I’m a 51 year old man with adult male children, one in the Marine Corp, and this video made me cry like a baby. I love that guy. He reminds me of my grandpa. He was mentally sharp his entire life, and a WW2 vet too. I really miss him. This is a great reminder to love your family deeply, especially your wife.
I miss my dad, one of the « GREATEST GENERATION ». I so appreciate all veterans of the past and the present. A wonderful interview. Thank you sir for your service and sharing some of your life and thoughts with us.
I'm 50 and he is from the same generation as my grandparents too. I love that generation and I love hearing the stories they tell. When I was in college several decades ago, I attended a D day celebration and got to meet some of the World War II vets and I cried like a baby as I thanked them for their service and sacrifice.
Thank you for your service. God Bless, Heal, & Keep you Always. I miss my grandfather, too. He was a WWII veteran. Army. Multiple purple hearts & bronze medals. Came back with severe PTSD. He was so kind to all of us & so fun with his grandchildren. .
Yes, I was blessed to have a Great Uncle who lived to be 106… at 105 I sat and chatted with him about his life (for me, one last time). What a great Blessing and Honor…
Dude, you are so lucky to interview & be in the presence of a WWII veteran & member of the Greatest Generation. My absolute favorite group of people ever. Members of that generation are extremely hard to find nowadays & I'd do anything to be in their presence again. Took that generation for granted when I was a kid & didnt appreciate them back then. They really built & rebuilt America. Wonderful group of people.
If you want advice from an older generation, here’s my two cents. Be kind. Be loyal. Be honest. Love your friends. Cherish your partner. If you see anyone in need - help them. Help people. Volunteer. Be a good role model. Don’t spoil your children, praise them. Regardless of your past, respect your parents. Be a good son or daughter. Be polite. Be very polite. Please and thank you, goes a long way. Open doors for people. If you see someone struggling with packages help them. Be grateful. Smile. Smile a lot. Most of all, everything you do, do it with good humor.
😊Hello! With all due kindness and respect… You neglected to mention the most important decision of all: Get saved or “born again” by making Jesus your Lord and Savior. Like Jesus ‘Himself talks about in John 3:3-8. Best decision you will ever make! Then, you’ll know “where” you will spend eternity! To GOD Be the Glory!
I am a French-born citizen and how I wish I could meet this incredible man to look into his eyes and thank him for saving my country from Nazi oppression. This would bring so much joy to me! Thank you, sir! You are a wonderful example to all of us! 🇺🇸 🇫🇷
Well, I being an American born citizen, would like to thank you/your countrymen for your help during the war for our Independence. Without it we would have lost. Thank you.
We need to always remember that division and hate bring tragedy and war while finding common ground towards the good of all brings peace, harmony and prosperity. We might not always agree, but we must learn to communicate in a productive way. My heart is heavy right now. The world seems to be on the brink of chaos. God help us all!
No disrespect to Mr. Tomter and all the other American boys who fought, but if the state of France today is "saved", maybe France could have done without "saving". Same goes for the rest of Western civilization. Bad Mustache Man was right. We should have listened to him.
God bless Reynolds, as a 24-year-old who's figuring life out and struggling with having gratitude despite being well off. This video is life changing and as a grown man I have tears in my eyes.
Jack, thank you for this interview! 107 years of wisdom. I loved watching this interview. My father lived to be 98 years of age. He lived through World War II, boots on the ground as a an soldier in the 71st infantry division. He was 19 when he left, had just married my mother, and had a six month old son. After Germany fell, he worked at the Nuremberg trials. Then he came home and fathered 7 more children. I was lucky to be called one of Frank’s daughters.
I'm 50 and he is from the same generation as my grandparents. I love that generation and I love hearing the stories they tell. When I was in college several decades ago, I attended a D day celebration and got to meet some of the World War II vets who fought their way across Europe after landing on the beaches of Normandy. I cried like a baby as I thanked them for their service and sacrifice. Some of their friends never made it home from the war.
Thank you for this. I lost my 91 year old dad in 2023. I miss his wisdom and humor every moment of every day. He is so similar to my dad. I felt like I was hearing my dad talk once again. Every word is what my dad would have said. Our veterans and elderly are precious treasures. Once they are gone we lose way too much. Please everyone glean fom him. Agreed you should get a dog too.
It's 4am and here I am watching this amazing beautiful interview, smiling and nodding yes to all Mr. Reynold's shared. What an honor and blessing to hear his deeply felt belief. I miss my grandparents and granduncles and grandaunties, same generation, from Peru but hearing Mr. Reynolds Tomter this early morning was like they were all present too. I salute you sir, may God continue to bless you with so much Love and blessings. We are blessed for your service and with your presence and wisdom! So grateful for this interview Jack Taylor!! (Mary L)
Thank you for a reality check that money, status and fame are not the main focus in life but family, friends and supporting your local community are what is most important. Reynolds you rock!!
God bless you, Reynolds. The world will be watching the Honor Flight and because of your story, be even more grateful for the bravery of our troops. Come home safely, and keep your days filled with good friends and safe driving 💖
It was a pleasure and so refreshing to listen to Mr Reynolds.. he is typical of those who came out of the greatest generation ever. Truly a different place in time.. the decade of the 1940s America's finest hour because of people like Mr Reynolds
God bless him! He is my grandparents age and I miss them very much. My heart aches as our generations destroy this country. Our grandparents and great grandparents were better at most everything, especially running our cities and country.
Wow, what a lovely man and how remarkable that he is in such good physical and mental shape! Reynolds is so sharp and positive. Jack Taylor did do a super nice job interviewing Reynolds-very likable personality!
I’d want to know: 1. Did he ever meet a cilvil war veteran 2. What did the WW1 generation feel about WW2? 3. What does he miss most about being young 4. What was the most amazing thing technology wise that he felt the most about 5. What would he give for advice to future generations Thank you for doing this video and thank you fellow Veteran. FINISH WELL!

We have all these young influencer men on social media but I think you can gain a lot more than all the prominent folks combined. The greatest generation. Thank you sir.
Thank you Jack for interviewing Reynolds as he is a bright star in the sky for humanity. He represents the way life should be with family and neighbors helping each other. Thank you Reynolds for serving our country.
Awesome video. He is truly from the greatest generation. They were raised during the great depression, fought tyranny in WWII, and worked hard to make "made in America" mean something great, and still bestowing timeless wisdom to those who will take the time to listen. Well done to both of you.
Excellelent video! My dad just died at 73. This man must have lived a much healthier life with way less stress. I like watching these stories! True gentleman
My mom lived until she was 96. If still alive she would be 104. She was from Wisconsin also. His thoughts on life remind me of my mom, being thankful for what you have, tomorrow is a new day.
Love this video. Thanks for sharing. I have an uncle who is 106. He’s still sharp as a whistle and keeps active. His advice is “if you stop moving, you get soft” so exercise is important.
Wisconsin farmers are the best. So grateful to have grown up on a small dairy farm with my big family in Wisconsin. This man reminds me so much of my grandpa.
Wow what a privilege to interview someone who has lived through the changes in our world that this blessed man has. To be that cognizant and aware, and able to drive, and speak this way at 107 is literally a miracle.
1000% agree. I've only seen a few 100 yr olds this sharp like this and I'm stunned
He is my inspiration to live a long healthy life

Surprised this gentleman hasn't noticed how 1 party has become socialist. Or maybe he just didn't want to get negative. 🇺🇲
