In the army, we eat chocolate covered coffee beans all the time when we're in the bush. Keeps you going without wasting much water if you're on the move. I've also eaten straight beans, and that eyebrow raise was the perfect way to describe it, lol. Bitter, but not too bad when you're tired or hungry. Also I'm going to watch part 2

As a teen, I ade a lot of clay pots on a fire here in Eastern Ontario. Given the time constraints, you guys did really well. Usually the clay needs several days in the sun to dry enough to fire it up.

Quick HEADSUP! Some cans have a plastic lining inside. The only way to check is by cutting it open and looking at the inside walls of the can for a very thin plastic film on the can. I know forsure the Coors light with mountains that turn blue when cold have this forsure.

I would have found a rock with a flat surface (like they had around the fire pit) and put it in the fire early on so it got nice and hot, then take the cake mix and water and mix it in the plastic bag (before Nate filled it with moss), then cut a small tip of the corner of the bag and squeeze the mix onto the hot rock, use the hatchet to flip them and voila........... PANCAKES!!!!!!!
Nate and Eamon are the Ultimate Survivalist Duo, and I refuse to believe otherwise. I can't get mad at Eamon getting the mosquito net- I'm also one of those people who mosquitos love to eat, and I much rather him be comfortable than be a purist.

Did you know that my people of Canada, the Anishnawbe actually do this for healing? It’s called “Fasting” and we don’t eat for the days we’re out there. We build our own shelter and sometimes can have a fire. We of course have someone checking in on us from a distance but it’s totally self controlled. All the emotions you feel are apart of the journey.
Love seeing the whole crew together. When I was watching the first survival video you guys did in Panama. I was thinking man I wish Eamon and Bec were there too. Now I get to see it 😊😊. Off to watch part 2.

This is not surviving in the Canadian wilderness. This is poorly packing for a camping trip and needing to ask your wife for something every hour.
