from Hasbro. This was the best top five Spider-man comparison I ever saw keep up the good work. If you don't mind me saying it, I would like to offer a little advise, try to make your videos a bit shorter, people's attention span is not that big so if the videos are bigger then, lets say, around 7 minutes tops they will just fast forward or give up. What you say is worth it so people should listen closely to everything until the end so they can fully understand your opinion.

I was super excited over the pizza spidey the same way I was over the first spider-man classics which I saw as a game changer. Pizza spidey was the game changer for Hasbro and paved way for the ML collection we all now have.

the mafex figure is easily the best Spider-Man figure at this scale. the select figure is my least favorite because the thighs look way too long. great comparison video man i always look forward to them. keep up the great work!

I've been trying to find this Venom toy a buddy of mine had back in primary school; it was awesome and pretty brilliant quality.
It wasn't a Hasbro that's for sure because those were all my mom would buy me and when ever I would bring mine to school to play with during lunch and recess I just remember thinking how crap mine looked compared to his lol.

I really wanted to get a Mafex Spidey but the thing that kept me from getting it is the same thing you mentioned.- The diaper piece. Although I am an artist and handy with a paintbrush I was thinking of painting the red belt around the top of the crotch piece and blue it out where it currently sits. Do you think that would work?
Painting could definitely work. I just trimmed down a little of the waist piece and now mine is good.

All Mafex figures include their own stands.
The muted colors on the Mafex colors depend on your lighting aswell, if you have him in bright white lights the blue looks better 🤷♂️

I really love the Marvel Legends one as a marvel legends collector myself, and i love the Mezco one also as ive always wanted a figure with soft goods, the revoltech one just looks fun to play with rather than purely having him for looks and i like the mafex one i just wish they’d used a matte blue instead and we dont talk about marvel select

Has to be revoltech for me..I know the joints are an issue with some people but this figure was designed for posing and it doesn't disappoint. The mafex is probably more pleasing on the eye but like most figures what you gain on one you lose on the other.Either way all the figures you reviewed have their own little identity going on.great review as always my friend..keep up the good work..!!
For me it was the spidey that came w/the comic old man Vulture 2pk. He was PERFECT blend of articulation and paint and scale size also.

I will always prefer painted on weblines for the suit, recesses are fine if they're shallow and totally filled with paint, but that Mafex looks like the lines are totally unpainted with just a black wash over the whole thing to bring them out a little.

Daaamn man you’re really making me want that MAFEX spidey. I saw him at a toy show last week but passed and instead got the MAFEX Iron Spidey but now I regret not grabbing the comic spidey too. Plus most of the spidey villain figures are comic versions so they would look dope in shots with the comic spidey.

I had a Revotech Venom and I agree- He looks awesome as fuck but there's no way you can pose him standing casually.
Spiderman has been pretty lucky with action figures in general and every one of these could be the best one for different reassons:
Marvel Legends has the price point with him for something real solid, Mezco has the realistic look for it, Amazing Yamaguchi has the unbeatable articulation, Marvel Select it's a different scale but the colors and the more unique accesories are fantastic and the Mafex one it's a good mix of everything but at a higher price point.
My favorite it's the Revoltech because not only the range of movement it's the best you can get but also because it has a ton of accesories that match with the Mafex and at a lower price but good video man and saludos de México compadre.

Personally I had problems with Mafex in the past, specifically with the Dark Knight trilogy Batman and Amazing Spider-Man 1 Spider-Man, they both had the same issue with the joint connecting the leg to the waist, pretty much really fragile figures cuz they broke on me after a while, never got another Mafex since.
Did they improve on the issue or do people still encounter this?

Mafex is the first and only spiderman i own. To get those photo in true spiderman poses i had to pull the trigger on the mafex very happy, except both twist joint broke in under two hours of doing my photography. So had to fix it myself by replacing the joints with a KO mafex figure. Still impressed and will still be getting hush superman and batman.
Me having Deadpool, Spider-Man, Batman, wolverine, Captain America and Death Stroke revoltech figures I’m personally in love with revoltech. I think the revoltech spidey captures the color of spidey perfectly and the possibility is INSANE. I know some people think revoltech is weird with their joints and everything but if you have a revoltech figure then you know how nice they really are. Only downside is they’re way too overpriced, I spent like 80$ on my wolverine figure plus shipping and his claws came in bent and one claw was snapped, and my Batman figure had a broken knee. But honestly spidey has held up the best.

In my personal opinion, Mafex did an amazing and spot on job with their comic version Spider-man figure. Too bad it's so expensive and hard to come by for an affordable price now. Especially with the occasional Chinese knockoff popping up which doesn't help lmao
personally i find it annoying when marvel legends spideys under arm's were the joint is the part were it is blue on the arm the joint is red it just looks ugly but i love them any ways

The mafex Spider-Man is in a league of its own.
I love the Maefx as well, it has cool accessories but the Marvel Legends is cool too and the colors are more accurate.
The pizza spidey is great, it can't see the Mafex though.

The hands on the Marvel Legends ANAD Spider-Man that came in the Toys R Us two pack with Mary Jane actually work on the Marvel Legends Retro Spider-Man. And they don't look that bad either, just thought I'd say so.
And you get a Peter Parker head sculpt with that set as well.
I think the old Pizza Spidey was the greatest Spidey for a long time until they made that new 2099 body. Who else would LOVE if hasbro made a new classic spidey on the 2099 body?

A classic Spidey on that 2099/Sunfire body is my #1 want right now from Hasbro. Hopefully they'll do it in the Marvel 80th Anniversary line. They already used it for the PS4 Gamestop Exclusive Spider-Man, and it is awesome!

I have yet to get a Mafex or Revoltech figure. I do plan on checking both out. I plan on getting the Revoltech Spider-Man cuz I wanna check out that articulation & Spidey is the best character for crazy poses. I was thinking about Venom instead but I'm going Spidey. He looks fun. If I like him enough, I may get Venom as well, so I can display em together.
& I plan on getting the Classic Magneto that Mafex is releasing soon. What a beautiful figure that looks to be. I also really like the Classic Thor they're coming out with so I may get him as well so Mags has someone to face off with. But Revoltech & Mafex are both $100 a pop. Only reason I haven't gotten one yet. & only plan on getting one (or two).
I actually did check out the Egg Attack line from Beast Kingdom recently. Got the Venompool & absolutely loved him. Possibly my favorite figure in my collection. So I then immediately got Cyclops, Wolverine, & Gambit. They are so nice. Magneto is the next one I'm getting in that line.
