That’s how my great aunt was. She’s have a mild cramp and then an hour later she was giving birth. She also never got bit by a mosquito in her entire life.
Had a patient so strung out and chaotic that even in 4 point restraints fully tightened she managed to stand in the middle of the bed looking like the grudge.
You’re so lucky, I can’t believe there are women that don’t feel pain during birth 💀 I’m glad at least some of us don’t have awful experiences with birth haha
My mom was taken to the ER and was told to wait to be called. The nurse took a quick look and was shocked to see my sister's head already crowning and my mother calm. She was then immediately taken into the delivery room. My sister was 9lbs, 7oz
There's a lot more variation to the experience than what some people seems to think today. When I grew up, I heard some women say childbirth weren't worse than when it's a bit hard doing number 2, and a variating scale up to unbearably painful.
That was meeee....all 5; all natural. Easy peasy. I loved labor & delivery. I always took a shower, pulled my hair back and put my make-up on. Good deliveries!! 😂😂
My mom had all four of us within an hour. 3 of us are a year apart. She says she loved being pregnant. That the pain was horrible but it happened so quick that she didn’t mind as much and she says that once the baby is out, the feeling of joy and emotions is way stronger than the pain.
LOL my son was bouncing around inside of me for 7 hours, then we slept for 7 hours and then I pushed him out in 7 more hours. He was my first kid, my daughter was an emergency c section three years later. They're 31 & 28 and in the military
Yeah that was my grandma. She got contractions, walked into the hospital, took a 3 hour long hot shower, layed down and my mom came flying out of her like she was on a slip and slide.
The nurse I had when giving birth asked me to tell her when I would get my contractions because she couldn’t tell. Don’t get me wrong, they hurt pretty bad. But I guess I handle pain really well. I was just so happy that day.
I had an epidural but the nurses and doctor was like, “you pushed for 15 minutes, labored for 10 hours with mild discomfort, and you only have an abrasion. You made this look easy!!” (10 hours before epidural, mild contractions all day)
My grandma has always been like this. Her periods didn't hurt, neither giving birth (7 babies). Once she went to the hospital, they told her it was still soon, and to go again in a couple of hours. Well... My grandpa and her went to the cinema, watched a movie, came back and she gave birth right away xD
Dad forced my mom to go to the hospital, she felt "funny" but i wasnt due for like 3 more days so this couldnt possibly be labor. Within an hour of getting to the hospital i was born and she tried to leave before they could finish their paperwork
When my mom gave birth to me, it was the same way. Even though it was in the 80's, she was active walker and on prep squad. She went in to have me and was in a room full other women given birth. She was trying to figure why everyone is screaming and she wasn't. In labor for 2 hours and doctor said it was time to push and still very minor pain.
I had a patient walk in and say she thought she thought her water broke (first baby). I inserted the speculum to do the test to check all I could see was blackness. I check her cervix and she was fully dilated. The blackness was the baby’s hair. The patient didn’t even know she was in labor!
My mom had a somewhat similar experience when she had me. I was her first and she was calm and chill, she even went to work that day. When the nurses checked she was 8cm dialed and where shocked that my mom was so serene. Sure enough, 2 pushes and i was out. With my sibling, they slipped out into the Drs hands 😆
I got tired of waiting. Contractions was not painful. I vent to sleep in the hospital bed. Woke up a little uncomfortable. 10 minutes later our son was born No makeup tho
I only went to the hospital with my youngest after my water broke. No cramping or pain. Got to the hospital got on the bed and as the nurse turned to leave to get the monitor I said I think something is happening. She advised me to lower my pants and as I did my youngest was born. The nurse said she didn’t have time to put on gloves or anything. If my water hadn’t broke it would have been like any other day.
The only thing I was pissed about was the nurses and doctors that kept coming in looking at me they say 1st time mothers cry and get loud they didn't believe I was having my 1st baby especially since I had him all natural no meds needed I know what I signed up for 💁♀️
This was me wirh my son. Legit first pregnancy and they was all sure i was to be on the epidural and etc. But nope. I just sat there asking when i would give birth and usually how long. The nurses where shocked that i was talking normally. The doctor was flabbergasted when 10hrs and 5 pushes later i gave birth to my kid 😅. I honestly couldve gone the night without even knowing i was in labor, it wasnt until i ate some pasta that night that i thought something was off.
A nurse told my mom that she was not in labor with me because she wasn't screaming or yelling. The doctor came in and said that she needed to go to the hospital. One hour later, I was born. My son was born with a limited pain reliever. No screaming or yelling.
😂 I was like this with 1-3. 4 and 5 took me ALL THE WAY OUT. I wasn't due for another month with #4 but she wanted to be a Punkin instead of a Butterball. She decided to come on a night when her dad and no one else in my own family was available. I was too far into labor for an epidural by the time the ambulance got me there. Her dad showed up after she was born and cried about missing it. #5 was my only C-section. He was Frank Breech (knees to chest and too big to turn as I have a tilted uterus and small hips). His foot was sticking out when they started the c-section. The day before was my birthday and he tried to join in on the party. 😂
