The Seaview rescues scientists from a climate control project at the South Pole, and a killing spree begins. Nelson has to shut down the project before the world's climate changes.
This high definition video is a recording of an HDTV broadcast of newly-transferred and restored film. The episode has been shortened by the distributor to the current standard length for one-hour episodes through the use of cuts and increased frame rate. Can I just say that although some are quite extraordinarily weird most are wonderfully entertaining all of them are precious, even the Lobster, it just goes to show the actor's were simply superb at making it all so believable!☺

I promise I will do my best to not miss this one! I was going to say, that’s a real low effort Snowman costume but really, what can you do otherwise? I think it’s the head/face that’s the weak point. It’s not really ‘selling’ it as a real living creature.
But he’s very clean, isn’t he? 😁
I wonder if it's the white gorilla costume with a different face. Maybe he got a perm and a blow dry!
I never did see this episode in the 60’s. Best TV shows ever back then. Not today which is too bad.
This episode begins with a serious, sober attitude. Great music, Nelson is actually doing work on the chart table.
The quality of the series is on a deep dive

What makes this series epic is Richard Basehart & David Hedison and cast. They could come up-against a talking dolphin and still make it believable
Then it's too bad that there was never a VTTBOTS & Flipper crossover episode.
They were easily entertained in the 70's, that's for sure!

This was made in the 60s so the studio didn’t have the budget for sci-fi props like we have today. Imagine if Irwin Allen had access to special effects that we take for granted; ohh, what MIGHT have been… 🤩

I have to say, that crane shot in the missile room was really impressive! Shooting the room from a high angle should have been used more.

I love that ‘crawled thru the air vents’ was an instant go-to instead of ‘this guy is probably the creature’ by default.

I will note that at no point are we seeing this experimental station or how it’s doing its thing. They must have blown the budget on the crane shot… 😁

Robots, mermaids, Aliens, mutants, furry creatures, and Hell knows what else; all the fun shit happens aboard the SEAVIEW (the other USN Captains gotta be jealous) 😃
