If anyone's curious how the war in BF4's campaign started:
In the book to Battlefield 4, Countdown To War, Admiral Chang planned on overthrowing the chinese government by having Jin Jie assassinated, who was going to be the future leader of China as well as bringing peace. The assassination failed however with Jie surviving. While the public thought he was dead, Admiral Chang informs the chinese people that the US is responsible for Jin Jie's death, the chinese go to war with the US with Russia being involved later on.
The campaign was good but could've been SO much better. My gripes are:
1. The squad leader not even speaking. Like bruh.
2. No mention of why the Titan was on its own with no protection - it was outside the EMP radius so wouldve had ample defenses against boarding even if hit with a missle.
3. Apart from like 5 bodies & 2 sailors, where the hell are the thousands of marines & sailors on the titan? Did 1 missle kill everyone and dispose of the bodies?
3. What happens to all the destroyers and other ship? You directly see one get sunk and that's it... you can assume the rest did but...
4. Dima. RIP my guy, they did you dirty.
5. Why was the US military deployed in China?
I feel that better, direct story telling could've made this campaign actaully cohesive & exciting. Unfortunately, its mainly a door opening sim with a side of shooting & explosions.
You've already put more work into the story than the story writers.
2. The Titan existed for one reason: to be sunk.
3. They somehow caught everyone off guard then locked the remaining crew under the floor.
3. Those ships were cut from the story so the bad guys could stand a chance.
5. The US military wasn't deployed in China, they attacked a Chinese base in Singapore to gain air superiority.

Agreed regards Titan existing to be sank. I suppose it wouldn't have been much of a story if they US navy was portrayed as competent 🤷♂️

Oh you meant Tashgar with the stationed troops. I think that part was never explained. The first crew we met was doing some sorta undercover operation behind enemy lines, while Major Anderson's forces were defending Old Town against the Russians.
@@undeadzilla3394 The u.s. military was deployed in China in the campaign. The U.S. captured but then were attacked in Tashgar China by the Russian Army. Tashgar is close to the China Afghanistan border. I'm assuming this game in advance was betting U.s. military bases in Afghanistan staged the capture of western China. And then China called on its Russian allies for support which is why the Americans were outnumbered as previous intelligence suggested western China was underdefended but they didn't expect a sudden Russian counter offensive. That's basically my take on it. I'm still confused on why in the multi-player on why Russia and China were fighting.
Edit: Tashgar is based on the real Chinese city of Kashgar.

BF3 & 4 were a great duology & fun story. ❤
3 is 4 is not. Story is really bad, campaing game play is unnoying and game is super buggy. B4 story sucks, " why they were fighting China In the first place" it wasnt clear while playing the game and their reason wasnt realistic either.

@@LesmondoVR only thing I remember from the story is the ending. And I replayed it 8 months ago. Ending was allrite but othervice... forgettable story.

maybe you don't konw something funny about the Admiral Chang's accent, which is laughed by Chinese players
For example he says "或对政治的干涉”(or the interference with the politic), but it sounds like "最优质的战士"(the most excellent worrior"
When he order to excute Irish, mabye he want to say "好，把他们杀死"（ok, get them killed）, but it sounds like “好，把他们上市”(ok, take them into the market)
Admiral Chang's accent is really a bit funny🤣

Apparently that was likely due to the fact the script was all in English, including all voice lines. So things had to be translated where needed. But not everything translated into Chinese correctly.
@@khylerbane4523 yeah. i've also read the official art of BF4, and I see some unauthentic Chinese words, more specifically some of the Chinese script they create is just literaly translated from English. It sounds very absurd, especially for its word's organization. I can understand this, since the developer was not likely to invite a sufficiently competent Chinese lingual consultant to supervise the script
Anybody had the same issue? I don't know why but for some reason AI doesn't do damage on other AI. So there is some parts ingame that a friendly npc is blocking the way and has to die so we can continue (cant remember the mission's name). It is possible (yet hard) to jump over them. I have this problem both on the 360 and PC (yes, already tried to reinstall It like 10 times)
I didn't encounter any major bugs apart from glitches with the knife animation. But after a quick search it seems like lots of people have the same issue you mentioned. Maybe you can find something useful.

Besides, i would like to talk about some Chinese players' comments on BF4🤓
Story: Bad! 😅This kind of military coup staged by a general or admiral is nearly impossible in China. We have a saying that "The party commands the guns", which means military is not allowed to overpower the authority's leadership. It may be suitable for some African or South American countries.
“金杰活了！”,the cutscene appear in the end of story, is also a meme among CN players. Literally, it means "Jin Jie lives". But to say it more authentically, it should be "金杰没死！” or "金杰还活着！"
Muti-player: Good! The voicelines of 3rd person are very good🤩. They are very authentic, such "尝尝爷的厉害”（taste grandpa's power), “差点就挂掉了”（almost die)
but the voiceline of 1st person is not so good. Escpeially when the assault deploying medic kit, he says"你的医箱来了，拿好"。 Actually, “医疗箱”is more accurate. 医箱 sounds like 遗像（portrait of the dead）🙃
However, BF4 is still the the game in which the Chinese dubbing is almost best prepared, compared to most of other games
And now i just curious about that how Russian would rate the Russian dubbing in BF😯
