dang bro, glad i found you. loving your vibes and its nice to see someone doing what im trying to do. After years of self learning, im finally building my web dev portfolio up and looking into freelance work. Nice to see people who look like me holding it down! And man i just started watching solo leveling last night! hahah subscribed!
Interesting things! I was just watching some of the channels I'm a subscriber and found yours on a recommendation list. Happy to have stopped by and watched this one. Also great soundtrack you picked for this one.
Whoa, watching your Day in the Life video was eye-opening! The dedication and hard work behind the scenes of software engineering truly shine through. Keep up the amazing work!
I come to this channel whenever I’m feeling discouraged in my career, why? because it makes the developer path I’m choosing feel more normal and not like an unmanageable leap into despair. I can.
once i saw you playing some joey bada$$ i got hooked to your video man. You're Motivating me to keep learning how to code. Im glad i found your channel man!
Ahhh! Tailwind is great, you should give it another try! In response to the "bajillion classes", if you want you can assign custom class names for the instances where you found you've added a lot of classes, , and reuse it within your components. Additionally, you can have an addon that sorts the class names alphabetically when you add them to the component, and also it will give you auto suggestions for class names as you're typing them out. The great thing about Tailwind (once you get past the initial learning curve) is that it's extremely quick to add styles to components (far quicker than raw css once you learn it). Awesome video btw! I'm definitely jealous of your editing skills. :)
Earned a sub for sure. You got great taste in music, seem chill as hell, like cats and play smash. I don't play smash anymore but I'm telling you I was a beast with Pac-man!
Put all the tailwind utility classes that are the same in a module. For example, navigation links have the same styling and can be stored in a module.css file and imported into whatever component you want to use them. This way the code looks cleaner.
Freshman in college here. I was recently a part of a web dev team and I learned a lot about React. Gotta say I love how easy it is to use. Enjoyed the video man! If you don't mind, could I ask you for a recommendation on whether or not I should focus on learning one language/framework at a time? This is relevant to me because I tend to have a bunch of different things going on at once with classes, clubs, and my internship. If you have found good ways to manage this I would love to hear.
That is like 6x the amount of toothpaste you need, but what I wanted to say is, look into sonic toothbrushes or something, they remove a lot more plaque and are just way easier. It's definitely something I enjoy. My teeth feel like I've been at the dentist everytime I brush.
I've been binging some of your videos, and they're really well done, but as soon as I saw you fit in a session of SSBU during your break? Instant Subscribe right there. Fox and Lucina main, btw.
On the tailwind code vomit: can't you just use existing Tailwind features like directives or functions to make the code less overwhelming and easier to understand?
Agreed. 9/10 if it's a popular tool/package/framework/etc for a broad topic like styling and a glaring flaw like this comes up best practice imo is to check if the package has a way to handle it already and baring that find whatever package someone else who was frustrated made to solve it. The 1/10 is when you're using the wrong tool for the job or the job should be redefined to be achievable.
I just Found you channel bro and I don't regret it I really love your apartment its cozy, and I just want to ask you what is the reference of your table in the living room ?
gitlab did it right with merge request. much more meaningful name. i think PR is something from good old days where every repository was local and shared via P2P model
i just turned 18 6 days ago and I want to become a software engineer but have no idea where to start, I have been watching videos mostly yours and I also heard you have to be good at math and I’m horrible at math so should I choose a different career? I love your channel 🐐💪🏾
If you can do basic algebra, then you can learn to code. There's usually not a ton a math involved. But every once in awhile it helps with the problem solving!
While i love how much you take care of your work life balance Im curious what your opinions are irt focus? I know there is plenty of research irt how long interuptions cause irt general productivity and the need for software developers to hold large states in memory adds yet more 'reset' time when returning to tasks. So without casting judgement im generally curious if you have considered the impacts of your interweaving of work and life has on productivity and if you think it minimal in your current schedule then what techniques you use to overcome the negative productivity effects of 'reset' time after distraction?
Where DO I start to become a software engineer? I took computer science in high school however, they mostly taught python for data analytics then I learned full stack web development, and Not sure if college is the way to go or if I should go to college to pursue a degree... a little lost ;-;
Hello! First things first, your visual masterpieces of videos are awesome. I am considering becoming a software developer of sorts, so I have a few questions if you have enough time. 1: What type of degree and education did you get? With the way you code, it must be the best of the best. I assume there has to be some continuous education because of Moore's Law, so how do you orchestrate that? 2: What is the job-hunting process like? Are jobs easy to find, or is it competitive? How do you stay the best of the best? 3: If I were to go the software route (I'm also considering being a Chiropractor through Palmer University), should I go through the military ROTC system at a tech college and serve as a Cyber Warfare Officer? I know you may or may not know much about the military part, but I'll take any advice I can get. Thank you so much Devonte Glitch Duncan (my go at guessing your middle name)! I look forward to a reply.
Great video man! Do you use a docker station to connect the 2 monitors to the mac? If yes, how do you deal with charging the mac? Isn't the docker station charging the mac all the time? Doesn't this cause issue to the battery? Thanks
@@doseofdevy Thanks for replying. But if you unplug your charger, does the mac keep charging anyway because you're connected to the monitors? this happens to me (windows)
The tailwind comment triggered me a bit too much, it's god's gift to frontend development. I'll take a bunch of readable classNames over a mess of stylesheets every day of the week.
Middle Name Gianni?
Truly love your videos, keep up the excellent content!
Yo thank you! Also congratulations! You're not the only one who got it, but you were the first!
What's your email?
@@doseofdevy uh oh, looks like he didn't reply. Will you take mine?
Bro lost an opportunity

your video is so sweet to watch...smooth, it flows.
I come to this channel whenever I’m feeling discouraged in my career, why? because it makes the developer path I’m choosing feel more normal and not like an unmanageable leap into despair. I can.
Loved the video man! Cat is funny as hell.
Tailwind looks ugly, but you cannot lie -- you can get stuff built quickly with it
I’ll definitely admit that for sure lol

Thank you!!!
Bro what? Righteous minds, cloud main in smash. You're the goat man, you got yourself a new subscriber

Oh wow! It was awesome seeing my studies come to life in your vlog.... Thanks for sharing at the level of detail that you do! 🥳
Glad I stumbled upon your page it offered me a lot insight on me wanting to do this
Throwing all the pillows in the floor to fix the sheets and then body slamming the comforter is also how I make my bed.

Thanks fam!!
Middle name: "of"? Nailed it.
Your cat!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
You can write custom classes with tailwind in you css file, so you don’t have bloated components
Earned a sub for sure. You got great taste in music, seem chill as hell, like cats and play smash. I don't play smash anymore but I'm telling you I was a beast with Pac-man!
Great channel bro definitely subscribed and I also hate tailwind css
I do have backend experience (in the top right corner; "Pause") lmao. Love that
My little brother produced Righteous Minds. Shout out to Leekix. Definitely wasn’t expecting to hear that. Great video.

i thought i was the only who hated tailwind to many classes
Youre the man dude keep it up
Thumbs up for the Tailwind opinion .... same. I feel like writing pure css is as clean as it can get.
i can't wait to become a software engineer! im gonna start school this august, i'm really excited!
2:55 lmao swear this makes the process faster, we def all do this 😭
Loved the vlog. I admire the “I’m shooting to you straight”attitude towards this lifestyle. Also, I need to know kitty’s name🐱.

Hmm maybe, I'll have to look into that. Thanks for the heads up!
