    The Casio calculator has a log button which allows you to input the base of that logarithm. This makes for very flexible solutions when answering logarithm questions. There is also a generic log button, which is base 10 by default (but can be altered as explained in the course), useful for quick calculations.

    How do you get to the mode that displays Math at the top? When I press log button with two boxes, I don’t get what you’re getting. I suspect that the background node has something to do with it.

    Using an FX-CG 20
    I can't find that specific log button, even after pressing log it still looks different and the function is new to me

      It should be [OPTN] [F4] [F6] [F4] in RUN MATRIX. Then you can navigate down to alter the base and then input your number in the brackets.

    Hey thanks for the video it really helped but my calculator does not have that key but instead I have "x!" this key but I have a casio too but it is fx-82 AU PLUS II is this the reason?

    • @TheCalculatorGuide

      It will do this if you are in Line mode (LineIO). You can either change to Math mode or you can input say Log(2,8) to change the base from 10 to the first number (in this case 2) then comma, then the number within the logarithm (the argument, in this case 8) and that should work it out, in this case 3.

      Clear your calculator that should not happen. Your buttons could be failing as they are physically close to each other.

    • @TheCalculatorGuide
      @TheCalculatorGuide  6 років тому +3

      That is a possibility. However, if you press that button whilst in LineI/O it comes up as if the regular log has been pressed as the poster described. I believe this is a more likely explanation than button failure, but that may be the problem.

      Thank you! The problem was that my calculator was not in Math mode

      @@TheCalculatorGuide thank you! had the same issue and that solved it. Do you know if having the calc in Math mode will disrupt previous uses such as scientific notation? Thanks!

    • @TheCalculatorGuide
      @TheCalculatorGuide  5 років тому +1

      120 factorial is too large for the calculator I’m afraid.

      thank you,
      this is for the reason of i was only allowed to use certain type of a calcu during our test then this question popped up and yeah i still haven't thought of other way to input to get the answer
      im think of like to get i^100 =( i^2)^50

    Using Fx-96SG PLUS
    I can't find that specific log button

    • @TheCalculatorGuide
      @TheCalculatorGuide  6 років тому +2

      No it is not on the 96SG. You would have to try the variation with the comma. Eg log(2, 8) = 3

    Why is it that everytime I click the LOG¤¤ buttom it results log( , not log¤¤ that I could not be able to put a bases on the boxes because boxes doesn't exist....pls make video about my concern😇😀

    • @TheCalculatorGuide
      @TheCalculatorGuide  5 років тому +1

      You may be in line input or output. It will always just display as log in line mode. Try changing to Math and see if that works.

    How do you do this on the fx-82 AU PLUS II

    • @TheCalculatorGuide
      @TheCalculatorGuide  5 років тому +1

      You have to use log then lead with the base, comma and then the argument. For example log (2, 8) press equals and you get 3
