That San Martín GMT looks much better in your video than in the photos they use to advertise, it’s a really good looking SM original design. A little too big for my wrist, though.
It is a lovely watch! The finishing is really good and the actual _design_ is very interesting as well! I will eventually find something wrong with it 😁 - otherwise the review will be really boring: "wow its so good... wow its so good... drool, drool"😂 Btw, the proportions are very versatile, so I think it should work for wrists from 5.75inch and up.
@@ShinyThings 😂 looking forward to watching the whole video until you mention a negative feature. I guess it would work on my 6.5 wrist. Curiously, the green version caught my eye…
The Seestern just went on the wish list - beautiful watch. Not a fan of the bezel or the hands on the Boderry; not particularly similar looking, but will be getting the Thorn Pelagos instead to add to the "classic dive" watch set.
I’m wearing the Seestern Sub600T right now! It’s gorgeous and the lume lasts all night. My only complaint is that the case is completely flat. With the protrusion of the case back, it leaves a gap between the bracelet and your wrist. Sighting down my arm, it reminds me of a teeter totter. A little downward curve to the lugs would have been nice. I just ordered the Boderry in blue with the bronze case yesterday!
I'm counting on decent sale in may and a homage of new red black gold Tudor GMT. Have you also noticed PT5000 disappeared? I have 2 watches with it and I'm happy with the movement, but don't remember anything new with it recently releasing.
@Sicarius888 Interesting point re PT5000. I think Cronos is still using it, their recent BB54 got it. Also, it looks like NH34 GMT overshadowed all other movements in the recent months :-) and I don't think PT5000 really has that much more to offer compared to NH35. Personally I would rather see the Myota 9K series as a 28800 alternative to NH35. Also, the new 'True GMT' 9K movement should eventually make a splash on AliExpress :-) I hope in the coming months.
@@ShinyThings PT is probably the cheapest higher beat option, but in terms of reliability I also trust NH and Miyota 9 more. I wouldn't mind trying true GMT, but for me caller NH34 version is more useful. And this San Martin looks nice. There might be a lot of GTMs recently, but most of them look like Rolex and I really hate cyclops.
But the San Martin GMT here is just a variation on the first one with the ceramic 24hr bezel, at least you could read the 24hr bezel and that came with a stainless steel beads of rice bracelet with a milled clasp.
I wouldn't call a variation. The case is very different, the dial is different, the bezel is different, including the bezel action, and the bracelet and the clasp are completely new design. The hand set is kinda the same, ok, I'll agree on that 🙂. Thanks for watching! 🙂👍
Personal favourite is the San Martin on the tropical strap, glad to see SM developing more original designs and consistent branding, another one to add to my wish list 👌🏻
@@ShinyThings totally agree, own a couple already but got 6 of the newer releases in my wish list, just trying to convince my wife that I could buy them all together for less than the price of 1 of her many designer handbags!!
Well spotted:-) The date is at the date changing time 'window' between 10pm and 2am. If you look at the footage when I just got it out of the box the date is straight on. Thank you for watching! 🙂👍
@Mrcxlixo It wasn't intentional :-) I only realised that 3 out of 4 are blue when I was reviewing the video prior to uploading 😳☺️ Thanks for watching! 🙂
@mobelue When I purchase I check for the 'Service' option on the right side of the screen (on a desktop) that says 'Free Returns'. This allows to send the item back for free (AE provides payed postage label similar to Amazon) within 2 weeks after receiving it. This is how it works for the deliveries to the UK. It might be different in other countries though.
@@ShinyThings Thank you. I cannot recall about my watch having free returns, but I check nowadays. I had to pay the freight. I have an issue with a Cadissen watch not arriving on time from the AE anniversary sale. I’ve “contacted seller” repeatedly. No response. Free returns don’t work if one cannot reach the seller. I got the exact same colorway Seestern 600T in the sale ... Absolutely love it.
It looks and feels like a quality watch. 🙂👍
@@ShinyThingsI have three from Seestern (this 600T, 300T and 62mas) and haven't had a bad watch from them yet.
My Seetern sub600t arrived yesterday , my new favourite watch! feels like a solid quality piece for a great price.

I bought the Specht & Sonne Monaco some months ago purely as a gateway towards the real one. Honestly for the money it’s been a great wear!👍🏼🤣

Good to know I've been eyeing it up.

That SM is sure a looker.
I like the Bodery. Nice sized dated window with framing. Very readable.
yes i have 2 of the monaco designs and there very good indeed. excellent infact.🤪
@stephenhaynes603 My initial impressions of that chrono are really good! Thank you for watching! 🙂👍
Thanks for not taking about Rolex or Watches and Blunders ! 😅
Rolex? hmm... I think I've heard of them... 🤔 a Swiss brand, right? 😉😁 Thank you for watching! 🙂👍
Really enjoyed your haul! Thanks for sharing!😊
Thanks for watching Wes! 🙂👍

I want that seestern 😢 but i bought way to many watches since the 11.11 sale
I'm in a similar boat my AliExpress list keeps getting longer and longer.

@mattinmalaga San Martin are crushing it at the moment :-) I hope they keep on developing their design signature in the future.

I got the Aqua Seestern “600T” and love it, best bezel action I own. Can’t wait for my Coke bezel titanium GMT from Boderry but it could be awhile
The seconds hand at 9 doesn't seem to be moving on that specht & sohne. Is it just a 60 minute totalizer?
@williamsipe1151 Yes, that is correct - the subdial at 9 o'clock position is a chrono 60 minute register.
Is it just me, or is the date window on the chronograph really far off!! Looks like the date is really far to the left.

Blue dial watches: 3 vs. Any other color: 1 😆

Are bezel and caseback of the Boderry diver made of titanium, too?
really intelligent and informative review thankyou
Thanks, appreciate such a positive feedback! 🙂👍
How do you sent your dodgy watches back? Does it cost you a lot? I had to return a San Martin watch back and it cost me $55 from the States.

You should get an automatic discount after 40 days if item is not delivered, or open a case with Ali?
4 hits and one miss? Which was the miss? Only saw 4 watches.
Great 1st impressions video
Thank you for watching! 🙂👍
What size is your wrist?
~7 inches.
