Prostration is the most important action in the prayer. It shows how high is the Creator and how low and humble the servants are...Amongst all the created gods that are worship on earth, this action of (prostrating) is demonstrated ONLY for "Allah", who is the universal Creator. SUBHANALAH (pure is He), ALHAMDULILAH (all thanks & praises belongs to Him), WALAH-iLAHA (there is no god but He), WA-ALLAHU-AKBARR (He is the greatness of all greats) !!!!

I don't know why today I'm curious on why I pray the way that I do(the actions and the words recited) I never bother to know/understand all of these actions before,and just pray because God said it's a must. I Googled it and found an article in a Christian website and this video. I read the article for fun,to my suprise,the author really knows how we pray,what makes it invalid etc). It's a shame someone who is not a Muslim knows prayer better than me(a born Muslim). Then,I watched this video(most of the information in the article were mentioned and explained thoroughly here). This video help answered most of what I need to know. Jazakallahukhairan.😊😊
Very good lecture, we have learnt a lot on the principals about the salat. Prophet Ibrahim (P.B.H) performed 2 rakats salat at the Holy Kabba at makam Ibrahim, and his time and prophethood preceded prophets Musa, Yusuf, Sulaiman, Daud , (peace and blessings upon them all) . Prophet Ibrahim lived in a very ancient time, when small states and kingdoms were just being formed, when even the pyramids had not yet been built. This shows that salat is the only way to worship Allah the Creator, and that this was the prayers of the Israelites and other ancient people. If prophet Issa (A.S) went to Jerusalem, as is in the bible story, he would have gone to the temple mount to establish salat there, where salat was performed in the time of prophet Daud and Sulaiman. Prophet Issa would have had an argument with the priests about salat and not with money exchangers.!!

Prayer is munajat i.e. private conversation. It is no longer private when you pray in congregation and follow an imam.
The entire salah is the al Fatihah. That's right. On the plane recite the Fatihah silently and you would have prayed.
