I am an old sony fan. The battery size , cool and sustained performance, longevity and luxury build quality is most important to me. I don't need fancy cameras!
Naah it’s performance sucks and thats the main thing holding me back. Sony phones have overheating issues i am waiting for them to be fixed. And also they using oled displays but why not giving in display fingerprint scanner?
if they keep the 1/1.3 main camera sensor im not upgrading. This is a bad joke at this point that has been going on for years. Xiamo is using Sonys 1 inch sensor for years but Sony is not using the clearly superior sensor in its own smartphone? Why tf call it a flagship when it literally has 2nd and 3rd tier sensors. I skiped the 1 VI for this reason and if Sony pull the same sh*t again by using a mediocre sensor for the main camera im switching brands for good.
Xiomi uses single layer, meaning the subpixels diode and transistors in 2D plane. Xperia 1 vi, iPhone 16 uses 2 layered 3D stacked sensors in which the transistor array placed behind the sub pixels. due to this the individual sub pixel area increases and gathers more light into digital signals. the type 1 sensor used in xiomi ultra have higher readout time and the xperia have faster than that.
@@___Amal_then why not use of 1" 2 layer sensor? That would be best isn't it? Sony, biggest camera manufacturer, alao biggest sensor manufacturer, cannot create best camera in a smartphone? The question is cannot or doesn't want. As stated, they have better sensors and other brands buying and using it while xperia sticks with mid range sensors. This is pathetic. Combine it with lack or wrong marketing and you have results.

it was 4k they ditched it for 1080 ig for better battery.

I'm more interested in the so called Xperia Pro I-II or Pro-C release if rumors were true. But I'm beginning to doubt if it will ever happen.
I just don't think Sony would give the Xperia brand a big enough budget to make more than 2 phones a year so I doubt we'll ever get another of these.
Imo they should switch between the 1 and the I range each other year so customers can choose what they want.

A stacked sensor on a phone makes absolutely no sense, it is faster, which you dont need on a small sensor, and its actually worse on dynamic range

Xperia 1 V was the best. Have had Sony phones since 2003. If they don't bring the 4k screen and 21:9 back for the 7 im Samsung for the first time...
