Your toy room with all those figures is one of my childhood dreams
Mine too...
same but I'd have one for Nightwing
Sameeee
“Things didn’t work out for us, but I got my action figure” biggest flex of the century 😮💨
Trust me, you don't know the half of it...
what an absolute chad
Cool
I want your room
Thank you! It is my happy place, for sure!
Me too
Same
Forget the room I want his collection lol
No you want the stuff in the room me too tho
When I saw McDonalds I almost choked on my drink
Was it a McDonald's fountain drink? Cause that would be level 10 irony...
6:58 I remember when my mom got me this figure, I couldn't read the comic because it was in English, but I was awed at everything it had, especially that ad to collect the rest of the figures in that collection. I thought it wouldn't last at all, but let me tell ya, that figure was my whole childhood. I remember the first time when I stuck the plastic board to the wall and hung the figurine there, and the articulations on that one were so loose and smooth, playing with it felt like I was actually moving like Spider-man. It was magical.
Wow, man! Thanks for sharing your story! I love it!
The fact you had a Spider-Man figure in your pocket on your wedding day, big respect ✊
You better believe I did!
The McDonalds spidey is just so simple, nice looking, and vintage. It’s very good
YES! Thank you - sometimes the simpler the better!
Not gonna lie, I was expecting like the mcfarlane spiderman to show up in the list! My favourite is the 2004 sinister 6 spider-man figure from toybiz
That is a great figure. I'm working on a video on my 6-inch Spidey display as we speak - should be out by the end of the week. I think you will be very pleased with the figures included...
Daaaaamnnnn thats giving me memories!!!
Yeah McFarlane Spiderman, Mafex Spider-Man, The Raft Spiderman all deserve to be on this list. I would put the Marvel Legends ultimate spider-man too. Those big eyes. Going with some of the odd ball choices, favorites of people that look at my collection is the 18" Toby Maguire Spiderman with 67 points of articulation. Completely unnecessary and always a blast.
Toy Biz' entire line was it for me from 2003 to 2008, I would keep my grades up in middle school each week, just so my grandma could take me to Wal-Mart and the like to grab a new action figure every Friday. Let's just say, I had an ENORMOUS bucket of Spider-Man related figures, and a tad bit smaller one for Batman, lol. I don't know the individual toys as well as a collector, but my favorite Spider-Men were the Ultimate-style Spidey, with exaggerated features and proportions, the Ditko-esque Spider-Man that came in a two pack with Doc Com, and one of the many Raimi figures of the 2004 Spider-Man 2 line. For other figures there was McFarlane-style Lizard and Venom, Carnage, Scorpion, Raimi Goblin, Ultimate Rhino, Classic Beetle, and Mysterio. I also had figures of the later Venom design with a long rubbery jaw, Man-Wolf, and Classic Goblin. There were so many more, but those were the ones that first sprang to mind.
By ‘McFarlane Spider-Man’ are we talking about the 12’’ Medicom red and blues? That’s the goat for me, flimseyness aside.
When I was 3 years old I watched spider-man the animated series because when my grandpa would visit us from Peru he would always bring back movies and rip off discs of things from Peru. One of them was spider man the animated series. It totally was an illegal copy but I didn’t know. I sat down and watched that show for hours. And that’s my favorite spider man show. It’s the reason I love spider man so much
Great origin story, Nolan! It is cool to see how we all got here from so many different places, but the story of Spider-Man has still brought us together!
How about the articulated Tobey Maguire Spider-Man action figure? Its very cool.
It is cool - maybe number 11?
@@CarbonScoring when i was a kid i had the tobey maguire spiderman toy figure and it came with a quad and it was fun playing with it and i was born in 2002 so i started playing back when i was in 1st grade so it was in 2008
@@CarbonScoring i only had those spider man children's figures with barely any articulation but im thinking of getting marvel legends and other figures. those childrens figures are horribly made and would probably get trashed on by my other figures like master chief, rey, and the mandalorian credit collection.
Carbon scoring your boys are really good at these parts
That iconic Mego Spidey was the first one I ever had.
CLASSIC!
Truth.
I still got the Spidey mego that my dad had when he was a kid. He's in rough shape, but he's got a lot of memories
and if you ask me, that is what it is all about!
Spider-Man mego will always have a place in my heart because of Toyfare.
Me: *sees mego spiderman*
My brain: robot chicken!
They certainly made that figure famous!
Number 1 was the spidey I had as a kid! I didn’t even know people liked it!
It is an unusual choice for Number One - but I love it the most!
Funny things is, aside from the mask and accessories, the Toei and 70's movie suit are the same due to being based on the patterns by the Eaves brooks costume company. This same suit is used in the Atari commercial, vote registration commercial, and every live marvel event at the time.
And I think they are really, really true to the original comic material - I think that is why I love them both so much!
