    Bloody hell Poddy, have you got a bunch of hillbillies imprisoned in the shed making that music for you lol.
    Really enjoyed the video though dude.

      Yes, the volume of the music was mad, much higher than the talking. I had to place my finger over the phone speaker.

      Sometimes the levels can be affected by the device it is viewed on BUT as this was one of our earlier videos the likelihood is we didn't get our levels bang on. It's all a learning curve and hopefully something that doesn't affect our later videos. Thanks for watching Matt and hope the eardrums have recovered! 🙂👍

    Really enjoying your videos, and your accent! Love the low budget of the project - it is definitely helping me get through the "I can't afford to convert a van" barrier! Thanks!

      Yep! I've been attending the University of UA-cam for years now. Most of what I know, rightly or wrongly stems from it now... 😁😂

    On your first video I thought it was absolutely spot-on I’m in the process myself I’m actually trying to do the same thing in a smaller van the wife calls it a postage stamp van which is a Vauxhall Vivaro swb on an 07 plate But as a weekender I’m hoping it’s gonna be perfect just had a new top put on so at least we can now stand up putting in a rock ‘n’ roll bed i’m slowly but surely getting all the wiring sorted out but one of the things that really wanted to do was use the reversing camera also as a camera as a security one as well as some look at Internet at the moment if it can be done but your videos are pretty good Keep it going

    Blimey £20 quid for a headunit, I wouldn't have thought it were possible to get just a screen for that let alone a full working car stereo. Been watching a fair few campervan videos lately but this is the first time I'm seeing someone do one with my kinda budget.

      Early days but it seems to work just fine. Mainly just used the BT function to play songs from our phones and the screen with the reversing camera. No complaints just yet but the jury is still out. 😊

    Great stuff, the cheap camera bargain has disappeared, unfortunately.

      Yeah... I heard prices had started creeping up after Brexit but admittedly I haven't looked for myself. Sounds like I need to revisit some of our links! Thanks for checking the video out. 🙂🍻

    Good informative video but please sort out your levels. Your talking audio is quiet so you turn the volume up to hear you then get deafened by the music.

    If you're partner has electric rollers, use the pins to get the radio out.

    I did the same job but ran the cable up the driver's side. I took power for the camera from the rear headlight lamp (which I always drive with on). I took the head unit power from the fuse box (7.5 amp). I have my screen mounted over a rear view mirror I bought on ebay. I just jab the on/off button when I want to reverse. Not perfect but way easier than your proper done job. Original cable was long enough for me.

    Everything has jumped in price. Paid closer to £60 for mine.
    Do you think the 15m video cable you used is enough for an L3H2 Relay?

    • @PilgrimPods
      @PilgrimPods  3 роки тому

      I would say so as there was an awful lot of extra cable I had to tie out of the way and the difference between a L2 and L3 is only 600mm if memory serves. I'd run a tape measure chasing your intended run for peace of mind. I've noticed prices are on the rise but didn't realise quite that much!

      @@PilgrimPods I've traced out my imagined route with the 10m cable that came with the camera and it looks like it will reach OK. :-)

    How did you fix the double din cage in the hole in the dash? I can't figure it out on mine

    • @PilgrimPods
      @PilgrimPods  3 роки тому

      It just nestled tightly in there if memory serves so I didn't bother screwing it in. The joys of buying cheap items! Still pleased with the purchase though despite the extra faff.

      Bit late I know but a lot of them have tabs cut outs round the edge that you push so that they secure it in place and stops it pulling out. Or there are screws is some.

    Mate your really quiet then your music is blasting loud. So up and down with volume

    • @PilgrimPods
      @PilgrimPods  2 роки тому

      Yeah, I wished I'd got to grips with the sound levels earlier on. Later videos don't suffer with it...

    Agree with the Beasley Beast... loud yeehaas! That's the exact stereo I have installed in my camper. I do NOT know you could mirror your phone to use as a satnav. Thanks for that!! I have not used mine for reversing camera though as I have installed a reversing camera kit that acts like a rear view mirror which is on whilst I drive. I prefer to have it on and recording the dickheads behind me :o) Nice!
    Hang on!!! Only 425 subs!!?? Are you kidding me? That is a travesty. And, no I don't mean a woman with extras!

      We thought about having a separate screen too like you; might be something for the future, we'll see how we get on. We wanted an android unit originally but then thought why not save some money with this unit and just sync it with our phones. How are you getting on with yours? 🙂
      Our subscriber count is slowly growing. We're documenting a DIY campervan build and haven't actually uploaded any videos of an actual conversion yet, just tatting on with an old van. 😁 Just chuffed that 400+ folk have enjoyed what we've put up enough to follow along. 😊🙌

    Argh my ears! Super loud music 🎶

    • @PilgrimPods
      @PilgrimPods  3 роки тому

      I think the issue is more device specific. I've standardised the peaks across the audio but in hindsight should probably have lowered the background music a few decibels across the board to avoid any potential issues. If you ever watch our latest door video hopefully you'll see I've been listening and lessons have been learned.
