I found the Hill-Start-Assist was holding the brakes too hard during steep hill starts. I've adjusted the clutch pedal switch under the dash so that the brakes release sooner on the clutch engage. Otherwise I found you are fighting both the hill AND the brakes.
You mention in your last part of your video to take off from 1st between 1500rpm and 2000rpm, isn't that too high? I normally take off between 1000rpm and 1400rpm. Your thoughts?
Yea thats perfect. Its just an approximate range. As long its not over 2000rpm (all the time) taking off in 1st gear, its not gona overheat the clutch 👍your range is perfect.
Is there a built in reverse protection for when changing down from 5th to 4th,, example, some manuals u press the gear lever vertical down when selecting reverse .
I agree. I am just pointing out if not done properly it will wear out your clutch faster. I did mention if you know how to rev match properly go for gold 👍
That was a smooth downshift
Why my shifter is hard and sometimes i cant out it into gear?
thank you
Thank you for commenting. Appreciate it 👍

Nothing like that in the Jimny. Just normal reverse 👍
Rev matching is not a racing technique. It is the proper way to downshift a vehicle when breaking.
