He is more likeable as anti hero imo only villain Symbiote is Carnage
Hulk, Mr Sinister, Thor, Loki, Thanos, Surfer, Phoenix are all near TOAA level now and I'm sure I missed some. Looks like storm is on her way there too.

This current story arc of Venom helped me understand Kang’s agenda and now my brain doesn’t hurt when reading stories with Kang.
Once I saw Rob's video, i felt the same way until I watched it again and put myself in Kang's shoes and then I got it. His story is sad AF man...
I think folks may have missed this . . . Meridius' face is Kang's. @harryevens1111 pointed out, this is basically a variation of Kang's origins. So many parallels, but yeah . . .that face!!

The thing to remember is that Kang would never help somebody become more powerful than him. Ever. So there's a catch to him helping Eddie to become Meridius which will ultimately allow Kang to come out on top.

@@cyprusmiraque It does seem like the kind of corney phrase a Marvel writer would slap on the title of a new crossover event. Kang in control of a multiversal symbiote army because he can easily defeat Meridius in single combat because he not only learned from watching Eddie train but also taught him how to fight. Then, by defeating the existing King In Black he becomes the new King In Black just as Eddie did with Knull except that Kang travels the multiverse defeating more and more Meridius varients to build a multiversal symbiote hivemind under his control.
I like this, could be cool to get a real origin for kang, is kang the eventually?
Now, usually circular time stuff like this would have a lot of plot holes. However, the story established extremely early on that each Eddy walks a different path. The only constant is the eventuality. The ONLY constant.
This means Moridius isn't guarenteed. Even with his garden. The garden merely increases the odds of Moridius.
This loops back to all Eddies walking different paths. Moridius might be the most frequent ending, but isn't guarenteed. This was also established as the defining point of the symbiotes compared to the ivory kings and such. The symbiotes represent freedom and chaos.
Now, i only have like 2 minutes left in the video, and this story doesn't seem close to being done.
I think the Eddie we saw do the assassination at the very beginning is the reason our eddie can break free of Moridius's plot. He's the "final form" of our current Eddie (excluding the eventuality and whatever the writers decide to do.)
All in all, I honestly believe this is the most straight forward and grounded timey wimey story I've seen.
I never expected Eddie to become a godlike being in the Marvel universe, and I'm honestly very happy it did.

People hating on this storyline need to respect Venom and Eddie for all he is been through. I have faith that he may beat KIB Carnage. And before anyone say depends on the writer, it is just my wish for Venom plus Eddie Brock and my love for them

Agreed! Some people really prefer his simple villainy days for some reason. They were fun, but stagnant. Now? Eddie has so much to live and fight for, and he's doing so in an awesome story with great character development.
@hunterg.1300 EXACTLY it's nothing wrong with a little change and at least the explanation make since.... Even THE ENIGMA force aka captain Universe being a symbiote and the thing to kill Knull in the past and what gave Eddie his power up to win... That writing was genius to me... Because Captain Universe out of all things was the last thing I expected.. Only thing I hated in the run was Sentry... Even the whole Carnage story real fans know Carnage NEVER got the faith of a one on one...SYMBIOTEs being cosmic makes since their not from earth

All I can think of is the Kang story you covered, he perpetuates himself into becoming who he’s meant to be but in this case the end of it is going to be a bit different
I loved the Kang story, Only myself left to conquer ". I think it resonates with some people, who are just trying to be the best versions of themselves and get lost in the goals justifying the means...How many business men started off good, wholesome people and a decade later, their morality is askew and they barely recognize themselves anymore. Or, trying to provide for a family or save a loved one and you start off with some questionable things and then end up being portrayed as the villain. I like the beginning and the end of his story most. You see this wide eyed kid who is just looking for a journey of adventure and knowledge and end up falling in love. Then that love dies and he tries to do everything in his power to change her fate, only to be fate's fool. I honestly have a lot of empathy and sadness for him. All he ever wanted to be was something more than just Nathaniel, and everyone can relate to that. Not wanting to be another ant in the colony. Now, the saying goes, "The road to hell is paved with good intentions" but in this case, young Nathaniel couldn't see this. He couldn't fathom what he was marching towards. All to save the one he loved. It's like Anakin. All he wanted was Padme. Not the Jedi, Not Palpatine, but just to be with the ones he loved. I would've loved to see them use that story to tell the Kang story. It doesn't just make him a rinky-dink villain. It gives him character depth.
Isn’t this basically a rewritten version of the Kang story, except with Venom? He learns of all his future forms, including one who eventually evolves into someone shitty who this version doesn’t want to be, but it’s an inevitable cycle…
Marvel must be hiring dairy farmers. Cause they are MILKING everything. Where are the new stories? They are just recycling old material and adding a new paint job. Not to mention neutering the original spider-man.