For a long time, my favorite Spider-Man figure was that "super poseable" Spider-Man one from the animated series. I had the Mego figure as a kid, at least two of them because the costumes kept ripping, and I got some of the later Mego-inspired ones with the cloth outfits later on. I remember reading Toyfare all the time and really loved the TMT comic sections. Most of my current favs are the Hasbro Legends ones, but now I have to say my absolute favorite is the S.H. Figuarts Toei Spider-Man. An extremely poseable and detailed figure of the Japanese Spider-Man, complete with web effects, extra hands, and a wrist gadget that opens. I'm hoping we eventually do see more love for Japanese Spidey here in the US. I'd love it if they released the show here on DVD subtitled.
I got the Toei Spidey after this video was filmed - it would have most assuredly made the list in that spot - it truly is a work of art!
2:31 I got that one from my grandma and grandpa.
That makes me very happy - my granddad (Pop) got me my first comics and action figures - special times
Damn man! The nostalgia is real! There was nothing better than 90s cartoons on a Saturday morning! Spiderman, xmen, batman. So many cool shows kids these days probably don't know exist! Sub'd 🙃
Welcome aboard the good ship Carbon Scoring!!!
Are your action figures hot glued to their bases?..
yep - works like a charm and doesn't harm the figure
Nothing like accidentally pinching yourself with your own toys
Hurts so good!
I love McDonald's Spider-Man. Subscribed
That's what I am talking about - the power of McDonalds Spidey coming through 27 😭years later!!!
my favorite mafex figure is "spider-man homecoming"
Yeah, that figure is straight fire
My favourite figure is the Spider-man 2 Legends 6” figure. Something about the poseability as a kid made me love it as well as loving the first movie (I think I had it before I even knew there was a 2 as a gift)
It may show my youth, but that figure was awesome. I loved the textured suit, that even the toes moved! Most of my figures at the time were large, old and didn’t move much at all, so the change was awesome!
Im obsessed with Spiderman and if I had all figures my life would be completed
I am obsessed with Spidey, too! I love my collection and it makes me happy, but I try to make sure it is only one of the things that I am passionate about
Your room is amazing sir! My favorite Spiderman figure from back when I was a kid was a articulated Toby Maguire Spiderman. Not sure the name of the model, but that toy has so many memories to me, as well as the many Spiderman villians I had with it. Venom, Green Goblin, Carnage, Rhino, and more. I wish I could be a kid again.
While our responsibilities and lives always change with time, I am living proof that you never have to let go of being a kid.
This deserves a redo after the end of this year with all the new spideys!
Yeah - maybe a before Marvel Legends, and after Marvel Legends list
Really good picks, and very informative!
Imagine breaking in his house and going into that room
Ahhh - but could you find it? It is hidden behind a secret bookshelf door - no lie...
I had the Spider-Man Classics figure EARLY in my childhood. Off the back of the Spider-Man movie, I was a huge Spider-fan. So, one Christmas, my dearly departed grandmother gave me the Spider-Man Classics figure. TBH, I did NOT know back then how good I had it. That AMAZING articulation didn't exactly lend itself to durability, though. I wore that figure tf out.
These are the types pf memories I hope my videos bring up!
15:00 - 15:08 i almost died hearing that 😂🤣
I don’t know how I feel about the McDonald’s figure being on this list. The Japanese imports, yeah sure. That’s cool. I don’t know I’m just so used to Marvel selects and Marvel legends. That maybe these obscure ones are something I’m not used to. But there’s a community for everything so I can’t really judge and to each their own.
If you ever get your hands on that McD's one - you will love it!
Oh wow, I found the mego figure when I was 7 not knowing how rare it was, I just liked Romita Sr’s design. Then I found out how rare it was, and have been taking care of it ever since
Don't forget to play with them, though!
@@CarbonScoring I won’t! I do have some more recent figures which don’t break as easy. And also a pebble. A literal pebble with Spidey’s face on it given to me by a friend. Safe to say my collection is… well… unique…
Had fun watching this! Subbed too. Never saw your top 1 in the same light until now. Glad I have it as well!
Yes! I have an almost-convert to my Number 1!
One if my favourite figures is this one where it has its wrestling outfit and under it there is his suit
@@CarbonScoring wonder if I can find it in my attic
@@CarbonScoring I do remember that it's articulation wasn't as insane
Have you seen Amazing Yamaguchi's Spiderman figure? That figure is sooooo articulated
Maybe too articulated, but it will bend like crazy!
@@CarbonScoring Yeah! It's so articulated that it's hard to put it in a neutral position
Oh cool dude I can see why you want to display both other heads of the medicom spideys
@8:13 did you say a manga looking Peter head!??! Dude, I’m in tears! I can’t stop laughing 😅😂
I’m jealous of your collection lol
I appreciate that! It has been a lot of work putting it together!
me too so thats why i made a homemade spiderman fig
I had the Mego Spidey when I was a kid. It and Captain America were my favorite
I can’t decide what’s my top 10 favorite Spider-Man figures because they’re so many of them but if I had to choose the absolute best Spider-Man figure of all time, it has to be the Mafex.
