LEAN Brings the Aclima Smart Car to Louisiana

Over a three month period, the Louisiana Environmental Action Network (LEAN) brought the Aclima Smart Car to Louisiana's industrial corridor. The cars were driven day and night by facilities and neighborhoods to create a detailed picture of emissions. Why mobile? Mobile air monitors like these pick up different data than stationary monitors. Movement gives them the freedom to pinpoint high concentrations of pollutants. Is this technology scientifically verifiable? Yes. Aclima's methodology went through a rigorous verification process with the Environmental Protection Agency before it was brought to Louisiana.