This feels like a modern spiritual retelling of the original Adam Warlock Magus story. The irony of Kang being where Marvel has wanted him for the last couple of years... In the role of Thanos, makes it extra interesting.

I loved the king in black run, and I’m very intrigued with the carnage/venom stories coming out right now. Both are god level now 😂 Spider-Man better hope venom never goes villain again cuz there’s not a damn thing he could do about it lol spidey is the only main character dude who never gets a power up that he gets to keep
Even side characters are becoming more powerful than Peter. Normie (Carnage/Bedlam Symbiote + Goblin), Liz (Carnage/Anti-Venom Symbiote), even debatably MJ with that casino themed power bracelet.

The stages of grief are usually spoken in an order w denial at the beginning and acceptance at the end but in reality you actually can go back and forth between the stages indefinitely before finally finding acceptance. So in reality there is no order other than acceptance being the last

It can't go super since they don't know how to write for shit. Hulk and Thor currently in comics should be soo high on tier list both thanos and storm wouldn't be able to do shit to them but lazy writing got into the way and made them jobb...

Every light saber is a laser sword, but not every laser sword is a light saber. It's the same scenario as Kleenex or Jacuzzi. Tyro gets a laser sword, but it is most certainly not a light saber. 🤷
I liked it better when symbiotes were just goop from space that had a hive mind that could be influenced by their host.
They're 100% overdoing it with the power levels of symbiotes.

@@venom0825 And making everyone godlike is stagnation. Creativity stagnation. Not every character has to grow to a godlike power level. Characters can develop and grow without getting obscene to the point where they're a completely different character, only bearing the name of who they used to be.

If written correctly a character can absolutely grow into a different character, that called character development. Whether you personally like the change or not is completely irrelevant.

Symbiote corruption does lean disturbingly close to The Dark Side in concept. Hell tell a Symbiote how the Pre-Empire Jedi treated handling emotions, and a Klyntar would claim them to be in the right, because they completely understand where they’re coming from in their line of thought.

The issue that needs resolution is why Eddie is able to break the cycle. If he's destined to be Meridius, how did he come across the Eventuality prematurely?

Knoll isn’t a symbiot. He accidentally created them while making that sword.

@@Oree_Nabisko was knull a “king in black”? When knull died why didn’t he become a symbiote and gain access to this next stage of power like eddy? Eddy was a human but has better control of a hive mind than an knull🫤 how long did knull have access to this power vs eddy ?
It’s explained in a previous issue that when Knull denied his responsibility as the KIB, he set himself up to fall. He couldn’t change the outcome even if he wanted to, which is how despite with his vast power, he couldn’t change his fate even when he sent Mr. E to the past.
@@BigpopsMcGee Knull was offered the role of the King in Black by the celestials. He is a god, like thor just a lot older. He refused and started to kill them by making the first symbiote, all black the necrosword. When Eddie kills Knull he is essentially given the same choice. However if he choose no, he would of simply died. So, he chooses yes instead and becomes the 'first' king in black. Knull COULD OF gained access to these powers if he agreed with and joined the celestials but he didn't. So when he died, he died.
For example Thor COULD OF denied the Odin force and NOT become the next All-Father. If he had done that he never would've received all of Odin's abilities.
I cant wait for the last issue to undo everything thats happened. Like in every other modern comic.

Anybody miss when Eddie was Spider-Man’s bully and Venom was a physical alien suit? Now we’ve got Eddie, a bully, now becoming a transdimensional super being on par with the Beyonders? I’m all for abstract stuff but this is so ridiculous.
I miss when street level characters were street level and were relatable. This reminds me of when Spiderman had to fight in other dimensions and clones and vampires and other nonsense that completely misses what we liked about the character. Venom is a cool villain. He doesn’t need to meld with all multiverse variants or whatever this nonsense is.

Venom is an alien that’s more powerful than Spider-Man. Space is where he literally belongs. Heck Spider-Man is above Street Level.