My favorite Spidey figure was Street Warrior Spider-Man. I still have him somewhere in my closet since I moved last year, I should really dig him out and put him back on my shelf.
You absolutely should do that!!!!
This video was thoroughly entertaining, good work!
By the way, do you happen to know about a certain 2004 spiderman figure? I used to have him as a kid and I always remember how weird his suit was compared to the original, with the red webbed parts not lining up with the classic design of the character. You'd think it's a bootleg but I vividly remember the foot having the right copyright details and the such. I lost the figure ages ago and always wondered about his history
7:50 Yo, those proportions are the spitting image of the MTV spider-man
The MTV Spidey had a nice figure produced as well - check out my Spidey collection video for a look at it
Loved this so much straight up, easily one of the best lists like this I’ve seen, and the picks too are genuinely interesting and different.
Much Thanks - while there are arguably "better" figures, I tried to validate my picks with knowledge and heart!
@@CarbonScoring ye an in all honestly it makes for a more interesting list that’s clearly come from a place of passion.
Your entire room is my childhood dream
Wow man your action figure collection is the best I’ve seen
Thanks! it has been a lifetime in the making and it continues to grow!
@@CarbonScoring no problem
This guy is the sole reason I'm into action figures
I THINK I had that happy meal toy as a kid. I don't own it anymore though.
Also, you can say what you want, but the Spider-Man figure with the magnets on its hands and feet is the best bar none. Any Spidey figure that can actually stick to walls is god tier imo.
Magnetic Spideys are the bomb for sure. I’ll re-do this list at some point - I’m sure those will make it!
Really enjoyed this video, thank you for sharing it with us!
I appreciate that! Hopefully my life long love for Spidey came through. It has crossed my mind to do a top 100 Spidey figures list!
@@CarbonScoring That would be crazy!
Bro! I own number two! I’ve had that figure since is was little!
Nice! Great figure!!!
I had a figure once the sam raimi version of spidey i had that toy like 12 yrs or something(as i recall my auntie gave it to me when i was a kid) and i can safely say that toy had sentimental value to me cause it was a big part of my childhood...and once my baby brother was born...i kinda gave it to him...and ofcourse he broke and lost it...and now im planning to buy one again that exact figure but im not sure if its right to replace my first one. Cause i still havent found it yet...
The Spider-Sense Spidey is actually designed after the art of late great Mike Wieringo. If you look closely at his early Sensational Spider-Man art after the end of the clone saga, it's absolutely 'Ringo's take, not Bagley. They did several figures modeled after artists starting in the late 1990's. I picked up this and a JRJr styled one from a KB Toys. :)
I can see that - particularly with the eyes,
underrated channel, so much love, passion and nostalgia visible in these videos, I love it
Thanks a ton - come back for more and share with your friends!
Yesterday, while at one of my local thrift stores, I scored a 1978 Mego Spider-Man...🤘🏼🕷💯✔️
WOW! Great find!!!!
I remember I had super posable action figures from the first 2 movies of Spider-Man. I even tied a string around his wrist and swung and spun around with him to make him web-swing
Bro your collection room is so fire
Thanks, my friend!
6:30 wait, can we agree this figure has the same body mold as the 2002 movie figures ?
I really love spidey ❤️ My childhood hero 🔥 I relly hope I can buy one of these 🙏🏻
Spidey is the best!
Top the amazing 10 spiderman
Love it. Love Spidey.
Oh man I remember reading Twisted Toyfare Theater when I was a kid.
I must admit, I am addicted to getting news every minute of every day, but there was nothing better than cracking open a new issue of Toy Fare back in the day…
So that action figure gave me the ultimate Spider-Man comic line and led to me getting Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, well it’s my favourite as well now
Nice! Hopefully you get to add more Andrew's to you collection with Far From Home...
I totally agree with the mafex spidey rating I had mine delivered today and his arm won't stop falling off
8:10 That head really gives me MTV Spider-man vibes.
A very under appreciated version of Spidey!
Wowww that's a cool collection you have there!!!!!👏👏😆
Thank you, sir!
I never knew there was a bagman action figure till now
Now we need a six inch version!!!
Wow phenomenal video
My nephew gave me his happy meal Spiderman. I have had for, oh a long time. I found one online and bought it for him to return the favor.
That is the kind of pay-it-forward that gets the Carbon Scoring Seal of Approval!!!
@@CarbonScoring I appreciate it. I got my nephew hooked on Spiderman since he was a kid. It's kind of our thing we share. We have both met Stan Lee and have photos with him.
@@geo386 that is a very cool thing to share!
that's a pretty decent list!
I would kill to have all those in my Spidy Shrine lol
Great collection 👍👍
That robot-chicken reactoid was interesting with the "Migos" spiderman.
nice list
The best Spider-Man toy, for me? Is the Toy Biz Super Poseable action figure from the animated series. My god. I have never had a toy that could do what this thing could. He could move just like in the show. All my other action figures seemed stiff and lifeless compared to this poseable beauty. Eventually the elastic that held his torso together gave out…and that was the end of him. But seeing you reference it here brought me back. Cool video.
Thanks, man! I love that figure - I has a place of honor at the front of my 5 inch display
Damn Spider-Man Captain Action $500 on Ebay
Whew - glad I got mine years ago...
The mafex Spider - Man actually debuted in 2018 cause around that time, preorders were already up.
Either way - certainly Top 10!
Man I had those little figures with the hole in the hands too I forgot about them I used to stick a string through the hole and make them slide
I want to see the best Spideys but not because they are iconic, because the articulation and sculpt is good
Sure, I get that. I went a different direction and tried to focus on the nostalgic meaning and historic significance of the figures
Damn this deserves more views! Thank you for sharing your Spidey knowledge
Thanks - still trying to grow! I do love me some Spidey - always gotta drop some knowledge - keep watching more goodness in the pipeline
your room is a heaven to collector's
It certainly is to me!
Bombastic bagman is the most hilarious spider man costume and it is awesome
i'm pretty surprised Toybiz's 18 Inch 2004 Spider-Man isn't on the Top 10
That is an amazing figure! I did another video on it - check it out!
1:20 WTF THEY MADE FIGURES OF THE MAN SPIDER (it’s the big grey one with tiny human arms on the far right)
I LOVED the cartoon!!! Had my Spidey Underoos, Spidey action figure with a string coming out of his hand that would climb, my horrendous drawings of Spider-Man and of course the comic books. Spidey is just the coolest character Marvel has ever produced, so take that Deadpool!
I have that 1994 McDonald's spiderman , found it at a flea market last year and I love it
I also have the spider man classics 2000 figure too
This video is so accurate
Nostalgia doesn’t mean quality.
It’s a shame mafex spider man being so low on the list
I think I said it could have been number one! And, I'd argue, nostalgia is even more powerful than quality!
as soon as a saw bombastic bag man dear god I started crying this is so great and I think my friend may actually have spider man classics original spidey I might ask him later
I love that original Spidey Classics figure. It is probably number 11
I see something on Spider-Man, I click.
You have come to the right place - check out my video on my main Spider-Man display and if you are into it - any of my other videos. I am bouncing around a full Ditko appreciation video in my head right now, but I want to make sure I knock that one out of the park. Either way, welcome!
Man I want a mego spidey
There have been some reproductions made recently that I bet you can find for cheap
I agree with you in this video
Thanks, my friend!
i still have the mcdonald’s spider-man
You are a very, very lucky guy. I'm not sure if you are aware of this, but it is one of the Top 10 Spider-Man Actions Figures of all time! (everybody agrees)
@6:26 I have the remoulded version of that spidey for spider man 2
I have all of these except for the RAH Spider-Man figs
Outstanding!
Ever since i saw Japanese spider-man i knew that he'll be so iconic even in the rest of the world, just look at him!!! He has a mech!!!!, great video btw!!
Thanks! LEOPARDON!!!!!
Hello
@@Adam-oh3vu arigato, supaidaman.
(xd)
nice list but ive got mego pocket spider-man at number 1 and remco spider-man in the top 5. at least you gave those 2 a shout out
Those are great ones and if I were a tiny bit older and had more personal memories with those I could easily see them making the top 10!
My personal favorite Spider-Man action figure is the Hot Toys Upgraded Suit from Far From Home. Love that guy
I love that suit also - I did not have it at the time of this video, but I do now and it is AMAZING
adult swim used mego figures i just realized
Yep - came out of ToyFare magazine’s Twisted Mego Theatre!
Maybe it's because I'm young but to me I can't put a lot of these figures on my top 10 list because I simply didn't grow up with them. My top 10 has retro card, pizza spidey, and some more modern figures since I grew up in early 2010's, but didn't start collecting until a few years ago, and those are just what were available at the point I gained interest in action figures. I respect your opinions but I personally just wouldn't be able to put a lot of those figures (McDonalds, Captain Action, Secret Wars, Mego, and Spider-Sense) on my list.
I might have to re-do this list at some point - so many great figures have come out since I made it!
So the retro carded 2020 Spider-Man legend doesn’t even get an honourable mention?
I didn't own that figure when I made this list, but even still, it wouldn't make it. Don't get me wrong, I love it and have used it repeatedly in reproducing old Spidey covers, but it doesn't really break any new ground
